Passat (B5) :: 1997 VR6 - Location Of Cruise Control Module?
I own a 1997 Passat VR6, dealership scanned and found that cruise control module needs to be replaced, but I want to do it on my own!! What is the location of the CC module.
View 2 RepliesFord Excursion :: Cruise Control Module Location On 6.0
My cruise control is out. I have checked the clock spring wiring and it is OK. Going to replace the brake switch today. Looked for the CC module but cannot locate. Where it is on the diesel X.
View 1 RepliesFord Excursion :: 2005 - Cruise Control Module Location
Discovering where my cruise control module is located on my 05 Excursion. . . I've looked at all of the pictures showing that it should be right in front of the a/c unit, underneath the vacuum pump, but on both my 04 and my 05 Excursions, there is nothing to be found on that location. Where the bugger can be located.
View 2 RepliesLexus LS 2007+ :: Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
I was driving at 65mph and decided to coast and slow my speed to 50mph, as there is congested traffic ahead. I know the radar will adjust my speed according but I wanted a slower set speed anyway. I held the cruise control lever in its downward position (thinking it was going to cause the car to coast and slow) Oh Oh! This thing is applying the brakes hard! I instinctively press the gas but it kept decelerating, no affects at all except the tranny downshifting or engine revving. I couldn't tell which, the radio was loud and it happened so quickly.
Moral to the story- I guess I should have read the owners manual. The manual say every .75 second the lever is held down the cars speed will be dropped 5 mph. My question is- since the car was applying the brakes and I overreacted and pressed the accelerator at the same time, was there a possibility of damaging a component? I know these cars are engineered extremely well.
Accord :: 96 - Speedometer Not Always Work - Cruise Control Module Or Variable Speed Relay?
Most of the time my speedometer isn't working. my cruise control works the same way. i've read that it could be the cruise control module or the variable speed relay.
View 1 RepliesLexus LS 2007+ :: Cruise Out Of Control - Sloppy In Speed Regulation
The cruise on my 2013 LS460 SWB RWD sucks big time! Both Dynamic and Normal cruise modes are WAY too sloppy in speed regulation. I was out today on a 55mph PSL two-lane with set speed of 59mph. On a long SLIGHT downhill, the indicated speed topped out at 70MPH!!!
BTW, tranny shifting was weird during this episode with a prolonged run at over 3k RPM. At any rate, that's 11mph over the set speed for the arithmetically challenged. So instead of tooling along at a maximum of 5 over the PSL as my 2007 LS would have done (set speed 59 + overspeed 2 = 61 indicated = 60 actual, so 5mph over PSL), I'm flying at 10mph over the PSL ripe for the picking by any county sheriff (and I saw THREE of them on that road, all with their radar on).
I figure my car's speed regulation (in both Dynamic and Normal cruise) is +11mph/-2mph for set speed of 59mph. That is crazy!
Lexus LS 2007+ :: LS460 AWD - Dynamic Cruise Control Option
I'm looking for a fully loaded AWD LS460 and haven't run across many with the dynamic cruise option. Was that option rarely chosen? It's time to add a second Lexus to the garage.
View 9 RepliesFord F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 2002 - Cluster Module Illumination / Horn / Cruise Control Not Working?
I am having trouble with all sorts of functions on my 2002 F150 4x4, 4wd not working, cluster module illumination not working, horn not working, reving up and down at idle and sometimes dyin, cruise control quit working. I have been reading it is the GEM module that causes these issues. My question is I ordered a new one from Ford, when it arrives I was told I can just install it and It should be pre programmed. but one ford house tells me that they have to install it and program it. Which it right? I have seen several sites on u tube where people replace the module and then start their truck right up without any issue.
View 2 RepliesLexus LS 2007+ :: LS460 Cruise Control Does Not Perform Automatic Downshifting
I have a 2007 LS460 and one issue I have, which could be costly unless I'm paying attention, is the cruise control does not perform automatic downshifting like my Honda does. In fact, my speed can increase by about 10-15mph going downhill, which a couple of times I've been lucky to realize my speed is increasing and downshifted manually and sure enough there was a speed trap. I really don't like driving by luck, if you know what I mean.
Is there something that is causing this? I do not recall that it has ever worked correctly...
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: 2007 GS350 Speed Just Drops Off / Cruise Control Not Working

Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2007 F350 - Check Engine Light For Glow Plug Control Module
So; I bought my 07 f350 6.0 the other day. I have a light on that sends a code for glow plug control module, but the truck starts fine, the same in cold temperatures as warm, so far nothing below 32 degrees though. I dont have the code # at the moment, but will update when i get the scanner back. Why this module is throwing a red flag?

View 2 RepliesCamry :: 2007 SE Cruise Control Switch Replacement
My girlfriend and I were riding in her 2007 Camry SE about a week ago on the highway. She pushed the button on the cruise control switch to turn it on, and the button popped out of the end of the stalk (it did not completely come out, but popped out about an inch). She pushed it back in, but it won't turn the cruise on now.
What all is involved in replacing this switch? I was assuming it was as simple as removing the bottom rear cover on the steering wheel and swapping it out, but I wanted to check beforehand.
Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: 2010 - Cruise Control Not Always Operating
The Crusie control has a habit of not always operating. Sometimes it will sometimes it wont. I have tried switching off the ignition and restarting without success.
On occasions after not working for 30 or 40 miles it will start working again. Difficult to get the dealer to do anything as they cannot replicate the fault.
Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: ESC Off Message / Cruise Control Inoperable
My 2007 Santa developed these symptoms recently and need to know if they are related or independent.
1) ESC off message is always lit and button doesn't work.
I checked and replaced fuse 19 in engine bay. Light didn't lit up for next 500 feet and I was able to turn and off with ESC button near knee panel. after that it was back on. My guess is one of 2 Or both 40amp relays in engine bay for ESC is/are bad.
2) Cruise control on/off works but Set doesn't and Cruise is inoperable.
Don't see any fuses for cruise control in engine bay or interior fuse panel.
Prius (2004-09) :: 2007 - Low Oil And Loss Of Cruise Control
In the last 5,000 miles or so, my 2007 Prius has been really burning oil and intermittently the cruise control stops working. No warning lights. Car sounds and feels as usual. 235,000 miles on it. Water pump, thermostat and drive belt replaced 3/2013. Check engine light has been on since about then and diagnosed then as either catalytic converter and/or oxygen sensors and I chose not to fix those as was told not necessary until.
View 3 RepliesChevrolet - Silverado :: 2007 - No Cruise Control Or Elevated Idle
I bought my second used 2007 chevy silverado 2500hd classic LT 6.6l diesel and the cruise control and elevated idle wont work. have done tons of reserch. And have found nothing useful to my situation. have found everything from a simple fuse to a module which is expensive. i have checked that all my brake lights work, have checked all fuses and even bought a new column switch for the cruise control. That didn't fix it.
I am thinking the brake switch or possibly something with the trailer whirring might be shorted or installed incorrectly.the reason i think it has something to do with the brakes is it is a common denominator between the cruise control and the elevated idle. if elevated idle is on and you touch the brake pedal at all it shuts off and idles normal on a working system. which i know from my previous identical truck. the brakes also shut off the cruise if touched at all. i have had a hell of a time trying to figure this out.
Subaru - Forester :: 2007 - CEL And Cruise Control Light Flashing?
On my 2007 Subaru Forester (100k miles) the CEL light is on and my cruise control light is blinking (cruise control does not work in this condition). Computer scan indicated front O2 sensor failed and my mechanic replaced it. No joy. Computer scan reported 0 data from EGR valve--replaced it. No joy.
View 2 RepliesFord Ranger / B-Series :: 2007 - Cruise Control Turning Off Every Once In A While
It started with the cruise control turning off every once in a while. Then it would only stay on for 7-8 seconds, then eventually it would turn on, then shut right off. Now it won't even turn on.
When I did the diagnosis sequence (On, Resume, Coast, Set....) it blinked 3 times saying "Bad deactivation switch or circuit". So I replaced the blue switch on the brake pedal and it still doesn't engage.
It's a 4.0 liter with a manual tranny. I've been researching this a lot, and it seems in 2007 they changed up things probably because of the big recall.
I don't see any kind of deactivation switch around the master cylinder. It seems that was in use until 2006 or 2005.
I see a different kind of switch on the clutch pedal, thinking it must also have a deactivation switch. I see a long spring loaded type of switch with about 5-6 wires coming out of it, but I can't find any info on the web about that switch.
All three of my brake lights are working. It seemed to deteriorate rather quickly (Over the course of 3 days) and now it's completely dead.
