Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Suspension Work Good But Hear Air Leaking And Ride Feels Like Crap
I have a leak on my Lexus, the car raises up normal my suspension work good but I hear the air leaking and the ride feels like crap.
Is there anywhere where I can get a diagram for the air ride system to see where all the air hoses go through.
I went under the car and I have a rough area where it is but if I could get a diagram it would be easier for me to see the hose I'm talking about and if possible would need part numbers along with the list.
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Bouncy Suspension / Ride Over Rougher Roads
Find the ride on the 2013 Elantra kinda bouncy ?....I thought it might be the cheaper OEM tires, but after running winter tires, the ride was still kinda skippy/bouncy over rougher roads.....

I've had the stiff ride issue with my 2005 gx470. Took it to three lexus dealers and finally the vehicle is fixed. Hats off to Lexus of Maplewood, St Paul, MN. Their shop foreman persisted and found after several days troubleshooting; a speed sensor was the culprit. My ride is much smoother over speed bumps without the need to cycle through the height adjustment.

Maybe it's because I've been away for two weeks and out of the RC, but when I drove for the first time in a while the car seems like it's noticeably bouncy on relatively smooth roads.
Again it could be my break from driving it. I mostly drive on Sport+ mode.
Lexus LS 2007+ :: Bouncy Ride When Going Fast On Freeway Over Bumpy And Uneven Pavements
I just bought a 2007 ls460 with 100k miles on the car love the vehicle but I have 2 issues with it first wind noise which I will get fix after dealing with the car bouncy ride. When I first got the vehicle i didn't notice the bouncy ride it happens when going fast on freeway 60+mph over bumpy and uneven pavements. It would bounce up and down and wobble side to side like crazy where it is scary that I will lose control if I don't hold on to the steering wheel hard.
So I replace all four shocks still no fix. My mechanic said my control arms bushing are bad. So I had all 8 front control arms replaced with OEM parts. That made a big difference on the driving and handling. It doesn't bonce as much as it did but it still bounce a little and wobbles side to side but not as much. I feel like the car is not suppose to feel this way only happens on freeway at high speed over bumps. Do I need to replace my rear control arms as well for the car to not bounce and wobble.
My mechanic said there are 10 total arms in the rear 5 each side. Will this work for my ride? Or do I need to replace new springs? I don't want to spend more money than I already have on it. I did a 4 wheel alignment and my specs in front are good but my left rear camber is -2.6 degree toe is 0.16 and my right rear is -2.0 degree toe 0.10 alignment guy said that if i change my rear control arm it might support the camber.
Toyota - Corolla :: 2014 - Ride Feels Completely Rough / Harsh And Jittery
I purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla Le Eco Plus last May. The car rode FINE for a few months, but then I began to notice that the ride feels completely rough/harsh. It's almost like a jittery feeling. After researching I've found reviews that said "the Corolla's ride is harsh and unpleasant," but to me it feels like it's gradually getting worse. That has me thinking something is wrong with the car itself, not just that the Corolla in general rides rough. I've taken it in to the dealership multiple times, but they say nothing is wrong. I honestly don't know what to do. What could it be? Struts? Shocks? I mean, it's BRAND NEW.

So after several thousand miles and many many moons of driving the R with my wife's wheelchair in the back, I find it way to bouncy for me. Still haven't put coilovers on due to this problem, I wasn't sure which c/o's would take the extra, say 300 pounds, on them as my DD. H&R RSS club sports are what I'm almost positive I'm getting seeing as they say keep those on the track, I'm sure they must be fairly sturdy. Now just a matter of time and saving money on top of health care for the wife which we won't go into. Now of course I'll put those on and then also their sway bars, front and rear along with someone's camber kit.
View 24 RepliesLexus RX 2010-15 :: Suspension Too Hard On Rough Surfaces?
I have owned my 2011 CPO rx for a bit over two months now. It has 19 inch rims and Michelin tires. I find the suspension to be much harder than I would have expected on rough surfaces. For example, when I drive over even medium expansion joints the suspension is somewhat jarring. The fact that the suspension doesn't absorb more of the road surprises me. My wife drives a 2011 MDX and that is much better over similar roads. I always thought that Lexus had more of a reputation for a plusher ride. Could it be the shocks already? The car only has 33,000 miles.

My rear air suspension keeps dropping. Sometimes my suspension goes down all the way when parked, but not all the time. When I start the car it goes back up. It's a 2003 GX470.
View 8 RepliesLexus LS 2007+ :: 2008 Engine Stopped, Ride Feels Jittery On Smooth Roads
I used to wonder if my engine was running when stopped at a light and marvel at the smooth ride of my 2008 LS460L.
Lately I have been feeling a rough idle when stopped and the ride feels jittery on smooth roads. The odd thing is the car idles smoother with the air conditioner running or when it is off. It is very noticeable when off and seems to be apparent when the car is fully warmed up .
The jittery road thing occurs both when the air is on and off. I bought the car CPO and it had the valve recall work performed (saw that was one possible cause).

I bought my wife a new 2014 Azera and we like it a lot but it seems to have a bounce at low speeds 0-20 mph, mainly when starting driving. It might seem to be a tire flat spot, but she only has 1,100 miles so far and it has always been there.
View 13 RepliesNissan - Maxima :: 1990 - Ride Is A Little Bouncy At Times
I installed lowering springs (1.5 inches front and rear) on my car, 1990 Maxima, with new performance shocks, but the ride is a little bouncy at times. I know this is from the reduced travel the shocks have..even though they are stiffer than stock. Is there any way to give a little more travel? or how to give the shocks more dampening force? (besides putting the old springs on of course). Would lighter wheels/tires work? How about loosening the center nut on the strut a bit?
View 11 RepliesAccent LC (2000-05) :: Rough Ride / Suspension Doesn't Seem To Absorb The Bumps
After every time I jack either the front of the car or the whole car up, the ride is really rough for a few days. The suspension doesn't seem to absorb the bumps, it feels like the body does and it makes for a really rough ride. What would cause this? I can tell you, one of my front struts is so stiff, you can barely compress it when pressing down on that side of the car. but after a few days of driving and taking the bumps, she evens out and rides normal.

I have A 97 F-150 4X4 with rear drums. I noticed the brakes felt like they weren't releasing right away after i let of the brake pedal. i took drums off and noticed on the left rear the front shoe moved normal but the rear shoe didn't move at all. on the right side front shoe moves normal rear shoe very very slow, and i could see rear shoe was worn way more than front. So I replaced on both rear the shoes, all the hardware, springs, wheel cylinders and brake line from cylinders to the proportioning valve.bleed the brakes, and adjusted the drag on the drums. Now i drive it, test it out, feels like the same issue is going on. feels like im driving with the brake on, and right rear gets really hot. Did i miss something? not do something right?

View 8 RepliesLexus ES 2013+ :: ES300H Suspension Or Shocks Adjustment To Make Ride Softer
I recently traded in my old 95 ES 300 for a 2013 ES 300H. I prefer the ride quality of the older model. I realize that many people prefer the new ride quality, but I don't. I have Michelin tires, and I have reduced the pressure to about 29 PSI, which worked, but I'd like to soften the ride more. Is it possible to adjust the suspension or shocks to make the ride softer?
View 10 RepliesHonda - Accord :: Suspension Bouncy / Car Leans A Lot When Going Around Corners
I have a 2003 Honda Accord V6. It has about 105K miles. The suspension seems a little bouncy. I would like better handling. The car leans a lot when going around corners. I've heard that new Honda struts are not as good for handling as some other brands.
I read that I should replace the dampers and springs together to get better handling. Most of the struts I've read about lower the car, however, I don't really want to lower it. I just want better handling for everyday driving. Am I on the right track?
