Lexus SC430 :: When Accelerating Torque Is Lost - Steering Felt Loose At High Speeds
I test drove the sc 430 the other day, I found it very smooth and very soft ride. I noticed that when I accelerate the car feels heavy as if it lacks the torque. Is this normal?
Also, the steering felt loose at high speeds above 60mph. Is this normal?

I have a 2013 es 300h.
To make a long story short, i had to have my front bumper replaced in May due to an accident but there was no mechanical damage to the car. They did an alignment to the car just to be safe.
Earlier this week, I'm not sure why I noticed that the steering was a little tight/heavy when turning left or right sometimes. It wasn't a major challenge just a little more strength then when driving straight.
Today, I took the car to the dealer and they ran all of the tests and everything came up fine except there was a code that the hybrid battery had been disconnected during the repair while sitting at the shop which created some sort of code that they cleared. The tech mentioned that this may have created the steering issues since the car may have thought their was low power.
After, I did notice it was a little better but still a little tight at times. I took the car back to the dealer and had the tech drive the car and he said the steering was normal for the car. Are they missing something or is it that I forgot how the car drives?

I've got an '06 F150 and the steering isn't right with it. It has had a heavy feel and is almost like the power assist is only working half as good as it should. It's been like this for a couple months. I 've had all four ball joints and the steering rack replaced in the last month. It had the heavy steering feel before and after everything was replaced. It also doesn't recover itself on sharp turns, I have to turn the wheel back as I complete the turn. Could it be the power steering pump? I thought it was a mechanical device and it either worked or it didn't, maybe they get weak?

I am experiencing heavy wobble,front section from 5 to 20 kmh , , like an unbalanced washing machine starting the spin cycle And again milder around 60 to 80 kmh. This is after tire change over to michelin pilot hx mxm4 65% thread .. professionally balanced .
I could still feel it with the blizzaks at low speeds, but way way less. Both sets are 225 50 r17 93v 35psi on original mags as per book
I was wondering if it could have any thing to do with tire wear geometry, or perhaps drive shafts ,but no clicks or noise from them.

Was driving on interstate and car started to loose power. Replaced battery and before I could make it home car started to loose power again (lost power steering and power brakes). Charged battery, replaced alternator, and now car starts fine but there are issues.
1) VGRS, VCS, and AFS lifts are on.
2) Steering wheel is 90 degrees off.
Car ran fine before alternator/battery replacement.
Lexus GS 2006-11 :: Spilled Oil On Engine Now Power Steering Dead
I need troubleshooting the power steering; the power steering went dead after I accidentally spilled oil on the engine.
I was refilling my engine oil when I knocked over the funnel and spilled about a quart of oil down the engine sides. I didn't think much of what happened, wiped off as much of the spill as possible and went on my way. When I started the car later the power steering was dead.

I had the P0430 code come up in my 06 GS300 AWD so i changed both passenger side 02 sensors. i followed the above instructions on changing the pre-cat sensor, changed my 02 sensor plugged everything back up and the P/S light came on and i lost power steering. I unplugged and checked everything at least 10 times until i finally gave up and gave it to lexus today. been about a week though driving without power steering. I couldn't avoid seemingly a huge pothole when drove at night, and the sound was really awful. After that, I could feel vibration through the steering. The ride isn't the same anymore. The dealer wants $352 for hose and $325 for labor. I called auto parts stores and they say its a dealer item only. Someone told me I could have a hose company rebuild it for a lot less.

Had mine for 5K service and had them check alignment. Steering felt sluggish and wheel was a few degrees off center from the day it rolled off the lot.
Both front wheels had toe-in over 1/2". Makes you wonder if this is due to spring settling.

My 75 Corolla wagon (2T-C 4 speed, rear wheel drive) has developed a terrible shimmy that can be felt in the steering wheel and shifter, as well as the whole car. It only does this when I am in 3rd or 4th gear doing between 35-45 mph.
