Saab - 9-2x :: Car Slightly Shaking - CEL Flashed / Cruise Control Light Stuck
I just got into my car with 49k miles and after I left the driveway the check engine light flashed, then went on solid as did the cruise control light. Meanwhile the car was shaking slightly. Its now parked in front of a neighbor's house. I re-tightened the gas cap and turned the car back on after I let it "rest". No improvement. Its shaking even in idle. I'm tempted to take to Autozone to have them read the check engine light code. But I'm afraid of making the problem worse by driving it. I recently got laid off and really didn't expect a car with so few miles to have any issues. Its a 2005 and I barely put 10k miles on it a year. (I'm the second owner and the car is out of warranty).

I had the cruise control set on the speed limit going up a hill. Half way up, the cruise control dropped as did my speed from 70 to 56. There were no warning lights but the battery meter was in the one bar pink range. I managed to continue up the hill at 56 mph by flooring the accelerator. When I got to the top and started to regenerate power to the battery, I regained power and speed. I am discussing a 2008 Prius with 89k miles. What the issue may be ( like battery pack declining efficiency)?

Suddenly my cruise control dropped out. With some investigation I'm pretty sure it's that sensor or switch stuck to on position. Brake light is on. Checked the brake system and everything works well. Fluid is full all 4 pads replaced 2 days ago. Plenty brake power.
The question is: how can I bypass that switch to get my cruise control back? I see 4 wires coming out of the switch: red, blue, green, red/orange, green/purple. How do I do it?

On my commute home today I tried to engage cruise only to find that would not engage. I cycled the switch a few times but that didn't work. I told a friend of mine about it and he mentioned that he experienced problems with his cruise on his GTI after he had switched the units on the MFD. Even though I didn't switch my units, when I got home I put the car in park and changed the units from U.S. MPH to KM/H and then back again to U.S. MPH. Lo and behold, cruise worked again afterward. Strange.

I have a 2010 GTI. The turn signal blinker seems to stick when I engage cruise control. Repro steps as follows
- Driving
- Signal left (or right, doesn't matter)
- Turn on cruise control
- Attempt to stop signaling (i.e. turn signal control moved into off position)
- Problem: Blinker continues
- Nudge turn signal control to the other direction
- Problem: Blinker shifts to the other side and continues blinking
- I can stop the problem by turning off cruise control.
Seems like a software quirk.
Golf/GTI VI :: Airbag Light And Cruise Control Out
My 2010 GTI with 18.6k miles has been doing great until now. After a brief stop on hwy. coming back from Florida the airbag light stayed on and the cruise control stopped working. Its at dealer's now and I got a rental from VW. Guy in shop did not seem to have a clue. He talked about a module or wiring. He asked me if car had been in a wreck - no.

When I set my cruise control at ~ 50-52 mph the DSG insist on using 4th gear. At those speeds 4th gear turns the engine past 3k rpm.
Why would it do this ? The only way I can get around this is going on tip mode and selecting the gear myself.
Golf IV R32 :: Sudden Loss Of Power While In Cruise Control
Earlier this evening on the highway while in cruise control I had a strange issue. Going up a slight incline all of the sudden I lost power, my ESP and EPC lights came on, and the engine was running very strange.
It wasn't stuttering but was louder and vibrating a whole lot more than normal. I pulled over and shut the car off for a couple mins, started it up, everything was normal and continued. About an hour later the same thing happened and when I started up the car again the check engine light was on.
I had my room mate scan it when I got back and it came up with ECM and PCM processor errors. Not sure what kind of problems this would be. All the searches on cruise control didn't turn up anything like this. What the problem would be? The cars a turbo'd r32.

So i had a long drive yesterday and i decided to use Cruise Control. I rarely use it, but I have tried it in the past and it worked. So yesterday it didn't work. The light never came on in the dash and it never actually worked. I plan on mentioning it to the dealer when i bring it in next time but i was wondering if there was something i could check for myself. Such as a fuse?

My cruise fails to engage, sometimes first thing in the mornings, sometimes in the afternoon, cold engine or warm, fresh start or on resume. After the car is turned off for a few, something is resetting it and it then works fine. Wondering if this has something to do with a faulty switch, fuse, or whatever. I've tried the cruise switch on the stalk in turning it off for a while, keeping it pressed in, turning it back on, everything.

I was driving today and my cruise control light came on and wouldn't turn off. i vagcom'd the car and a code came up which was:
Cruise control switch (E45): Implausable signal
P1569 - 35 - 10 ---- Intermittent
I tried clearing it but it would but the light remains on. I noticed that when i hit the RES button on the stalk, the light goes away and when that when I scanned the car and held the RES button the code would come back. My cruise control also stopped working.
Golf/GTI VI :: Cruise Control Malfunction - Set Speed Number Drop?
Cruise control on, set at, say 65mph. I want to lower the speed to 60mph. Tap down... click-click-click-click-click and watch the set speed number drop to 60.... then pop right back up to 65 and the car accelerates back to faster set speed. This has happened more than once now.
