Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Dashboard Warning Light For Alternator / Battery Occasionally Light Up While Driving
The past few weeks the dashboard warning light for my alternator/battery will occasionally light up while driving down the road. Whenever it does, my plug in voltage meter shows a healthy 14.x reading. It usually goes out after a few seconds, but will stay lit up for as much as thirty seconds. So other than voltage being too high or too low, what else will cause the dash trouble light to illuminate?

SO like the title suggests i had my EPC light come on while driving down the interstate. I was on cruise and had been for about an hour. then the motor seemed to stall and then pick up right away but wasnt at full power. i had the gas pedal to the floor and was losing speed. the cruise had come off as soon as the motor faulted. the light stayed on constant and i did not get any other lights or sounds to accompany it.
I pulled off at the next exit and stopped in a parking lot. I turned off the car and then turned the key to see if my check engine light was still operating. it was so i listened to the car as i turned the key on completely. I didn't hear any odd sounds and the EPC light was no longer on. I pressed the gas pedal and the motor responded with full power. Not sure what would cause this 2 occur but I am concerned that it may happen again and i may get stuck somewhere.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Oil Pressure Light Turns On While Driving
I have a 2001 Golf 1.8T and while driving the oil pressure light turns on and the meter goes beyond the midpoint. I brought it in to a shop and they told me I need to change the oil pump and will cost $900. They told me it's because I don't frequently change oil and once the new oil is in, it caused the problem and only way to drive the car again is to replace the oil pump.

I have a VW 2003 VR6 jetta and lately I need to turn my key 2-3 times to start the car. Then while driving during daytime hours its stalls after 30 - 40mins. With EPC light on. I also have an engine light on.
Code P1151. I noticed a small exhaust noise coming from my middle pipe and my engine is very hot after driving for 30 -45 mins after it stalls. It does start back up after 10 minutes but stalls later.
Golf/GTI VII :: Low Coolant Warning Light And Message Come On While Driving
Had my low coolant warning light and message come on while driving home from work. My car is 1 year old with 30k on it, motor is hot right now and coolant is a good bit below the minimum line (will post a pic soon). I do my service intervals at 7500 miles at most and regularly keep an eye on my oil and coolant levels.
I just checked the coolant last week after an oil change and noticed it was at the bottom minimum line, it's fairly below that now. Does this call for a ride to the dealership? I've seen where people have had pumps/hoses replaced already due to leaks. Nothing on the ground from what I can tell and nothing seems to be leaking under the hood.

I'm coming home from just running errands around town, got the stereo on pretty loud, normal driving, good weather, and the engine just shuts off. Lights are still on, regular brightness, everything electrical working, but battery light and EPC light are on and the engine won't restart. It'll turn and "click" like it's about to start, but just the starter turns over.
Fast forward 5 minutes (no activity in the interim), and it starts up first try. Battery light is now off but EPC light is still on. This happened about 2 blocks from home, so I gently take it home. 1 block away, the EPC light goes off. I let it idle for a minute and everything now seems normal. I shut it off and so here we are.

I was driving on a high speed highway (70 limit) doing 80 on cruise control and about 10 mins into my drive the car disengaged itself of the cruise control and the check engine came on for about 5 seconds while the car was forcefully slowing down by itself and then the check engine disappeared and I accelerated back to 80 and set it again for the rest of my hour drive. It wasn't just disengaging of cruise control it was like the engine shut off for a few seconds and then came back on.

So leaving work yesterday I noticed my coolant light was on. I checked the coolant level and it was like under an inch below the min level.
I decided to try to drive it a few miles to the dealership for coolant, keeping an eye on the temperature. When taking the exit to get to the dealership the car shut off and the battery light came on. I started it back up and it ran fine the remaining 50 feet until I got to the dealer. I parked it in the service lane and checked the coolant again and it I had almost no coolant in the resevior. I'm almost sure I need a waterpump, which was my first assumption the second I started the car. What I'm wondering is why the car shut off while driving. The engine temperature didn't change the whole way there but I'm wondering if it could be that the car thought it could soon over heat, so it cut the power, or if it could be something else.
The car is a stage 2 2013 GTI with 24k miles.
TLDR~ Can a mk6 gti that is low on coolant shut itself off the protect itself from overheating? Could coolant have leaked onto something to make it shut off? Or do you think it would be for another reason?
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Oil Pressure Warning Light After Driving For About 15 - 20 Minutes
I have a mk4 Jetta 1.8t. Problem started last night. After I drive for about 15-20 minutes the oil pressure warning light comes on. It doesn't feel any different and my oil is full. Could my pump be going bad? I hear a slight tick near the bottom of the engine on the passenger side. But the car idles fine and drives fine too.

I recently got a 2001 Mk4 GTI from carter Volkswagen in Seattle with 113k on it last friday (it did come with the car fax). I drove it back home to Wenatchee and it ran fine and is still running fine... I think. Today as i was coming home from school the check engine light came on when i was in 3rd gear and the car just wasn't driving as smooth as it was the first day (it felt as if i was driving over really really small bumps or like something was loose and was moving around a lot).
When I would get to a red light and be in first gear the light went off but it came back on as i would shift into 3rd and stayed on when i got into 5th. It recently had its oil changed at 112,000 miles. Also when the car is just idling the tachometer is going up and down a little bit, it is idling at about 600-700 rpms. I got this car because i didn't want to have a car with problems any more (I had an 88 Isuzu Trooper before).
Golf V R32 :: Hesitation And Loss Of Power Suddenly While Driving
I drove my car to work today and no problems. Tonight my wife and I took the car out to go to dinner and intermitantly there and back my car is hesitating as we drive along. I thought it was odd at first then my wife asked if I was kidding around. I told her its not me.
It's as if the car is driving then all of a sudden its like a loss of power or as if the limiter kicks in and starved the engine of gas and then a second later it jerks back to life and keeps going.
If it does this tomorrow its going to the dealer. It is not throwing any warning lights and I have 3/4 tank of gas so its not that.

While driving my lights flash like a strobe light and I can see this at night. The. The car loses electrical power for 1 sec and then all okay. In the morning when I start the car I get ESP errors whilst idling, I then turn the car off and try to start it again and everything is completely dead!
When connecting jumper cables then trying again it works, the. I don't have a problem for about 3 days the. The same thing happens. Battery is brand new, had it at the dealers and errors are intermittent electrical errors but doesn't say where.

My 04 GTI 1.8T got the infamous codes P0300, P0303 and P0301 yesterday morning. The check-engine light flash when I drive it. It is a little rough when the check-engine light flashes, but it is drivable and nothing major. When the car idle or when it come to a complete stop for 15 seconds or so, the check-engine light goes away and it comes back after 15 seconds or so after took off from stop.
I cleaned the MAF last night, but the check-engine light still acts the same way as yesterday on the way work this morning. The codes refer to miss-fire. This is my first VW.
Since I can easily get sparkplug from Checkers, I'll try it first. Checkers carries Autolite, ACDelco, NGK and Champions. Which brand do you prefer for VW engine? I hope that it is not the coil pack. It is expensive for $30 each at ECS Tuning.
