Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Stop Motor Oil Pressure Low Turn Off Car Started Flashing?
So I put in an MFA cluster a couple months ago and now all of a sudden the other day it started flashing STOP motor oil pressure low turn off car. It happened twice right in a row. I took the car to my local firestone changed the oil and pulled out. Five mins later it did it again. It only seams to go off when my rpms are really low in second or third gear. I'm guessing it's a bad sensor cause my oil level is fine.

I'm looking at a 1999.5 MKIV Jetta to buy and one thing I noticed is that the CEL doesn't light up when you turn the key to the "on" position. All other lights light up except this. I'm familiar with MKIII's and it does light up.

Yesterday driving on the highway, i hear a sudden "clank" and out of the corner of my eye i see my key turn itself to the off position. which i think is really strange... my rpms went to 0 and everything died.
I pulled over, put it in park. I tried to start it but the key wouldn't turn cause it locked. So I took it out and tried again. It started just fine.

The "Low Oil Pressure - Stop Engine" warning message came on while my wife was driving yesterday. The warning went away after a brief moment. I check the oil when I got home from work. It's at max and the oil looks clean (had it changed about 1000 miles ago). We've never seen this warning before. Is it just a fluke or is it something that should cause concern.

I have received this alert a few times while driving - it lasts a few seconds and then goes off. My mechanic says oil pressure is good and suspects erroneous message. I also received that message once while the engine was not running, ignition on, listening to the radio. This seems t support erroneous message.

03 gmc envoy. Whether I put little in my tank or fill it up, 80% of the time when I turn the car on after putting gas in it the dash says "low oil pressure stop engine" for about 30 seconds. That's the only time it ever says it and the pressure gage goes up to 40, where it's always at. I check the oil regularly, there's a slow leak between the motor and tranny but I keep it full, it's never low. Can this cause major damage to the engine?

I am having a problem with my car today. When I started it today while going home from work I noticed that it's idling a bit rough. Then i noticed that the pressure is going under -0.8 bar. Golf 4 1.8t boost going under 20 hg at idle. While driving it is normal but when i slow down it hesitates like it's gonna turn off and the pressure goes less than -1 bar .. What the problem may be ?

I am a new Volvo XC90 owner/fan. The issue is my lovely 2006 XC90 2.5T started to show the bizarre 'No Oil Pressure. Stop Engine.' dash board message red color.
First things I checked right after seeing that message.
Engine oil level - FINE (actually full).
Engine oil - CLEAN and recently replaced.
I drove 100 miles and the weather was peaceful 40f degrees (5c). The sign would come and off intermittently and stayed there for some time. We were luckily at the destination so we stopped the car and did our biz.
After a couple of hours we started the engine, drove a car, came back home driving 100 miles back without an issue.
But after a day, actually today, I saw the same message again. It was intermittently again and then would stay. If I restart the engine the message would go away but then would come back after sometime of driving.
So I called a couple of normal non-Volvo repair shops and they didn't know what the issue is and didn't even know why I would check the engine pressure. So OK pass.
I called Volvo dealer and he said if it is a 'low engine oil' message you can just top it up but if it is a 'engine pressure' message then the issue can be huge so he advised to tow the car in.

Once I start the engine it goes away. Is this normal?
My battery reads 12.6 with the engine off and 13.8 with it on.

- Three days ago, after a cold start, while driving to work "STOP! OIL PRESSURE ENGINE OFF" came on the display and disappeared right away.
- Drove the car to work and did not stop.
- Came back home and saw "Some" Fluid leak on my driveway. I touched it but did not seem like engine oil (I am making this assumption based on the fact that the fluid was not dark, but it was oily".
- I have not received that warning after that single incident.
- I have not seen any new leaks either.
- But, when I press the accelerator, there is a ticking noise.. something like - if you put a card in a bicycle wheel.
My car is due for service. So taking to the dealer day after tomorrow. Miles: 70870....
Ford Ranger / B-Series :: 2001 - Driver Side Power Window Motor Won't Stop After Window In Upper Position?
2001 Ranger 4 liter 4 door My driver side window goes up and the electric motor does not stop running when the window reaches its normal upper position. Instead it goes bang-bang-bang until I take my finger off of the switch. I'm guessing there is a limit switch that should disconnect the motor but has failed. The bang-bang (again I'm guessing) probably is some sort of a spring loaded torque limiter to protect the motor. Other than that, the window goes up & down as it normally should. I have no problem digging into the door, except with the window, door lock and outside mirror switches, I don't have a clue regarding how to get the inside door panel off. I know to disconnect the battery 1st.

Had 2 coils go bad last week. Got them replaced. Today I am on the turnpike doing 70 and my oil light comes on and oil pressure drops all the way. No engine noises and temp is OK so I coast to the next exit. Get off and go to the gas station in the corner. Turn the truck off...
Wait a few minutes, when I go turn it back on it wont start. The motor wont even turn. It just clicks.
I notice smoke coming from the wire that goes from the starter relay to the starter so my brother comes and gets me and we go to the nearest auto part store and buy a new relay.
Replace it and try to start it, same thing. Just clicks and smoke. My brother gets under the truck and taps the starter as I try to start it, no go. I am fearing the engine locked up. But no engine noises, clicks or clacks or anything. Battery is fine as well. Any thoughts on what else I can try?
Golf VI R :: Oil Pressure Warning Message During Aggressive Cornering
At times when taking my beloved R aggressively through a long, tight turn (e.g. highway cloverleaf on ramp), usually while while accelerating, I get an oil pressure warning message (turn off engine immediately)...which goes away immediately once I straighten out/ease off on the aggressiveness.
Is this just an indication that oil is a little low? I can't say specifically what the interval vs. the last oil change was when I've had this happen.
Golf IV R32 :: Stop Message Displayed In MFA Upon Start Up
Upon starting the car this morning this was displayed -
There was no driving done. The car was turned off, and turned back on a few minutes later and the message was no longer present. The overnight temps were around -15*F, so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. There was no other message displayed, but the coolant light flashed for a couple of secs during the initial start but not the follow-up. Coolant level is normal, and wasn't frozen.
Does it come on for multiple reasons or only one?

Coming home from a 2500km round road trip and back. At the time I was about half way home during the 1300km day, the car is in D and has been all day and it has been about 500km since I last came to a complete stop. I stop at a red light on the highway in a small town on my way through, look at the tach and see the rpms, once its dropped down to first, dip down to about 300 or so, then quickly back up to 550/600 which is its normal idle, then all the sudden it stalls out completely killing the motor. Cycle the key and start it up right away and it drives as usual. his might be the 2nd time this has happened. R32's and DSG.
