Opel Astra :: 2002 - Constant Misfire And Engine Shaking
My 1.4 petrol opel astra keeps misfiring every few weeks . When I turn it on the check engine light comes on and the engine shakes so much I can feel it in the steering wheel. When it does I take it out on the road and floor it in 2nd gear for a while and it settles down again for a week or two then one day I jump in and surprise surprise another misfire. It's just been serviced and had timing belt changed. Spent too much money on it in the last few months so I'm wondering if this could be one issue too many. What may cause this kind of constant misfire...

The floor on the back drivers side of my 2001 Astra is absolutely soaking wet. It happened one day that my car was flooded with water in the back of the driver seat as well in the front to the pedals First the amount of water was big enough but after the sponge from the back of the passenger seat and the floor sponge that is underneath got soaked with water. Its impossible for me to squeeze the water from the sponge. Now its not leaking from nowhere its just the water that remained in the sponge. My question is how is that possible to find myself flooded with water only in the back and front of passenger seat. Its seems that all water came from the back of the driver seat on the floor. What should i expect next that is going to happen? is this going to damage my car in the near future?

My R is coming up on 140k miles. The shocks and struts are pretty beat and it rattles badly. I'm really thinking about just replacing the suspension components with oe type stuff or is it really worth it to spend the extra money on a coil over kit? A little lower stance and some adjustability would be nice, but not super important to me. I'd have to get a lower end coil over kit too, so is it really worth it? Or should I just replace the stuff and be done with it?

I purchased a 2005 Opel Corsa C 1.8l with around 70k miles. The car is in a fantastic shape, I've had it for around 6 months, having driven around 6k miles. The first maintenance I did was changing all oils and filters, and changing the accesory belt (the one that powers the alternator, that one is not dented). I was told back then at the workshop that the timing belt (not sure if that is the correct name for the belt with dents that syncs valves, etc.) was in a good shape. I don't know if the previous owner/s ever changed it. I understand that the damage done when that belt breaks could get pretty serious, with bent valves, mainly. The question is, should I change the belt now? How long do those last?

I have a 2008 Saturn Astra and there is a high pitched squeeling sound when i accelerate from a stop. It has been happening since last year but seems to have gotten worse. It only happens in the summer time. It squeels only when accelerating at low speeds. if I accelerate quickly the sound goes away. but will come back if i come to a stop and accelerate normally again. It doesnt start from 0 RPMs but only at low rpm. It only happens when I first turn on the car and accelerate. If I have been driving for a few minutes and then accelerate from a stop it doesn't make any unusual sound. It happens in reverse as well as drive.

I have a problem with my 2008 Saturn Astra hatchback with about 75,000 miles. So far this has stumped every mechanic I've taken it to. They all want to have the car for a few hours to drive it around and diagnose the problem.... which I don't want to do just yet.
Sometimes when I'm slowing down, I hear a quiet tapping/knocking coming from somewhere. The back right maybe? It's very quick, almost like a card stuck in the spokes of a bike wheel.
The strange part, though, is that the frequency doesn't change as I slow down. Whether I'm going 10 mph or 20, the frequency is exactly the same. Even stranger, sometimes it's not even there.
Some other things that might be useful: I have a manual. Pushing in the clutch doesn't change the sound when it's there. Neither does hitting the brakes. I did have a blowout on the highway about six months ago (the back right tire....which is why I first thought that's where the sound was coming from), but the sound has only appeared in the last few weeks.
Saturn - Airconditioning - Astra :: 2008 - Compressor Never Budges When AC Is Enabled
My fiance's 2008 Saturn Astra no longer has AC. The compressor does nothing when AC is enabled. You can hear the engine bog slightly when the button is pressed so /SOMETHING/ is happening, but the compressor never budges. My first instinct was to check the freon so I picked up a kit to recharge the system. Pressure was 60psi on the upper and lower ports. I saw some people commenting about blower relay's and resistors. The HAV system and blower work...fine minus AC.

I drive a 2002 Opel Corsa and am completely clueless when it comes to anything beyond changing oil and tires...
My windshield wipers have suddenly begun to stop their movement in the top position instead of at the bottom, thereby getting in the way of driving. The wiping function still works perfectly, so it doesn't seem to be a motor issue. The wipers just stop in the wrong position when turned off.
I happened to be at the garage for something else, and the guy there said that he would just have to replace the motor, but to try to to find a used part somewhere so that it wouldn't cost a lot. I think it seems silly to replace the motor for something that seems simple.
How to reset the default of the wipers? Is there a way to just remove the blades and change the position or something?
Lexus IS 2014+ :: RWD Versus AWD
I cannot get a rear wheel drive 350F sport in the northeast unless I order one and wait 3 months + for delivery. I never drive in snow or ice. I can get an AWD. I don't want the extra cost, weight and complexity of AWD. However I would consider it if the fun and handling factor was not much worse then the RWD.

Camry :: 2010 SE Versus LE Grille
I have been looking around online for a chrome grille replacement for my 2010 SE Camry. Problem is every site I visit and 90% of the grilles on ebay only sell grilles that fit the LE or XLE model. They all say "Does not fit Hybrid or SE model" however they look the same size in pictures. Are the LE and SE Grilles really not interchangeable for 2010? Here is an example of one I am looking at:

I am trying to convince my father into buying the VW Toureg. He has a Mercedes SUV, and he tells me that it is way too expensive for a VW. I like his SUV, but i own a VW Jetta GLI 1.8t. Drove down yesterday it was drizzling and saw an SUV coming up rapidly behind me. Moved over to the middle lane and opened up as he trid to go past, we go to 130mph before traffic slowed me. As he cruised past in the fast lane I noticed the V10 TDI badge. Over 120 the wind resistance became a factor more for the Touareg than me.

My 2010 Prius just turned 11,000 miles. Recently with colder weather it has become a rattle machine. Last winter it did not rattle at all. I then rode in my friends 2007 with 115,000 miles on it and it was still solid and tight on the same cold weather day. Did the Gen II have better build quality with fewer rattles?

why sometimes when I start my car it defaults to recirculate and other times fresh air?
I almost always leave it on fresh air but when I start the car it's often on recirculate. AC is off when this happens.
Same thing happens on my wife's Highlander but in no other car have I had this problem.
