Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: Code B1382 - Airbag Light Came On And Will Not Clear
2003 Santa Fe GLS 120K mi. 2wd, 2.7L, AT.
Been having for some time an intermittent problem where the air bag light will come on and not clear. I can clear it sometimes by removing the neg. batt. term. and letting it sit for a few minutes. The "air bag" light always seems to come on when someone sits in the passenger seat. The dealer reported a trouble code of "B1382-- PSAB harness improper pin tension" They said that they re-seated a connector and it was good to go. Now the "air bag" light is on again. Does the description refer to the pin tension in a connector? which connector does it refer to and can I just tighten up the female part of the connector such that the male pin makes better contact? Is it the yellow connector under the seat?
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2005 - Code P0011 Intake (A) Camshaft Position Timing / Over Advanced (Bank 1)
2005 GTI 1.8t Engine ... I changed my timing belt water pump and tensioner yesterday and today I am receiving an engine code: P0011 Intake (A) Camshaft Position Timing - Over Advanced (Bank 1) My friend timed the engine and knew that is was 1 tooth advanced. He told me that is was going to be OK because 1.8t's have a 1 tooth tolerance. I would have redone it but I did not know how. What to do in this situation? Do I need to re time the engine?

I got a feeling of dread when that light came on, luckily I was a block from home so I shut it off and pushed it home. I had a local VW mechanic come look at it the next morning, only the light wasn't on anymore there is a loud humming coming from the top of the engine, the head as it were, as if high RPM, but no clanking or metal on metal grinding. Does it spell game over?

The car sat in a garage for 9 days. It had no problems before. Now I have a p0441 code that comes back after being cleared, and an intermittent gas cap light. Is there a typical problem that causes this?
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: ABS And Traction Light Won't Go Off - Code P00285
Currently I have a 01 mk4 GTTDI golf. It has been parked up for a year but i want to get it on the road again, the Traction control light and ABS light are on on the dash and wont go off, i had a friend run Diagnostics and a fault of p00285 - ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Front Right (G45): Electrical Fault in Circuit.
Within the last 3 weeks i currently iv changed both front wheel speed sensors for brand new items, i cleaned the tone rings with a wire brush, and fixed a lose connection on the passanger side (RHD car). With the diagnostics we tested to see if the sensor was picking up anything, and with the car moving it wasn't picking up the speed.
I can't see any damage to the wires, and everything looks ok,

These wires look a little damaged but the insulation is still intact.
Wheel speed sensor new and fitted properly.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: 2005 - Car / Door Alarm Light Goes Off
So in my 05 gti , the door ajar light stays on and when it does go off it will randomly blink ! I'm guessing there must be a loose connection somewhere ? Also all of a sudden my alarm will randomly go off . It's annoying . I'm not sure how to fix it .

Just this morning, the check engine light went away.

Just installed a short Ram intake on my 2000 Vw Jetta 1.8t. Had the Intake for about 250 miles and now the check engine light came on. Just pulled the code p0411 secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected. Is this just cause there is more air going through the MAF sensor?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Check Engine Light Recently Came On And Code Is PO1128
I have a 2000 jetta 1.8t. Check engine light recently came on and the code is a PO1128. I replaced the maf sensor and that did nothing but make the car run worse. I've check for vacuum leaks and found a busted line at the egr valve, fixed the line, reset the code only to have the check engine light come back on with the same code. I am at a loss now.

Car shut off while driving to work. ASR and EPC light lit up. Pulled over to the shoulder, car had a really rough idle. Cut the car off and started it back up. Now the pep in my car is gone and it seems like I'm driving with reduced power.

After a couple of weeks same issues again brought it to my mechanic he ran a leak detector and told me that there are Evap leaks. I read somewhere that I might need a need charcoal canister and a fuel tank.

Bought a Mk4 1.8T gti last year had only about 75,000 on it and drove it for about 10,000 miles. The check engine light went on about 2 months ago and the code read 3rd gear incorrect ratio. It still rode fine until about a week ago when it started slipping. Brought it to the local transmission guys in my town and got a quote at about $3,000-$3,500 to have the transmission rebuilt. The transmission is a tiptronic automatic 6-speed.

After running to operating temp, if the car is turned off then restarted (like you would at a gas station, which is where I notice this) the engine will turn and turn and turn but not fire. I have noticed that stomping on the acceleration will cough it into life during this procedure. This doesn't happen every time and I have recently run high octane gas during a long distance trip.

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Check Engine Light Came On / P0135 Code For Sensor Heater Circuit
I have a 2002 Jetta 1.8t. My check engine light came on and it gave me the code P0135 sensor heater circuit. Bank 1 Sensor 1. We bought a new 02 sensor and replaced it. We definitely bought the right one too. Cleared the codes. After a little driving the CEL came back on with the same code P0135. What is wrong and how I can fix this?
