Golf/GTI VI :: Side View Mirrors Unfolding Lag
For those of you with power folding mirrors on their Golf VIs: Do you ever experience unfolding lag? Mine sometimes take up to 2 mins to unfold after moving the rotary switch, while other times they unfold instantly.

How to disassemble the power fold mirrors on my 2011 F250.
The mirrors work in every way except they will not fold in or out. You can hear the motor start but then stops right away. It does not sound like the gear is stripped just that the motor is stuck some home. It happened to both mirrors about the same time.
I was going to take one apart and see if there is a issue. I can't see there being a electrical issue, but maybe, since the driver side starts then stops within 1 second. It's hard to tell about the passenger side since the switch is on the drivers side.

1) how do you get the mirrors to fold in automatically when the car switches off, like most other vehicles? I can do it manually each time using the knob but I am sure there's another way?
2) I have the keyless entry option. I figured out how to lock the car using the little square button on the handle so I don't need to take the key out of my pocket, but how do you open all four doors without taking the key out of your pocket?

I love the power folding mirrors on my 2014 F250 Lariat, really makes a difference in parking lots. Is it possible to make them fold automatically when turning off the vehicle? I know it is a lazy person question but with automatic seats and mirror/peddle position wouldn't automatic folding also be a good idea?

Golf/GTI VI :: 2015 - Power Mirrors Not Functioning Properly (or Not At All)
Some time ago my power mirrors stopped working. I don't normally adjust my mirrors all that much since I'm the only one who drives it but when I have, adjusting the mirror knob does nothing... and when it does, moving the joystick down will move the mirror up!
Depending on whether the lights are on or off all seems to change whether or not the mirrors will work. My right mirror seemed to be working fine but then that stopped as well.
Nothing is ever consistent; either they don't work or work very intermittently.
I've pulled the door skins off and nothing is torn or ripped wire-wise, changed the knob to a brand new one and still nothing.What it could be?
I'll bring it to my mechanic and sure enough it'll work when tested then will stop working randomly. Everything else electric wise seems to be fine (windows, horn, headlights, locks).

My folding mirror on the drivers side folds out good but when bringing it back there is a clicking sound and it doesn't move, a slight pull on it and it comes back ok. 2011 F350 SD.

Having issues with their mirrors folding in? One of mine makes a popping sound and will not fold in or out. I can hear the motor running, sounds like a gear is out of alignment. key fob worked when i first got car a few months ago, previous owner wanted strereo so changed stereo now key fob doesnt work,
Tried so far: removed Car battery for 10 mins Checked all relevant Fuses Used VAG - Com to check Qty of Keys programmed = correct Used VAC COM to re-sync key. Car signlaed a beep to show correct programming Used VAG com to inspect convenience model, No faults found. Used VAG com to measure sensor, this displays a 1 or 0 dependant on which button is pushed,
Notes Central Locking works from Key in door and via internal push button. Dead locking works if u use key in door twice - alarm arms if Car is dead locked and unlocked with Key in door, the Alarm sounds, I have to put key in ignition and quarter turn to disarm. So in summary It would apear Central locking works as does the key as does the sensor. What else can i try?
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Windows Rolls Down When Unlocking
Why it does not want to work. And to break it down - I click the unlock button once (as I have always been doing) and the blinkers blink 4 times and all the windows automatically roll down. I know that on newer cars that is a feature, but only when you HOLD the button, not click it.
Where the problem could be? Only thing that I'm suspicious on is the 'new' used lock I bought because the old one just didn't lock at all and wouldn't recognize that the door is open. But in the beginning it didn't do that and seemed to work as pretty much new.
Golf IV R32 :: Both Rear Doors Randomly Not Locking Or Unlocking
Okay, i have an issue with both rear doors randomly not locking or unlocking, i have to manually push down on the rear door lock buttons to lock them, then when i try to unlock them they get stuck, then when i pull the inside door handles they pop up again only sometimes.
1. I use keyfob to lock or unlock wont work
2. I manually put key into the drivers door, still not working
3. I use the inside drivers door switch and still doesn't work
Other problem is when I arm the alarm with keyfob, battery goes flat, i think it's sensing that the door is open why its draining the battery. Both front doors work excellent.
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 F250 - Power Mirrors Won't Extend
2011 F250 6.7 Lariot Fx4. My factory Trailor mirrors won't extend. When I push the button it just gives me two chimes. The power fold and other options work, just not the extend. Not sure but don't think it's a fuse since everything else works.

My key fob remotes decided to quit working today, both of them simultaneously. which I thought was weird but I went ahead and put new batteries in both of them and they still don't work. I did a little research and figured out how to do the on off key thing 8 times to reprogram the key. I was able to get the truck to enter the programming mode, but when pressing the lock button on the fobs while in programming mode nothing happened with either key. my truck is a 2011 6.7 liter lariat.
