Ford - Explorer :: 1998 - Right Turn Signal Recently Stopped Working / Hazard Lights Work
The right turn signal on my 1998 Ford Explorer recently stopped working. The flasher was making a horrible buzzing sound when I tried to signal right, but worked fine signaling left.
I just replaced the flasher, which has cleared up the buzzing noise when trying to signal right. The flasher clicks like it's supposed to, but the lights still do not flash.
Here's a summary of the current symptoms:
-Hazard lights work fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash
-Left right signal indicator works fineFlasher clicks; interior indicators flash; exterior lights flash
-Right turn signal does not work
-Flasher clicks
-Interior indicator stash off; exterior lights stay off
What to check next???
Accent LC (2000-05) :: 2003 - Tachometer Stopped Working / Reads Zero
Sons 03 accent tachometer stopped working. It now reads zero..... All other gauges fine as well as lights. Question is , is there a sensor that controls it that may be bad??

I have a 2010 Accent GLS with 96,000 miles. Up to now I have only needed to do regular maintenance (which I do myself usually ) and had no major issues other than the sway bar drop link problem which I found the solution to on this forum. And self destructing spark plugs (on 3 separate occasions).
The other day while driving, the car surged once like it was running out of fuel. Then the tachometer stopped functioning. And if I floored the accelerator to cause a downshift I would lose power and the car would surge until I let up on the accelerator and the car would up shift. The CEL came on and I had the code read. It was P0339. So I replace the crankshaft sensor and everything went back to normal and the CEL went off. Until 2 days later...
Today the CEL came back on. I had no issues while driving as far as I could tell. I had the code read again and it came up as P0336, P0300, P0302, and P0303. The odd thing is I have no starting or running issues. So I'm really not sure what is going on here.
Golf V R32 :: Coolant Was Low Recently
I don't have G12++ yet because I've never had an issue with cooling before but I just noticed that my coolant was low recently. I'm in SoCal where it's been 100+ degrees more than I can remember in recent history...or it at least feels that way.
I'm going to top mine off, take it in to my tech this weekend and have the tensioner and a few other things replaced at the same time but just wondering if it's been an issue or if I should be on the lookout for something else that could be wrong.
Think it's safe to drive after I top it off or should I call a flatbed?
Ford - Taurus :: 2005 - Tachometer Won't Working
2005 Taurus. 82K miles, 3L, 6cyl, OHV engine, auto transmission. Occasionally the tachometer goes crazy. When this happens, it seems like the car loses some power. The reading on the tach is definitely incorrect when this happens (needle all over the place). Replacing something called the "speed sensor" ??? Couldn't find anything else that this problem may point to ??

We have an intermittent (now more regular) issue on our 2005 SF of the instrument cluster (tachometer, speedometer, gas gauge, temp gauge) sitting at zero - no motion whatsoever. In the summer months, the gauges came on after a while of AC being on, which I thought odd. But it just happened here in October (and the temp is just around 5C/41F) so a temp issue is unlikely. No OBD codes that we know of, all the fuses are fine, and while we did have a PCSV issue earlier this year, it did not seem to affect this particular issue with the gauges.
Threads such as the one below seem to say that it is the speedometer that is wacky... 01 Santa Fe Speedometer Not Working! , and the general solution to the problem/issue is to replace the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) and associated gear mechanism. And on a different thread, Input Output Speed Sensors , it was suggested that the problem could be addressed by changing the input and output sensors.
Passat (B5) :: 1998 - RPM / Temp Gauge / Tachometer Won't Working In Cluster?
I just Put an 98 1.8 T engine into a 2000 2.8 passat , Everything is working fine , But The Tachometer , The Rpm And The temperature Gauges in the cluster are not working ... The Fuel Gauge also Beep and indicate low fuel when i'm turning ... Actually , the car has the V6 Cluster , i switch those and it make no difference ....
All the wires are hooked up in the ecm compartement , each wire with good color ...
Is someone has both wiring diagram of ecm compartment plug ?? 2000 v6 and 98 1.8T
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: CEL Recently Came On Throwing PO420 Code
I own a 2003 VW Jetta GLS 2.0L 4 Cylinder and my CEL recently came on throwing the PO420 code (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)). So I replaced both the upstream and downstream O2 sensors. Well just one day after replacing the sensors the CEL came back on with the same code. I was wondering weather or not I should replace the whole catalytic converter or if there was anything else I should try. The car runs fine, exactly how it did when I bought it.

I have an 06 f250 6.0. When I bought it a few weeks ago I turn the key on and let the glow plugs warm up and start the truck it would start easily. Now it seems like it's taking longer to start . The temperature are between 50 and 80 degrees. I changed the fuel filters and it's still taking to long to start.
2nd I noticed today that when my truck is at idle the Tachometer is at 0 and when I'm driving 60-70 MPh it goes up to 900 or maybe 1200. It seems to be running fine no loss of power that I can tell. What could be causing the long crank time and my Tachometer problems.
the glow plugs and injectors are new I don't remember the brand and the fuel filters are brand new Motorcraft.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: Check Engine Light Recently Came On And Code Is PO1128
I have a 2000 jetta 1.8t. Check engine light recently came on and the code is a PO1128. I replaced the maf sensor and that did nothing but make the car run worse. I've check for vacuum leaks and found a busted line at the egr valve, fixed the line, reset the code only to have the check engine light come back on with the same code. I am at a loss now.

08 R32. Having problems with their A/C. It was working one week an not the next. There is no sign of any leaks or any damage to any hoses or the compressor. There is power to compressor but doesn't seem as if the clutch is engaging.

My kessy key fob stopped transmitting . no more keyless entry or keyless starting. Buttons still work and i can start the car by holding the key fob on the steering column. I used my vag com to check key fob signal and there is none. Its the key fob because my wifes key fob is still transmitting and i can read a signal on it. Its annoying driving around with the key not in range message popping up all the time. This is why you can drive the car without a key fob in it. I know people were complaining about that but it makes since know if your key fob stops transmitting so you don't get stranded. Any ways a trip to the dealer and a hour and half for them to figure out what i told them, they ordered me a new key fob.not sure why they wouldn't stock a key fob but now i have to go back when it comes in for them to reprogram it. Good thing im still under warranty. I am scared how much this will cost when not in warrenty. Having regrets about the kessy system now.

I hit my panic button to located car at school and I hit it again nothing turned off alarm kept going off then I hit unlock button horn sound went away but my hazards were still flashing. As I hit it again it was a delayed reaction and finally my hazards went off the buttons ony remote were a bit delayed to work after all that my fogs stopped working bought a new relay and checked all fuses still not turning on also hooked it up to VAG and it was reading the lights

Two weeks ago my airbag light came on and I got an airbag fault message. A week later the MFD controls on the steering wheel and the DSG paddles just stopped working. I had searched around and found that some people had issues with the clock spring. I brought the car to the dealership and they mentioned that maybe it was the clock spring, but after checking everything out they told me that the horn buttons needed to be replaced and that they were causing the issue. I have a hard time believing that this is the issue because the airbag fault popped up a week before the MFD controls and DSG paddles stopped working.

This morning I started my car and all was well, all gauges working. Drove 2 miles and stopped to get gas. Put some gas in my car and started it back up. My gas gauge never went up. Stayed slammed down to the E. All my other gauges were working normally except the gas. My gas light was not on saying I was on E, and I don't have a CEL.

A couple months ago my Key Fob stopped working. I tried using the button and then tried to use the key to unlock the door. I'm trying to figure out if there is a possibility that the immobilizer in my fob is junk or maybe its something as easy as changing the battery (which is another issue in itself because I cant open the fob for the life of me) Once again just curious if there is something I can do to fix this issue without contacting and dealing with the dealership. Would like to be able to lock my car again at some point.
