So I was pulling out of the parking lot at work in first gear going about 10mph when I heard a loud clang and lost power to the wheels, I just had the car towed home and its dark out so i haven't gotten a chance to really take a good look.
My question is, how did this happen? the car is lowered on coils. I also Installed a B&M short shiftier about 3 weeks ago, i doubt it but could that have anything to do with this?
Golf VI R :: Can't Turn On Just The Parking Lights
So the switch is pretty basic, only on or off! ahha. Is there some other way to just have everything but the headlights running? aka parking lights?

I just did the tail light with fog and I am trying to get the city lights to work, I did the whole pin 3 on the euro switch to pin 19 on the black connector and it hasn't worked, i got the rear fog to work without using VCDS, but when i try to get my parking lights, they flicker and then shut off. I saw a guide for tapping into the side markers, but I am sure there's a more legitimate way, at least I hope.

I recently bought a used '07 vw rabbit, and today when I tried to use my parking lights, I could not find any way to turn them on. I called the dealer later, and was told the rabbit does not have "parking lights". What should I use when I want to pull off the roadway briefly, etc. and why did they not put parking lights on this car? Is this a new trend?

Its a 2000 jetta. Turn signals and brake lights all work fine. The parking lights don't work the bulbs seemed a little burned but filaments are fine. I tried replacing with bulbs from autozone and they had the sylvania 1156 so I tried that and came home and they did not work. So I go onto the autozone web site and it says to use the 1156A. Would that really matter? I couldn't find anything else. I did some searching and found some stuff saying my light switch could cause this. is that a common thing? How can I check this? I am fairly new to the MKVIs as i switched over from a b3.

Air conditioner was acting weird. (It doesn't blow cold air when the car stops at the lights or in the parking lots. But it works great while driving). Then I went to dealer. And they scan my computer. And they said we need to change Aux Fan control unit and also one of the fan .I ordered OEM Aux Fan Control Unit . And I installed it. I connected Vagcom and cleared the Fault code but It still acts same. I checked the fans. They both works fine to me. They run 10 seconds and stops. So I didn't get this part. How the heck this AC works fine while I am driving but it doesn't work when I stop ?

Installed the euroswitch yesterday because I want the parking lights to work in the front. All the lights work except for the front parking! In the second click I have the rear but no front. Am I missing something or do I have a bad euroswitch?

So I just picked up an R32 and it has a euro switch and euro projector headlights but I've noticed that my parking lights, city lights, and front fogs are all inoperative. Leaving parking lights on. How long will it take to drain the battery enought that you cant start the car? Is there any type of auto-shut off in there?
Here is why I am asking:
It recently snowed up here in NY and I park on the street. I was thinking about leaving my parking lights on overnight so nobody (namely a plow) mistook my car for a snow drift. For those who dont know, the parking lights are left on by simply turning on the headlights and removing the key.
Golf IV / Jetta IV :: When Speed Up Or Slow Down, ABS / TC And Parking Brake Lights Turn On With Beep
Every time I speed up or slow down my ABS, TC and parking brake lights turn on and my car beeps at me. I'm assuming that I have a wheel speed sensor going out. But when I check the codes there is nothing and the check engine light never turns on, so how do you tell which one to replace? Or is my problem something different? I drive a 1999.5 vr6 Jetta.

1998 Passat 1.8t B5 sedan. OEM fog lights up front. No rear fog lights.
I recently upgraded to a "Euro" light switch to get more flexibility with my lights. Put tape on the TFL pin to disable DRLs in OFF Mode. Put tape on the 56d pin to disable DRLs in CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights) mode. Completely successful -- no DRLs, just as taping the TFL pin on the original light switch accomplished long ago.
BEFORE I did any taping this time, I installed the Euro switch AS IS and tested all of its modes and physical positions:
(1) OFF: No fog light position available (switch knob will not pull out). As expected and okay.
(2) FULL ON Fog lights come on (but who the hell can see them?!?) when switch knob is pulled out one stop into the fog light position -- and the little front fog symbol on the switch lights up. Again, expected and just fine.
(3) CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights): The fog lights position is physically available by pulling the switch knob out one stop... BUT THE PARKING LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON (regardless of ignition switch position, emergency hand brake position, etc., etc.) And the little fog light symbol on the switch does not light up. (Not surprisingly, pulling the knob further out to the REAR fog light position does nothing either.)
THIS IS NOT GOOD - since with a Euroswitch one ought to be able to manually select and de-select the fog lights while in CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights) mode!
How to make my FRONT FOG LIGHTS available in Euroswitch CITY LIGHTS (Parking Lights) mode...?

Is there a way to disable the auto 4 wheel drive on a 98 Explorer for testing purposes? I believe there is a module but can't remember where it's located and I don't know if it can be temporarily disabled.

I have a 02 golf and it runs great other then the reoccurring problem i have been experiencing. The problem doesn't happen every time i drive my car, but often. When i drive for a short period of time and i park and go to turn the car off, all the lights on the dash flash on and off, and most of my things restart. Some times i will stop at a stop light or sign and the car will just restart and turn off. I know this maybe something very small.

I have a 2001 Excursion, 6.8 V10, with the factory fog lights.
The fog lights worked fine, until a few days ago until they suddenly stopped working when just the parking lights are on.
I can still pull out the switch, the indicator light does not come on but the parking lights still work. When I turn it to the headlight position with the switch pulled out everything comes on and works like it should.
I tried checking the fuses but I didn't see one labeled in the manual for the fog lights so I don't know for sure which one to check. Could I possibly have a bad switch?

LS460 L ... Re-wiring fog lights to come on with only parking lights? How did you do it. Do fog lights also stay on now with brights?
