Prius (2010-12) :: Orange Warning Triangle?
I am lucky my SO (more on that in FHOP) had the diagnostic tool to see why my Prius woke up with a headache as I was starting my day. Displaying the orange triangle, telling me to park and then telling me to shift to park... Yet I parked her in the garage the night before. I should have had a pen at the ready as I did not get the three codes that came up (they are stored on my SO's work computer now). Two were about some miscommunication - one having to do with navigation; the third was a malfunction with the USB port... I have had a few issues with connecting my iPad to the USB port.
I am getting close to 10K as well. Very fortunate to have a Prius doc in my world!
GTI 337/20th Anniversary :: Stumbling Idle And Bluish Discoloration On Top Of Coilpacks
While starting up the 337 this morning, I received a stumbling idle from the engine. I popped the hood and noticed that there was a bit of bluish / purplish discoloration on the tops of the coilpacks. Gonna replace the packs and plugs today, just wanted to know if there was anything else I should check for.
Also, this wouldn't be related to the death of the driver's side door lock module would it? (I noticed that when i opened the door, the light and the fuel pump didn't prime....)
Prius (2010-12) :: Orange Check Engine Light Came On
I have a 2010 gen 111 with nav system etc, the other day a orange check engine light came on, I took it to our Toyota Dealer and they said that I had mud and gravel up in the car, near the fuel intake area, and that the carbon capture canister/switch was damaged by the dirt and I need to get it replaced. I asked if I could simply not make the repair due to the fact that the electronics system would eventually not be able to read the H Carbon readings and the car would burn more fuel.

I have had my new 450h for almost 7 months and do love this car. I took it in for its 6 month service, although apparently needn't have done so because we only have 1300 miles on it thus far. However, it checked out fine. Today whilst driving home from the local supermarket and we got a warning on the dashboard with the orange triangle saying to check BSM system. I had not done anything and am concerned why this should happen suddenly. I have called and will have to take the car to be checked. What happened?

I had a triangle with an exclamation point (not red), a check hybrid system message, and an airbag indicator come on in my car in February. I thought the triangle with the exclamation point was originally yellow but my eyes could be playing tricks on me. It now appears orange.
In February, the dealership told me that some kind of rodent apparently chewed through wiring containing the airbag tether and hybrid system wires. I was told this is a 3K+ repair and was advised to make a claim against my insurance. I am working away from home until June, so I was going to wait until I go home to have my preferred dealership handle the repairs.
Does driving solely on the gas system harm the Prius? Does the car have both yellow and orange triangles with exclamation point warning indicators? By driving the car in the condition it is in, am I harming it and is the possible change in color of the indicator a sign of a worsening problem?
Prius (2010-12) :: Reverse Polarity Jump Start - Power Button Blinks Orange Never Goes Green
THE PROBLEM: Our Prius 12V aux battery died after my wife left the light on inside the car and instead of buying a new battery, we decided to try jump starting it. My wife tried jump starting our Prius with the neighbors pickup truck and even though I wasn't physically there to witness it, I'm pretty sure that the polarity got swapped during the process. It wouldn't start afterwards, so we went out and bought a brand new 12V aux battery. The prius still will not start. No electric components seem to work (door locks, back brake lights, windows, radio don't work). The dash only shows the orange exclamation mark and the check engine light, nothing else. The power button blinks orange, never goes green.
TROUBLESHOOTING that I've tried:
1. Checked the big 120A fuse right on the positive + terminal. Visibly looked good.
2. Checked all the fuses by the drivers left knee. All tested good with resistance + visible checks.
3. Checked all the fuses in the fusebox under the hood. All tested good EXCEPT the big relay integration fuse under the white plastic cover. It was definitely blown.
4. Replaced the relay integration, still no luck, same exact symptoms.
5. Tried force starting the car in emergency mode by holding the brake and power button down for 15+ secs. The engine starts, but the dash is still dead showing just the check engine light and orange exclamation mark. Can not shift gears or drive.
6. Tried slow charging the NEW battery to get the voltage higher, still no luck. It's testing about 13V with everything off.
Camry :: Leaking Coolant, Sealant In Between Transmission Halves
2003 camry le 4cyl 197,000 miles and is butter smooth. Leaking coolant somewhere. Not hoses, not water pump. I dont see anything or smell coolant. I looked under and see three bright red drops of oil on my trans. I jack it up and clean it. Appears the sealant in between the two transmission halves is weeping. Used to be an off yellow color now red and three drops of oil along seam.

Recently made a change in the engine head because in broke the timing belt and had to do valves etc., the car was without power(battery disconnected almost a month), now when it start, a light(symbol orange)comes in the cluster and the engine shuts off, what is causing this problem.

I'm about 90% sure this is the cause of my nuisance leak on my 93 Aero. Upon inspection, I see tiny cracks (some near 1mm wide, most less) longitudinally down the factory seams (gutters) in the roof. I've had a small leak which manifests itself right above the drivers rear cubby hole (jack within).
Unless I hear otherwise, plan to buy a caulking tube of Butyl rubber sealant from NAPA and run beads the full length of the roof in each corner of those seams. Of course, prepped first for adhesion. I need another 100K out of this Van!
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Roof Channel Sealant Cracking?
I was checking out a rust spot in the roof and upon closer inspection also saw that the sealant in the channels is cracked on the edges. Can't tell if there is rust in there too or just dirt.

I had the brakes on my 2004 Prius replaced. Recently the red Brake light and the orange ABS Brake lights come on some of the time - but not all of the time. I took the car in to my local repair shop. They said it would cost $300 to diagnose the problem.

so I have a 2010 Camry and I'm 99% certain the rear defroster doesn't work. I came from a 2000 Camry where, upon pressing the rear defrost button, the rear window would clear up within like 5 minutes (literally-- that thing was fast), but my 2010 Camry doesn't do that.
I drove for about 15 minutes last night and saw no change whatsoever. The orange LED lights up when I press the button (and stays lit) for the rear defroster, but I'm not seeing any results.
Is there a fuse I should check? the orange LED comes on and stays on when I press that button, but I'm pretty sure nothing's happening. This is the only problem thing I've ever noticed that's wrong with my car.
Prius (Gen 2) :: Power Button LED Becomes Orange After Letting Idle
After letting the car sit unused for about 4 days I now find my power button LED is orange not green as always. The display showed the main battery down to two purple bars but after a short drive its returned to normal.
The 12 volt battery is at 12.9 volts and everything else seems normal.

Last night was cold, when I started the car this morning, the orange snowflake light is on. What does it mean? If I still drive, whether will harm the car? how I can remove it?

I started my Touareg this morning in 20 degree weather and let it warm up. When I came back to drive away, I noticed on the center dash display an orange colored warning showing the 4 wheels, and also the selector for the 4 wheel drive selector knob was flashing. It drove fine. I parked it and turned the car off and removed the key and opened and closed the door. Then I opened and closed the door again and restarted it, and everything was fine--no warning sign and no flashing.

I'm kind of worried about the coolant in my 03 2.8 passat. it is a pinkish/orangish color, but im worried they topped it off with dexcool at the dealer. is it okay to mix g12 and dexcool or am i looking at a gelled up mess?
With that note, can you run g12+? or do you recommend to stick with the oem g12?
