Ford - Explorer :: 2007 - Traction Control Light Flashing And Engine Will Lose All Power
2007 Explorer Limited . The traction control light will start flashing and the engine will lose all power, it slows to 30-40 mph, then goes again and the light goes out. This is intermittent and seems to happen the most when the engine is cold. This morning it wouldn't go over 20 mph and finally warmed up and went well enough to get it home. There is no check engine light or codes saved. This is my wife's driver, and it completely stopped one day and threw a check engine light. She turned it off and restarted and the light went away and the car would go again. I've read Ford had bad throttle bodies, (TPS)...

So My traction control light went on the other morning as I was leaving the garage . I pushed the button on the console and nothing happened. I shut the Tig off and restarted it. Nothing , light was still on . Since this was 6am . I drove it to coffee and drove it home thinking it would reset . No luck .
Waited till my local dealer opened and went over and asked the service advisor if he knew anything about this ? He took it for a spin around the lot and said everything looked and felt ok and said it would reset itself sometime if I drove it a bit. He gave me back the Tig and sent me on my way ... This was a Saturday morning.
So , I drove it for a day or two and nothing and the light was still on and my 4motion felt like it was not working right. Weather was Icy and I did not want my better half driving the Tig with this problem .
I took the Tig to the dealer on Thursday morning and told them I was here the other day etc. etc. They called me later in the day and said a plug-in electrical connector under the car did not have a plug in the open part of the connector and to pick it up and bring it back on Friday when the parts come in.
Now they just called and said it was the rear end and VW NA tech line was walking them through things and they need my car over night to diagnose it further.. So after all this it goes from a stuck light reset to a plug-in connector to a rear end ....

View 1 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Traction Control And ABS Light Stays On When Car Started
I don't know why but my traction control and abs lights stays on when I start my car if i turn it off and restart it 3 or 4 times they go away sometimes. Sometimes they will go off and comeback! what does this mean! I had my car jacked up the other day when i changed my oil i don't know if i could have pulled a ire or something from jacking it up on an angle one side at a time. I change my oil the same way every time so i never have a problem.
Also the traction control will turn off and not the ABS light after a restart, I can turn it on and off when i do a restart and it goes off, but when i start my car, and its stuck on i cannot turn it on and off! Is it bad to drive the car? If a break sensor on my wheel was replaced and then was disconnected would it trigger the ABS light? I had the sensor that goes down to my wheel replaced and it may have loosened up... but what else could cause this?
Camry :: 2002 - Traction Control Off Light Stays On
Son was driving his car today and the roads were patchy ice leaving the addition. As he went around a turn the car started to slip and traction control kicked in. Right after that the trac off light came on and won't go off. Tried recycling the trac switch on and off to no avail. Tried to check the fuse but can't find where it is located.

View 3 RepliesFord - Explorer :: 1996 - Airbag Light Is Flashing A 5 2 Pattern And Then Stays On Continuously
I pulled the wrong fuse, and now my air bag light is flashing a 5 2 pattern, and then stays on continuously.
it's a 96 OBD II - so I don't think I can do the "short the 2 pin gray connector" trick, or can I?
I pulled the right kick plate, and see the AIR BAG module, etc the fuel inheria switch mounted on the firewall, but no sign of that 2 prong plug....
so, how does one reset or clear this 52 code - I know that it was a result of me pulling that fuse, as the light was perfect before, and no issues.
I googled this topic, and still can't seemed to find this... will I need to take it to a dealer to have them flash the Air Bag Code?

View 1 RepliesFord - Explorer :: ABS / Traction Control And 4wd Light Intermittently Flashing - B1155 And B1145 Codes
I have a 2005 explorer, eddie bauer (120k), which i really love driving. Recently, i have lights coming on in my dash: ABS, traction control and the 4wd light intermittently flashing. I went to Advance auto parts and they were able to read the codes, a B1155 - speed wheel sensor LF input circuit failure and a B1145 - speed wheel sensor RF input circuit failure. I have replaced both wheel bearing hubs (with the speed sensors) about 6 monthe ago. the connectors leading to the speed sensors are both showing 12v at the plug. Is the problem both my sensors have gone bad? Is there any way to test these sensors. I need to get this fixed quickly since i am due for an emission test very soon and it will not pass if any dash lights are on.
View 6 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Traction Control And ABS Light Coming On And Off?
I read a thread about this a long time ago and after searching for a bit I couldn't seem to find the info I needed. I am having my traction and abs light come on and off occasionally and I think it's due to the sensor up front? I read that often times when suspension is installed, the sensor gets damaged and causes this issue, is this correct? Can I mend the current sensor or does it have to be replaced? what part is the actual piece that needs replaced?
View 5 RepliesSonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Traction Control Light Coming On
In the past two weeks my traction control light came on and stayed on until i turned the car off. This happened randomly about four times. Setup an appointment through BlueLink. The dealership says that since the wheel speed sensors are wireless that something interfered with the signal to the computer. If it happens again they will replace the two passenger wheel speed sensors.
View 9 RepliesBuick - Lesabre :: ABS Light Was Coming On And Off Now Stays On All The Time
I have a 93 Buick Lesabre and the ABS light was coming on and off for about three weeks. Now it stays on all the time. Just recently I had the brakes completely lock up on me. In my car you have to apply pressure to the brakes to even get the car to shift into gear. The car will drive for about a mile and then all of a sudden the brake pedal is completely hard and the car will not roll forward. It does it completely fine in reverse. My calipers are good and there is no sound of them locking up. The pads are in good condition. Then after this happened to me twice in a two mile drive, struggling to get it home... now a light in the dash flashes SECURITY. It is strange and I know my brakes are in good condition and there is no abnormal wear and tear.

View 4 RepliesGolf IV R32 :: Traction Control Light Coming On When Accelerate While Turning
I just replaced the steering rack today, things i noticed on the drive home:
I get the traction control light (i know its called something else, cant think of it) when i accelerate while turning. it'll cut the power to the throttle for a few seconds/ until i slow down or stop turning.
The light also comes on when i brake slightly hard. I am not anywhere close to locking up the brakes so i know its not the ABS. Whats going on?
Ford - Explorer :: 2007 - ABS / Traction Control And Wrench Lights All Come On
A few days ago my wife's 07' explorer 4.0L, 4wd, 72k miles, had the abs light, traction control light, and a wrench light all come on. By the the time I got to look at it, they were off. Now 3 days later, they have all come back on. To me it seems like a electrical issue or maybe a sensor or something but I wanted to get your thoughts on where to start looking.
