Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: 2006 F350 Not Starting - Code P2285 - Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low
I have a 2006 f-350 6.0 and i went to fill up my truck with diesel. After that the truck did not start. Currently has the code p2285 - injector control pressure sensor circuit low. I tried disconnecting sensor, still no start.
I have the torque pro app and another 6.0 that I use for comparison. Check power at ficm 48 volt, flp 11.5v, FVP 11.5v. Hpop while cranking shows 1400 psi. removed oil filter and see low pressure oil ok, fills up reservoir. ipr at crank about 65%. fuel filter full of fuel.
Replaced the dummy plug on passenger side because originally hpop was very low psi 12. after replacement it went up to 1400 on cranking. What should I be looking at next, should I be removing ipr? should i be looking at crank sensor or cam sensor? Just installed 2 new batteries also because my dad kept cranking the truck until it died.
Checked to make sure fuel cut off relay not triggered, Ok. The truck has been having long cranks before it died. Also right now the injector cycling is 10 seconds long while on my other 6.0 it is about 4.

I bought my truck 2 month ago. I use it for commuting, only short trips now ( 10 min ). After about 2 weeks the Check Engine light came on. The truck is running fine, no problems I believe, starts easy. After another 2 weeks, the CEL disappeared. Another week, and the CEL came back on and it`s there since. I have a code reader, these are the codes and meanings according the manual:
P0299 - Turbocharger "A" underboost condition
P2286 - Injector control pressure sensor circuit high
P2287 - Injector control pressure sensor circuit intermittent
P0299 Pending - same as first but with "pending" status
This is my first diesel and my first turbo charged engine. Is this a common problem? How serious? It`s a bit strange that the error came up before but disappeared. Can that happen just because of the short trips I`m making? I`m planning a long trip soon with towing my trailer, so I want to make sure the truck will not break down during the ride.

I just did a bunch of work on my 6.0. Here's a list- head gaskets, arp studs, new heads, 2 new injectors, updated stand pipes and dummy plugs, water pump, and all new injector o-rings. After messing around with a bent pushrod, cylinder 5 code and and replacing injectors the truck runs excellent. After driving it a bit I get a code "P2290 injector control pressure too low". The truck runs great with no low power, stalls, or hard start cold or hot. I do puff black smoke but that's because of the sct tuner on performance tune.

So yet another crank no start. Truck is an 03 55k miles The guy I bought the truck off of told me the turbo had been reconditioned about 1000 miles ago. Drove the truck another 1000 miles or so and now having issues. I went to start truck up and noticed it took awhile longer than normal to start up and when it did finally kick over, truck and no power at all. Would idle a bit rough sounded like no turbo spool at all when given throttle. Shut the truck off right and hooked up scangauge to it went to start it and nothing.
Did throw p2285 code ICP low circuit
Values read on scangauge are as follows:
FICM Main Power 48.0V
FICM Logic Power 10-8V
FICM sync is good
ICP Pressure 1540psi on crank
IPR duty cycle 14.8% Key on engine off/48.8% while cranking
At a bit of a loss as to where to look next, would really like to troubleshoot down to the right fix instead of just throwing parts at it. Have read after sitting the turbos tend to stick and need cleaned or replaced. After being cleaned only a few thousand miles could it be stuck again? Seems like I have spark, fuel, oil just acts like its not getting any air.
Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Engine Missing - Code P2077 - Cylinder 6 Injector Circuit High
I have for a week suspected my batteries were getting weak. just slower cranking is all. I took my truck in to have a viper security system installed and while he was doing his work he killed the batteries. I saw him hook up a battery charger and started the truck. He pulled it around to me and explained how the system worked and off i went. 5 miles down the road, on the thruway, I notice a miss and I'm down on power. FICM looked ok, 48V and it was charging, 13.8 I thought I would bring it to my shop and load test the batteries. On my way here, the check engine light comes on. At the shop, load tested them and they were weak. Installed 2 brand new batteries, started it up, no difference. Hooked up the scanner and pulled a code P2077 (cylinder 6 injector circuit high) Now what? I'm not sure where to go from here. I'm guessing either the FICM went bad or the #6 injector?

2004 Excursion 6.0L .... Recently after a 200 mile trip through the mountains running good, I get home and the next day it idles down the driveway at a high idle and after a few minutes seems to run better but within 5 miles the CEL comes on and throws P2287 - intermittent injection pressure control circuit. I cleared the code, ran around town again and the light came on again same code. I'm getting appropriate ICP-voltage and pressure readings. I took it home sat overnight and thought I would pull the ICP sensor.
I replaced the ICP sensor less than 6 months/5,000 miles ago. I also changed out the main engine harness at the same time. I looked at ICP sensor and it looks clean. Started the truck and tried the scientific wiggle test while running and monitoring ICP-voltage. Started at the sensor bending and wiggling back to FICM. No fluctuation in voltage. Ran the truck around town, 20 miles and no light. Yesterday we made the same 200 mile trip over the mountains, seemed to run strong. In town this morning within 5 miles the CEL is back on and the only code is P2287.
My Ford powertrain diagnostics manual doesn't have the P2287 code in it for troubleshooting. Should I go after the FICM, and how do U test that if so? I'm currently that 200 mile drive from home and don't want to damage anything more.

Where is the ICP sensor located?? I am getting code P2285 and according a to a Ford Message this may be because of a bad connection that there is a kit to fix it.

Have a 2004 F350 which had problems starting cold and once started had bad throttle response until warm. It also had a shudder at cruising speed when going up a slight incline, would shudder until turbo kicked in.
Pulled codes which related to FICM and codes for all 8 injectors. 7 injector codes were circuit low, cylinder 1 high. Tested FICM voltage and sent FICM out for repair.
Installed rebuilt FICM, cleared codes, and hard start went away, but cruising shudder is still present.
Only existing code is P0262 for cylinder 1 injector circuit high. I'm assuming that cylinder 1 injector is bad -- are there any tests to confirm before I take it apart to replace it?
Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Codes P2285 And P2287 - ICP Circuit Low And Intermittent
The other day my 07 power troke threw codes p2285 and p2287- ICP circuit low and ICP circuit intermittent. The trucks idle was revving up or bouncing around every so often, not consistently.
I did a visual inspection of both the sensor and pigtail checking for oil but it looks to me like everything is clean and oil free (see pictures). When I unplugged the connector the trucks idol smoothed out and everything ran great!
My questions is what does this indicate? Does this mean my ICP sensor is bad, my pigtail is bad, or there is a short in the harness somewhere?
Ford Super Duty (1999-2016) :: Check Engine Light Code For Injector Control Pressure Low
Traveling cross country & got a check engine light telling me "injector control pressure low". Replaced ICP sensor and injector pressure control regulator. Removed old one and installed the new one.
While looking for one of the nuts that attach the glow plug relay in the valley I found a small round part looks like maybe a valve seat. About 1/2" round with maybe a 1/4" four flute spline in the center. Has an o-ring on one end.
Is this something that followed the old ICPR out and fell off the end when It cleared the mounting hole? It looks like the ICPR would bear against this little thing.
Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Codes For Exhaust Pressure Circuit Valve / Intake Air Heater Control Circuit
I have an emissions test coming up. I have 3 P codes that I'd like to eliminate before then. I don't want to "fix" the issues they are telling me about. Just make the codes go away. I know why they're there I just need to get rid of them.
What I have coming up is:
P0475 Exhaust Pressure Circuit Valve (result of EBPV delete)
P0541 Intake air heater A circuit low (result of aih delete)
P0640 Intake air heater control circuit (also result of aih delete)
What resistors I'll need and where to put them in?
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2015 - Code P0073 For Ambient Air Temp Sensor Circuit High
I'm excited to be a Powerstroke owner again! I had a 2000 with the 7.3L and since bought and now sold a Chevy 1500. Last week I bought a new 2015 6.7L. I am MORE than impressed and love the truck. Today I brought it to get the windows tinted. I have not had one issue with the truck since I have had it. When they finished with the windows, my check engine light was on. The shop I had it done it EXTREMELY reputable. They brought out their snap on scanner and pulled the code. p0073 for the ambient air temp sensor circuit high. Is this a coincidence that this came on after they got done, or could something they did while tinting the windows tripped this?
As I drove off down the road after determining I wasn't going to hurt the truck, the air temp sensor went from showing -40 to the actual temperature. What would cause this? I deleted the code when I got home with my actron, and the MIL has stayed off since, however, it shows P0073 Permanent ...
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: CEL On For Code P20BA - Reductant Heater A Control Circuit Performance
Okay, so I have a 14' 6.7L, about 18,438 miles on it and the check engine light came on when I was at the gas station ready to leave, and so I took a field trip to auto zone and they scanned the CEL and it came back as P20BA - Reductant Heater 'A' Control Circuit Performance and they said I need to change out the pump assembly so I took it to the dealership and they cleared the code which worked for awhile, about 4 months ago the light came back on and I'm wonder if I should get the pump/heater changed out or get it deleted? The warranty is going to end in august this year..... It's been fine no issues with the truck, even tho I drive with the CEL on and just wondering what I should do? The CEL has been on for almost 5 months.

So I was have a problem the other day with code p2285 did some more checking and found an hpo system leak. Bad injector o ring. I have fixed that. But now when I got it all put back together and went to start it up now have no crank at all, the wrench light is coming on, when I hook up my scangauge it will not connect (so I can't get any readings or codes) I have checked all the fuses that have to do the the ignition system.
They all seem fine. I can get it to crank if I jump the starter wire to the battery. I really need to get this figured out my mini Cooper is waiting for a new clutch to get here and with my truck down I can't get to my job sites next week. I don't know of its just a coincidence or not but while trying to get he truck to start my batteries got drained so got them charged and one was bad (it's less then a year old).

So my 04 f350 was running fine good power and everything till I shut it off a couple days ago and now when it is cold it fires right up but when the truck warms up it just cranks and cranks .... only code I throwing is p2285

Wife just pulled in said your trucks running rough. Right out the gate went out Checked ICPV its at 0 KOEO... Noticed a CEL P2285...
ICPV seams to be Jumping all around at Idle...
it stutters and smooth's out some I believe its going into default mode...
its acting different then last time the ICP went south thinking a wire is shorted or that's my guess ...
is it just me or do Vehicles seem to break down more when its Cold...
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Check Engine Light Came On / Code P0181 Fuel Temp Sensor
Just over 6000 miles....Yesterday morning the light came on. Dealer wouldn't look at it for a week. Went to my mechanic this morning to check the code it was p0181 fuel temp sensor. I read something online about the block heater making it too warm. The other night it was cold so I plugged it in, then yesterday morning it got warm overnight like into the lower 40s. I noticed the grill felt warm too. My mechanic cleared it if it comes back on do I have an issue? Is it ok to drive?

I replaced the icp and the pigtail about a year or so ago what should I be looking at?my icp voltage is .22 volts with the koeoff. While trying to crank it I get no change in voltage. My ipr is at 14.8 and the ficim is at 47. Also when I unplug the sensor it still does nothing...
