Ford 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: 2000 - Error Code P0472 - Low Boost / 0 PSI EBP?
2000 truck, 334k, automatic 2wd, stock. Have low power, 11psi max.
Permanent p0472 code, can't clear it even temporarily. The moment I turn the key to Acc, code is there. It's the only code showing on Forscan.
Tried 470ohm 1/2watt resistor, in two turbo pedestal sensor connector wires, no change. Forscan shows 0.0-0.6 psi EBP value when running.
No change with pedestal sensor plugged or unplugged. Resistor or not. Truck starts and runs good, low power is the only issue.
Sensor and tube are new. Seems like wiring is bad, where to look next to track this down?
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2015 F550 - CEL Code Oxygen Sensor Performance Bank One Sensor One
The service truck threw a CEL, and i pulled oxygen sensor performance bank one sensor one code. That would be driver side sensor between the manifold and cat, rite? Don't want to change the wrong one...
View 11 RepliesFord 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Code P2201 For NOx Sensor
I have a little over 32k on my 2014. Left today for my first camping trip of 2017. 250 mile into the Eastern Sierras. Took a potty break after 125 miles or so and CEL came on. Used my CTS2 and got a P2201 code which is a NOx sensor. I decided to continue on to my destination and made it there safely.
My question is do you all think I will be ok driving 250 miles back home in a couple of days? Truck seems to run ok. MPG seems to be dropping.
Interestingly, the Soot % on my CTS2 dropped to 0% and stayed there the whole trip. Obviously it's going to the dealership come Monday, just wondering if I will make it home ok and not get stranded in the desert with the family.
Ford 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: Where Is ICP Sensor Located - Code P2285

View 14 RepliesFord 6.0L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2004 F350 Won't Start / CMP Sensor Code
2004 F350 Lariat 6.0 Crew Cab 6spd... I just bought this truck a month or so ago has been a great running truck since. Before I got it it had headgaskets done, egr valve replaced, and new injectors installed.
Yesterday I shut it off and was setting up my scangauge and doing few other things and noticed I ran the batteries down to 7 volts. So I unhooked them and charged them seperately and cleaned the posts. Now today it won't start. Voltage shows 12.3 FICM logic and main both show 12v and FICM shows 48.5 and doesn't lower when cranking. CMP/CKP shows its not syncing and I am throwing a cmp sensor code. Its had the code since I got it and I've cleared it but always comes back. I've read its rare for a cmp sensor to go bad so I'm wondering if it sounds more like the wiring just seems strange its first time it wouldn't start and hasn't had any other problems.
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2011 F250 - CEL Code P2479 For EGT Sensor
CEL came on today on my 2011 F-250 6.7 with 48K miles. It did not show a message or shut down. When I checked the code it was P2479 EGT Out of Range Bank 1 Sensor 2. I was reading about a letter last year, which I did not receive, concerning an extended warranty. My questions are: What is the part number? How are they identified and located in the exhaust system? I found a diagram stating: EGT 12, 14 ect? How does that correlate to Bank & Sensor?
View 13 RepliesFord 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: CEL Code U059E - Invalid Data Received From NOx Sensor A
Right around Christmas. Hubby used the code reader and found this:
U059E - Invalid Data Received from NOx Sensor A
And then cleared it. CEL went away and hasn't been back since, so my question is, am I safe? Was it a fluky reading on a cold day of making short errand runs? Or did I have an actual problem even though the CEL has not come back? Truck is running fine, no issues (knock on wood), and I'm not really worried - just curious more than anything.

View 2 RepliesFord 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: CEL On - Code P2043 - Reductant Temperature Sensor Range / Performance
My check engine light popped on for me a couple days ago. P2043-reductant temperature sensor range/performance. Truck still runs like a raped ape, no change in driveability. Just over 21k miles. No "speed limited to 55" messages or anything else. Basically no change in the truck other than the light.
View 12 RepliesFord 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: 2015 - Code P0073 For Ambient Air Temp Sensor Circuit High
I'm excited to be a Powerstroke owner again! I had a 2000 with the 7.3L and since bought and now sold a Chevy 1500. Last week I bought a new 2015 6.7L. I am MORE than impressed and love the truck. Today I brought it to get the windows tinted. I have not had one issue with the truck since I have had it. When they finished with the windows, my check engine light was on. The shop I had it done it EXTREMELY reputable. They brought out their snap on scanner and pulled the code. p0073 for the ambient air temp sensor circuit high. Is this a coincidence that this came on after they got done, or could something they did while tinting the windows tripped this?
As I drove off down the road after determining I wasn't going to hurt the truck, the air temp sensor went from showing -40 to the actual temperature. What would cause this? I deleted the code when I got home with my actron, and the MIL has stayed off since, however, it shows P0073 Permanent ...
Ford 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel :: Check Engine Light Came On / Code P0181 Fuel Temp Sensor
Just over 6000 miles....Yesterday morning the light came on. Dealer wouldn't look at it for a week. Went to my mechanic this morning to check the code it was p0181 fuel temp sensor. I read something online about the block heater making it too warm. The other night it was cold so I plugged it in, then yesterday morning it got warm overnight like into the lower 40s. I noticed the grill felt warm too. My mechanic cleared it if it comes back on do I have an issue? Is it ok to drive?

Engine light came on yesterday and started missing on take offs. Giving code p2285 Injector Control Pressure Sensor Circuit Low. I've done the research and understand the problem. It's the weekend and shops closed until Monday. Is it safe to drive in the mean time? Is there any risk of doing damage? What's the risk of it quitting or failing start in the short term, today?
View 2 RepliesFord 7.3L Power Stroke (1999-2003) :: Power Loss Throwing P0472?
I just recently bought a 199 E350 4x4. I changed the injectors and it drove a little bit better but was still lacking power and was throwing a p0472(exhaust back pressure code) and a p0113(IAT sensor circuit hight output) code. Last night i put a new ebp sensor and the truck came back to life for about a half mile or so then went right back to the way it was. I took the sensor back off and cleaned it in case it some how got clogged from my short ride. It surprisingly did have some soot in it which i cleaned out. Also blew air into the ebps line while still mounted. Put everything back and still nothing. What could it be? Could i possibly got a bad ebps?

My truck had to be towed to the shop today. The wife and I were stranded for 2 hours and to say I was upset is a understatement. My truck has 13,800 miles and this type of failure is unacceptable. Is it necessary to carry extra sensors around in order to get your truck off the side of the road? BTW, my truck didn't even make it to the side of the road, we had to push it to a narrow shoulder on a busy side road.

I am award of the problem. And hope to be one of the majority that never has to deal with the issue. But, if the problem were to happen and the code thrown could it be as easy as to pull over. And if you had a code reader that could clear code.
Could you simply clear the code and be on your way? If so, how far would you get before the code reappeared and you had to repeat the read and clear the code again.
