Chrysler - Lebaron :: 1989 - Digital Overhead Console / Outside Temperature Is Always Way Off
I have an ' 89 Chrysler Lebaron coupe in very good condition. The car has an overhead console which is digital. It shows the compass and outside temperature. The compass works fine, but the outside temperature is always way off, normally about 30-40 degrees higher than it should be. I was told that the "thermometer" for that is located somewhere behind the grille. I am unable to locate it and am unaware of what it looks like. Auto part stores in my area don't seem to have a listing for this part. Most of these cars were convertibles, so only the higher end coupes had this option, I'm told.

2004 6.0 lariat ... The compass on my overhead console has gone dead or at least doesn't show anything other than sometimes calibrating ... All other functions miles to empty etc work fine just the compass feature ...

Wife just told me tonight that the overhead console and rear heater are not working in the excursion. Of course, we have a 3 hour drive tomorrow and it is cold outside.. I have an 03 F350 Lariat, the overhead console display quit working awhile back (about 18 months ago) and so far my only option is to buy a new one from Ford. I have looked online, on ebay, local wreckers and have come up with nothing. I have come close a few times but the wrecks didn't have a sunroof so the display is different. I searched and found ways to fix the resistors but mine do not seem to have the poor solder problem that some do. Where I can find a replacement display?

A while ago (1 yr) I read and did the pull the wire thing to keep the lie o meter bright all the time. It worked fine, but all of a sudden it seems dim. I can barely read it in the day time. At work weve got an 02 F250 Lariat CC, and the overhead console has gone out. I looked in the owner's manual, and there was no fuse listed for the overhead console. Is there anything that I can do to fix it, or should we just go out and buy a new one?

Like most older superduty trucks my overhead console doesn't work. I removed it and got the thing apart. Low and behold there were 4 of the resistors loose in the plastic housing. Looking for a diagram that shows the location of these so I can resolder them? My truck is an 04 lariat with sunroof which seems to be different than non sunroof trucks.
