Ford - Wagon - Escort :: 1993 - Loses Power When Trying To Accelerate While Moving At 60mph
This morning on my drive into work I discovered that when trying to accelerate while moving at ~60mph or more the car would shudder and experience a lack of any power at all. If I continued to press down on the accelerator the car would continue to shudder and it would get worse. It felt like an engine stall shudder but constant. If I was below 60mph are tried to accelerate I had no problem, I could continue to accelerate all the way to 70mph, then I would have to slow down for traffic. However after cruising above 60mph and then pressing down on the accelerator I would experience the shuddering. I experienced this issue suddenly with no gradually increasing issues at all.

1993 Ford Escort Wagon LX 1.9L SEF I64K miles
Recently replaced oil, about 2wks ago
Air Filter fine and unobstructed
Car has been getting about 36mpg
Exhaust was replaced about 1 month ago and is unobstructed.
Escort :: PCV Plastic Tube For 92 Lx Wagon 1.9L?
Was servicing my vehicle today and this tube snapped in half. Called ford, dont have it since its an 'obsolete' legacy part.
Tried 1aauto, rock auto, both dont have it.
Am I out of luck? is there an alternative? can I just use a rubber hose instead to connect the pcv valve to the other end part?
Escort :: 1994 Wagon - Low Fuel Light Comes On But Gauge Shows About 3/4 Tank
Here is my car info:

1994 Ford Escort LX (Wagon)
1.9L SEFI engine
Just installed a new timing belt, water pump, thermostat and serpentine belt (the car was running great)
Here is the exact sequence of events that caused the issue:

I was working on the car
I backed up on to wheel ramps so that I could check the exhaust
I noticed that the car was idling high, so I removed and lubed the IAC with WD-40
I put the IAC back in place with grey RTV and tightened it down ( It's not leaking at all )
Here are the exact symptoms:

I turn on the ignition switch
The fuel pump pumps and sounds normal
The Fuel gauge shows about 3/4 tank (which is accurate... I recently filled the tank)
The low fuel light comes on (which makes no sense to me)
When I turn the ignition to the start position, the car cranks and sounds normal, but it doesn't even attempt to run. When I crank the car the Low Fuel light goes off, but the Fuel Cutoff light comes on (only while cranking). I also notice a slight smell of gasoline, but I can't find any fuel leaking or dripping anywhere!
What I've tried:

Looking for fuel leaks ( can't find any). Made sure the IAC is properly connected.
Verified and tested the Inertia switch in the right rear of the car ( it is working properly and has not been tripped). When I trip it, the fuel pump does not run. When I reset it the fuel pump works properly again.
Disconnected the + battery cable for 5 minutes or more in an attempt to reset the ECU. It didn't work. Symptoms remain the same.

I have a 97 escort that was running great after a lot of maintenance work and then on the freeway it started to loose power. I pulled it over and it died. It would not restart for about 15 mins then it did. Ran really rough, mad some noises, I got it home and now it won't restart at all. It is not the battery or starter. Is it possible a bad EGR valve could cause it to do this? About a month before this happened I replaced all plugs and wires, coil, fuel filter, battery, oil change and O2 sensor.

I have a '97 Ford Escort. I drive over an enormous pothole. Immediately, I heard a dragging noise on the left side of my car. The noise only occurred if I went over terrain that caused the car to somewhat bounce up and down. I got out of the car. I discovered a metal bar hanging down near the left wheel. I then noticed another one hanging down near the right. The bars appear to be either ends of a long rod. These bars curve down away from that rod. One has a hole through the end. One has something like a nut or bolt on the end.

Suddenly, the horn on my '97 Volvo V90 (wagon - really a 960 wagon) stopped working. The mechanic checked out connections. The only thing he came up with was to get inside the column and see if a wire had come loose. Not only is that wildly expensive, but the air bag issue is a big deal. Finding a junk yard with a wheel, horn and column is impossible for this model. I have to pass inspection soon. Testing in and around the column? My car has lost power. The engine seems bogged down and it has a significant sputter when accelerating and acts like it wants to die when idle. I am getting error code P1131. AutoZone did not give me any info on the code. I have changed the plugs and wires. I have been told this might be o2 sensors but after reading other stuff here, it looks like maybe a vacuum leak? I am not sure where to start at diagnosing this issue.

Recently the timing belt went on my '97 Escort. It had been dripping coolant from somewhere under the timing cover so I bought the timing belt/water pump kit thinking that this would solve the two problems. It only solved one. I'm still dripping coolant from somewhere under the timing cover.
Are there any freeze plugs or things that would leak under the cover? When I had it all apart, there were no visible leaks at least on the upper end that I could see easily.
Escort :: 1997 Sedan - Clunking Over Some Bumps And Turns
Got a 97 Sedan with 207k+ on it. Just did all struts (monroe quick-strut), brake pads, shoes, drums, rotors, calipers, rear and front sway bar endlinks, and lower ball joints. All hardware is tight and secured.
I am getting a clunk when I go over some bumps, but not all of them. I also find that it will clunk when I try to accelerate while turning out onto, say, a main road or something where I need to pick up speed. At times it sounds like it's coming from the passenger and others it sound like the middle or driver side.
Control arm bushings don't look too bad and would probably cause more noise when accelerating and braking. Both wheels are snug and don't move when tugging on them in the air. There is no play in the steering as well.

My son has a 94 Escort which is having some starting issues. On occasion when he's been out and about it won't start. He's checked under the hood, then tries it again, and it usually starts right up.
However, today the issue has changed. It wouldn't start until he put the car in N. From research, this sounds like a neutral sensor.
But to put a little twist in, sometimes it will start in P, but at times it will chug until he puts it in gear, where it runs fine. Could that be another symptom of the neutral sensor, or does it sound like two different issues.
I tried it when he got home and noticed the chugging on starting in P, and fine starting when in N.
No CEL or other warning lights. This happens with warm re-starts. It had new plugs and wires put in about a year ago.
