Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Can't See Speedometer From Driving Position

Am I the only one that has a hard time seeing the speedometer when driving? I have always driven leaning slightly to the right with the steering wheel down and my arm rested on the armrest and using my left hand to steer. This is the first car that have driven where its hard to see your speed when the steering wheel is lowered down. I am thinking about getting some sort of OBD display such as the super gauge.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: XM Radio Is Stuck On Channel 1

My XM radio is stuck on channel 1, and won't change. It was stuck on a different channel initially and I unplugged the battery and all it did was make the radio stuck on channel 1 now. I talked to sirius and they told me to take to dealership because their reset wouldn't work. Haow to fix it?

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Rattle Starts When Put The Car In Drive

I am the proud owner of a 2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS. After I bought this car (used), I have been having an issue with the exhaust. When you first start up the car, it idles and sounds great! But then as you put it in drive, well, that is when, what sounds to me like exhaust, rattle starts. you only hear it when you are on the gas or have a load on the engine (like A/C) at idle. It sounds like it is coming from the sound the left side of the engine (if looking at the engine from under the hood). Is there a way to fix it without taking it to the dealership?

Ford A/C :: 2010 Expedition - Blower Motor Not Turning Off / Stuck In Highest Fan Speed Setting

My 2010 Expedition Limited AC seems to be stuck in the highest fan speed setting. Changing the setting on the panel control do nothing to change the speed. But you can adjust the temp and it will respond. It is a dual control unit. When I try to turn the system to off completely it will go to what I believe is the vents and stay on full blast. If I turn the truck off and on again the whole system remains off until I turn it on again. The only way to turn it completely off is to turn it to off mode and turn the truck off.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Backup Camera Not Turning On

So I bought my car less than a month ago and it has less than 900 miles. The LED in my left front headlight shorted out all the lights on the left side of the car and fried the cabin fuse box apparently. I took it to Hyundai Monday and they had it until today (Friday).

They replaced the cabin fuse box and the whole headlight assembly. They hand me the key FOB and say here you go all set. I get into the car and go to reverse out of the spot and the camera doesn't even try to come on. Its not switching to a blank screen.. just stays on the radio.

The tech at Hyundai didn't have a clue how to fix it and I'm not leaving my car there over the weekend.

Having issue with their rear view camera not even turning on? I see a lot about blue screens, snowy pictures, ect. but that's not what I'm experiencing. I've hit the reset button on the head unit but that isn't working. Is there a way to do a hard reset on everything?

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Flickering And Turning Off When Starting Car

I got the HID kit from DDM tuning and suffer from issues with them working fine while the car is off but flickering and turning off when I start my car. I just got the error code eliminators to see if it eliminates the problem. The ECE's need to be plugged in correctly or else they can "pop" and be useless. How to tell the polarity of the wiring harness for the headlights?

My wife called today after arriving at work letting me know she was having trouble shifting the car from D(drive) to P(park). I know the Gear box is set up in a stepped configuration. Sometimes its smooth shifting up to park and other times its not.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Gear Shift Stuck / Burning Smell

I have 2011 Elantra at ~20,000 mile, and strange things started happening since last year...and it kinda blew up today.

My dashboard has been flickering randomly for a while, as in everything goes dark and turns up again in the middle of driving.

And today it turned off and turned on (as it usually does), and the dashboard seemed broken; speedometer stuck at 0 mph, rpm meter stuck at 0, all warning lights turned on, gas meter going up and down and stuff.

Fortunately enough I was close to home so I drove it back home, and my gear shift was stuck at neutral (I could switch b/w N and D).

So I took out the shift lock release? thing and managed to put the gear to P and pull my key out. I stepped out of my car and I smelled something burning...not a very good sign. What should I do? Well I think I need to take it to dealership tomorrow but I'm not sure if it'll be safe to drive...

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Code P0880 - Trans Stuck In 4th Gear

I have a 2011 Elantra 1.8 automatic Gls with 133k miles. While driving approximately 70 miles per hour the car downshifted to fourth gear, and would not shift up or down. I drove the car home and found that this is called "lump mode". I checked the codes, and found P0880 tcm voltage input. I replaced the fluid temperature sensor and harness, and checked continuity through the harness. I found no problems in the harness from the tcm to the solenoid connector. I then purchased a matching tcm, but the problem persisted. If the battery cable is left off for several days the problem will disappear until the car warms up.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Single Click From Front Of Car When Turning

My click sound is inconsistent, but typically, it's when I make a hard right or left turn. This being said, there are times I've was making a slow turn and my car still made the click noise. The turn can be a small one while in the lane for the off ramp of the freeway or a sharper turn around the corner. My impression is that when there is more force towards one side of the car, my steering wheel shaft is clicking. I also notice there's a click sound when I turn into a dip like when I drive out of a driveway onto a street that's lower than the driveway. The sound is also typically paired with moderate braking and turning. Someone who was in the car and heard the click and mentioned that it might happen when I make a sudden turn.

The single click is coming from the exterior of my car (I can hear it clearly when my windows are down) and around the engine area. I don't physically feel anything when I hear the click but I'm afraid that something may become an issue in the future. The click is also slowly driving me insane!!!

I've already gone back to my dealership and I bought this car brand new. It started happening almost immediately after I bought the car. When I took it in, they said they tightened a bolt (didn't specify which).

I've asked so many individuals and they can't think of anything. It's definitely not a CV issue because the car is brand new and the sound is a single click rather than a continuous knocking.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: 2013 - Squeaking Noise When Turning Right At Around 15 - 20 Mph

My Elantra has about 5,500 miles on it now. I went on a road trip up to Washington D.C. during spring break about two weeks ago.

Anyway, it has been making a squeaking noise when I turn right at around 15-20 mph. It makes a sound similar to a swing when its swinging. It's slightly high pitched and sounds like it's metal on metal. It's getting kind of annoying and I think I might take it in to have it checked out.

I have a 2012 hyundai elantra gls 6speed manual. Every time I apply the brake and turn the car makes a ticking noise that appears to come from the front. It happens when I turn either way. I just had the car inspected, but forgot to mention the noise, and they didn't say anything was wrong with the brakes. It only happens with the brake applied. When I let off the brake the noise stops.

I have a 2011 elanta limited with the push to start. 3x now I will park and push to turn off car. & it turns engine off but navigation and such stay on. Ill try to start it up and try again, exact same thing. Then I give up and get out and it will beep because my keys aren't nearby and continue to stay on. It's lasted an hour tips so far until it will cooperate.I can't completely turn it off. More info, 3x in 4months. Not driven or done anything differently any of those times.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: When Accelerate While In Drive From A Stop Car Doesn't Seem To Shift Up

I started to realize something very weird in my car. While in drive from a stop I would accelerate and the car doesn't seem to shift up when its suppose too. I know that my car shifts around 2.1k RPM smoothly into second gear but now it would go all the way up to 3K RPM and slams into second gear which is really weird. Sometimes it does this problem and sometimes it doesn't. I would say 70% it would slam into gear. Not only does it slam but it would seem like this car does not want to shift at the proper rpm even when i foot is on the gas pedal very lightly.

Once I got home I tried some stop and goes and see if the problem persist. It still did. Then I tried doing shiftronic and from first gear once the line touches 2k RPM i shift up and yet it would still lag and the needle would go up to 3K RPM once again. This seems like a very bad problem especially MPG wise. I am still under warranty, I think because I've only swap the air filter with a drop in K&N and just plasti dipped my wheels and such.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: 2012 Gear Shift - Car Would Startup But Stuck In Park

I don't know what is causing this but I bought a 2012 elantra last week (500 miles on it so far). Yesterday when I went to start my car the clicker wasn't opening or locking the doors so I had to use my key to open the door. When I got in my car would start but was "stuck" in park and I couldn't shift past park (yes I had my foot on the brake). After about 10 minutes it just randomly worked... Today I was driving to work stopped to get gas and as I was stopping I realized I couldn't shift passed neutral to put in park (I could go back and forth between drive and neutral). While this was going on my windows would not go up or down. Again after 10 minutes the problem seemed to fix itself. What could be causing this?

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Transmission Shifter - Gear Selector Would Get Stuck In Neutral

Just got my 2013 Elantra Limited last weekend. It appears the car is having some issues with the transmission shifter. I am not sure if its tranny related, but I highly suspect it is. Dealer gave me the usual bs not being able to duplicate the symptoms.

1. Intermittently, gear selector would get stuck in neutral, when I try to put the car into P, after a long or a short drive.

2. I would have to wiggle the shifter to get into P, or I would have to shift to D, and then I am able to shift back into P.

Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Driver Side Door Exterior Handle Stuck?

Absolutely loving the new car. It's been great!

One small thing that's bothering me, though, is a door handle issue. I tend to open the car door for my girlfriend quite a bit and I've only recently noticed that her door is extremely easy to open. Very little force is needed to pull the door handle with only two fingers. The back doors are the same.

My driver side door is quite the opposite. I always need to pull much harder on that handle, and in some cases if I pull the wrong way I actually have to use force to open it. The only thing I can think of is that it's either just constructed differently as its on the driver door or that I may have actually damaged it a bit when I accidentally hit the lock button on the door as I was opening it. The door actually locked in mid-open and caught the door.

I plan on going to the dealer and testing some other Elantras to see if their driver doors require a bit of pull, and I'd like to hear if anyone else has noticed a difference in opening the driver door as opposed to the other doors? I feel like they should all be silky smooth and require no real effort to open. My driver door just doesn't "pop" open for me anymore.
