Passat (B6) :: Can Add Resistors To Clear Airbag Lights?
so I just installed a set of sportline seats and after the fact I have a parking brake light (no auto hold) and airbag light on. After checking fault codes in vag, I have determined that both these lights are due to the air bags.
My question is this, can I add resistors to the airbag wires in the new seats to trick the car into thinking that these are the old airbags? Everything else except memory works on the seats, just these damn airbag/parking brake lights.

Been having for some time an intermittent problem where the air bag light will come on and not clear. I can clear it sometimes by removing the neg. batt. term. and letting it sit for a few minutes. The "air bag" light always seems to come on when someone sits in the passenger seat. The dealer reported a trouble code of "B1382-- PSAB harness improper pin tension" They said that they re-seated a connector and it was good to go. Now the "air bag" light is on again. Does the description refer to the pin tension in a connector? which connector does it refer to and can I just tighten up the female part of the connector such that the male pin makes better contact? Is it the yellow connector under the seat?

This is a recurring problem. Air Bag light comes on and stays on. Seems to always get triggered by someone sitting in the front passenger seat AND the right side rear passenger seat. First couple of times I was able to clear it by removing the neg. battery terminal for 30 to 45 min. Then it stayed on and didn't clear. I took it to the dealership and they said they cleared it by cycling the connector behind the glovebox. It has been ok for a long time until yesterday night when I had 5 people in the car. Now this morning the "Air Bag" light is on and won't clear. I tried disconnecting the neg. battery terminal because it was easy to do but no luck. I have checked the connectors under the passenger seat thinking someone is bumping a connector with their feet but all connectors seem ok.

Last week we had heavy rain and our streets in the gulf are not equipped to handle heavy rain or rain at all !! Anyway I found myself when getting back from work in the middle of high water like 30 cm for 50 meters and all the cars were driving through so I had to do this or else stuck.
Anyway I drove successfully but next day I saw the red light for airbag, yesterday i took it to the mechanical he has a small all cars scan tool I told him the story he told me could be the computer damaged and after he plugged the scanner he told me the same as he could not enter the system i guess.
could be the computer be the issue?
Or is it only the module for the airbags is damaged and for other parts it is okay as only the airbag light is on.

Is there a way to completely format / reset the navigation radio. The dealer wants to replace the head unit on a week old car. Seems like you should be able to clear the memory. Im getting a low memory error and it locks up. I hate to have the dash torn apart on a new car. I need to clear the phone contact but can't get to the phone settings because of the low memory issue. I think the problem stems from syncing over 500 contacts from my phone. Or maybe the 32gig USB.

Occasionally the car would shift rough though the first few gears and then clear up. It did throw a code awhile back, but I didn't take it in right away as the check engine light went off. Last time in they were unable to find a code and I was down to the last 100 miles of the warranty. I was heading in to get the sunroof repaired (For the 3rd time I must add) and on the way there it shifted rough and the check engine light came on. Good timing indeed as I am second owner. Turned out it was the transmission temp sensor and so far it seems resolved. The sunroof needs all new parts besides the glass so they will have me come back at the end of the week. Other then that car is running great and I am still getting around the 35MPG with 80% freeway.

Over the past 2 days I drove without the center of the steering wheel in place because I was in the middle of removing the turn signal arm - I had to wait until I found a T55 torque bit for removing the steering nut. Anyway, the I installed a new turn-signal arm and re-assembled the steering wheel and such. Even after reconnecting the airbag I'm still getting an airbag light on my instrument cluster. Is this a fault code that needs to be reset from the dealer? I know I plugged all the connectors correctly - only one way to do it.

This is how to clear the VSC, ECB light... I just did it my 06 GS430 after changing my brake pad and the lights came on.
If the code is able to be cleared, jumper connectors TC and EG (PINS 13 and 4)at the DLC 3 and press the brake 8+ times in 5 seconds. The pic and description below is just for reference and not the pins you need!

No matter what i do, I cannot get the box dead center of the nav display, saying "safe driving!" to clear.
And yes: in the settings page I have unchecked the box for that warning (it is supposed to keep you from playing with the nav system while driving.)

So I noticed a couple of weird patches on my mothers 2006 Silver Camry. After about a couple of month(s) it looks like clearcoat failure. My mom is the first owner and bought it brand new. The car has 90k miles.

my car is a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser with over 75K on it. My problem is two fold. First, recently the right rear turn signal light shorts out but only in the morning it seems. Because we've been getting a lot of rain in Nashville and the surrounding area, I suspect the high dewpoint and humidity might play a part here but I think I just need to replace the bulb.The second issue is a little more annoying. For whatever reason, the "air bag warning" light on the driver side console comes on and I cannot figure out why.The third issue is a little more pressing. I noticed during the summer whenever I was idling and had the A/C running, occasionally I would hear the engine act like it was about to stall out, like RPMs had dropped significantly. Now I've noticed it does that when the front defroster is running and winter is coming. What can I do about any of these problems listed here?

Airbag light / sign come on/off frequently from some days. Regardless the car is moving or parked, seat belts on or not. It comes on then after a while or minutes go off, then back on after a while/time.
I have no accidents, no body repair as well as no mechanical or electrical issues. Except the rear PDC (i don't have front one) not giving me sound/function since some months and I don't care about it.
It's Elantra 2012 1.8 litters, with 84k kms on board.

some time back, due to fault in the alternator, the voltage raised to around 17V in my Elantra. After this, the Air Bag light remained ON. Got it scanned from a shop and they said the system is functioning properly but the control unit does not work. The part ID is : 95910-2D300
I have two questions:
1. Does repairing this unit is possible?
2. I checked in e-bay (UK) but the exact part is not available. Are there any alternative part numbers that I can use instead of this exact one?
Elantra XD (2001-06) :: TCM / ABS / Brake And Airbag Lights On At Once
I have a 2002 Elantra and all of the TCM, ABS, AIR BAG and BRAKE lights come on as soon as I push the throtle and the car starts moving forward. I looked inside the owner's manual but all it says is that if all these lights come on at the same time and stay on the car needs to be taken to the dealership ASAP.

Having bought my Elantra just a few days ago. One minor annoyance however - on the dash next to the clock is a very bright, and very orange "Passenger Airbag Off" light. I commute by myself, so this is constantly on, and is pretty jarring vs. the muted and otherwise blue dashboard lights. Is there any way to disable this notification?

Engine light shows" Airbag". Ram Auto did a diagnostic and error code did not show up. Ram tried to delete the code, could not. They suggested search re-calls since this is a hot topic in the news about Hyundai's problem with airbag opening without cause. Did a research and there are no re-call for the year 2003-there are re-call for the year 2004. If the airbag light stays on and there is cause for it to open, it will not.
