Camry 2012+ :: 2015 - Steering Wheel Vibration At 40 Kph
I just bought a 2015 Camry LE 2 weeks ago and noticed a slight annoying steering wheel vibration when you hit 40 kph and above. You can also feel it on the floor and when you hold the door. Brought it to the dealership and they balanced the wheel. It seemed to have made a difference and you can now feel the vibrations from 80 kph and above. Did a road test with the mechanic and the service manager but they couldn't feel anything and told me it was normal road vibrations. Was advised to go to another dealership for a 2nd opinion. 2nd dealership found a slight excessive loaded runout on the LF tire and road force balanced it.
After 2 days i can again feel a vibration, but this time now at 115 kph and above.I thought I was just being paranoid so I drove a Maxima for 2 days and never felt a vibration.
Accent RB (2012+) :: Steering Wheel Vibration At Idle And Small Changes In RPM
I just recently bought my wife a 2013 Accent GS HB to Drive with 11k on the odometer and we have noticed what I think is excessive vibration at idle and small changes in RPM (Not like Hunting but on a smaller scale). Is this normal? I have driven the Prius for about a year now and I just think I'm a little too sensitive going from an engine that doesn't run at idle or at stops to one that does. I read other owners having the same experience, and to me it feels like a possible motor mount. At speed it's fine but I was just curious. We love the car regardless but it's still something that we wonder is normal.

Have noticed lately 2012 4x4 sc with 42,000 k has a slight vibration I guess you would call it you can feel through your fingers at certain speeds. I looked and felt tires which are at approximately 4,000 k from being new and they are wearing on the inside, going to rotate and have it aligned asap.
View 7 RepliesCamry :: Steering Wheel Vibration Starting Around 55 - 60 MPH And Above
I bought a certified pre-owned 08 Camary about two years ago and all in all it has been a good car. Over the past couple of months I had notice a little vibration in the steering wheel starting around 55 - 60 MPH and above. It seemed to be coming from the front of the car and at times I would notice a slow rocking of the front end around 20MPH.
I took it to a national repair shop recently and they said that it was the struts going bad. I have about 85,000 miles on the car and the tires looked new when I got it with about 30,000 mile on the car. All in all the thread on the tires look good with the exception of the outer threads on both front tires, you can see wear but only on the outsides. I also had shaking when I put my brakes on at higher speeds but they replaced the front brakes and turned the rotors and that fixed that issue.
Would struts going bad cause uneven tire wear and steering wheel shaking? If so does $1100 sound right to replace front struts, two new front tires and an alignment?
Camry 2012+ :: Engine Vibration At 1150 RPM When Driving
I have a 2012 LE Camry 4 cylinder, and almost ready for the first service. I have an annoying vibration at 1150 RPM when driving. It does not matter if the AC is on or off. I have not discussed it with the dealer yet.
It is not a tire balance problem, it is engine related, and only there at a little less than 1200 RPM.
Camry 2012+ :: Vibration Only While Accelerating When Driving Between 30 And 50mph
I just bought a 2012 camry about two months ago, and now I'm starting to feel some vibration while I'm driving. It seems to only happen when I'm driving between 30 and 50mph, and I am accelerating. For example, I can be cruising at 40mph and go to accelerate and I'd start feeling the vibration. It doesn't happen every time, but enough to know its something wrong. Also I can gas it 0 to 50 and feel no vibration at all. Or I could be cruising between 30 and 50mph, and gas it, I still wont feel it. Like I said it happens the most when I'm cruising between 30 and 50mph, and only when I slightly go to accelerate.
View 14 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Vibration At Idle Only When In Reverse Or Drive
A coworker has asked me to take a look at their 2013 Camry LE, 48,000 miles. It has a quite annoying vibration at idle and only when in reverse or drive. AC is not running this time of year, but does get worse if the compressor is turned on.
I'd like to think the trans and engine mounts are fine. It does not have any noticeable torque converter shudder. I have cleaned the throttle body, not that dirty, but not much improvement.
I suggested that he try different brands and grades of gas to see if matters improved at all - Shell 89 seems to be a slight improvement over what is normally used (just 87 from Costco, Sunoco, or Hess), but nothing substantial.
Spark plug change, decarbonizing top end?
Spark plugs look about like I'd expect an iridium plug to at these miles - no signs of oil burning, not tons of carbon, etc. I didn't get a real good look at the piston tops.
Camry 2012+ :: SE V6 Developed High Speed Vibration
I have a 2012 camry se v6, with about 56k miles. It has been lowered on H&R springs since 20k miles. I recently got new rims, but used my old tires. I developed a high speed vibration. I got it aligned twice, and balance twice. But i still can not get rid of this vibration?
View 2 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: Vibration From Front Wheels At 8k Miles
noticed at 8k miles i started getting a vibration from the front wheels on my new camry [2014]. feels like typical warped rotor. i could understand if the car were being driven hard but its not. now at 8.5k the vibration is getting worse. Who manufactures a good quality drilled and slotted rotor ? also the dipstick tube at the block [4cyl] is leaking oil. has been repaired by toyota twice already and leaking again.
View 10 RepliesCamry :: Inconsistent But Horrible Steering Wheel Vibration
Around 30k miles ago (or so) I had some TSW 19" wheels installed and about 1k miles later, I had H&R lowering springs installed. Shortly thereafter, I've had a very inconsistent but horrible steering wheel vibration. Most often this happens when I'm going between 45-85mph. But the strangest thing is that the vibration doesn't always happen! Sometimes I will be on the same stretch of road and the steering wheel will strongly and consistently vibrate as if I had warped rotors. Other times it will be nearly as smooth as glass.
Not sure if this is related but after the most recent set of tires were installed (around 1.5k miles ago) the car now pulls fairly strongly to the left. I've had two shops do three alignments and the alignment seems to be ok.
My primary auto repair shop showed something to me the other day. There is a bushing between the vertical steering rack and the horizontal tie-rods, etc. Whenever I turn the wheel, the bushing flexes/stretches noticeably as much as 3mm but there are no visible tears/breaks in the bushing. The shop visually checked the tie rods and they seemed ok also. A couple of my friends that know a lot more about cars than me seemed to indicate that this bushing should not move much, if at all. Below is a list of the things my car has gone through since we first noticed this issue:
- Three different tires and sizes have been used on these wheels and all have exhibited the same problem over the past 30k+ miles.
- Tires balanced and rotated by several different shops by traditional and Hunter road-force balancing machines. No difference.
- Two shops have cross-rotated my directional tires to see if wheels/tires were the problem but the car still pulled and steering wheel still vibrated.
- My TSW wheels/tires have been put on another car and no vibrations were present.
- Tried another car's wheels/tires and still had the same problem but it was slightly less intensive.
- Wheels aligned three times by two different shops since I had the current tire set installed about 1.5k miles ago. No difference other than the introduction of the car now pulls to the left.
- Replaced brake rotors and pads. No difference.
- Front and rear suspension checked and everything seemed ok.
- Removed Ultra Racing Strut Bar for several thousand miles. Minor vibration reduction but nothing major.
- Replaced hub-centric rings that came with TSW wheels with new rings from a different brand. Zero difference.
- Many other things checked but can't recall exactly what.
Camry :: 2006 SE - Steering Vibration At 60-65 Miles Per Hour
I have a 2006 Camry with a steering vibration at 60-65 miles per hour. I have looked at all of the Threads for similar problems but everyone is guessing at the cause....stating "Check the alignment, check tire pressures, check the wheel balance, check the wheel bearings."
I have checked all of these things to the best of my ability and there does not seem to be a problem there. I bought new tires and had the front end aligned. Vibration still there. Had tires balanced 3 different times. VIBRATION STILL THERE. Removed wheels and inspected all suspension parts. No obvious problem seen. Switched tires front to back then left to right then front to back again. VIBRATION STILL THERE.
Forgot to mention that the right front is wearing on the inside but the alignment checks out. I had the alignment re-checked at the tire dealer and then checked it myself later in the month using toe plates that we have in the shop for our SCCA ITB Club Racer. Is there a Recall that I am not aware of ?????
Camry :: 2006 - Vibration In Steering Wheel When Braking
I have a 2006 Camry 4 cylinder that I turned the rotors on all four wheels and replaced all the brake pads on all four wheels with ceramic pads. I did this a year or two ago.
Now this doesn't happen every time you brake but sometimes you will get a vibration in the steering wheel when braking.
When I had the rotors turned at O'Reillys they said they were too thin. So I had them bring out a new one and that one was too thin as well according to whatever specs they were using. So they turned my old ones.
And the car doesn't pull to either side when braking. There are not grooves in the rotors and it doesn't make any screeching when braking. I did notice that there is a ridge on the edge of the rotor when you run your finger across it from the inside to the outside of the rim of it. My guess the rotors are warped.
And if the rotors need to be replaced is this rotor better than the stock ones and thicker? [URL] ....
Camry 2012+ :: Vibration Under Highway Braking - All Four Of Rotors Were Warped
It all started around 18,000 miles when I noticed a vibration under highway braking. I convinced myself that everything was fine for the time being and I would have the dealer inspect the brakes at my 20,000 service. Fast forward to the service and all four of my rotors were warped. The dealer turned them all and said I wouldn't have any more problems. The car sits at 28,500 miles now and I'm starting to get the same vibration sensation as I had at 18,000 miles. I'm definitely going to be bringing the car in for it's 30,000 mile service and I will bring up the issue again. What type of warranty is on the brakes as I hope they will replace the rotors this time.
View 14 RepliesCamry 2012+ :: XLE V6 - Intermittent Rattle / Vibration Coming From The Front Of Car
Have a new 2012 Camry XLE V-6. The car has an intermittent rattle/vibration coming from the front of the car. I have 5000 miles and the noise is getting worse. Taken back twice to dealer but no luck. The dealer has checked the front end and suspension, but can not find anything loose. The noise starts around 45 MPH. I know this sounds crazy, but the noise is worse if it's a windy day. A sudden guest of wind will start the noise. I've tried trouble-shooting by turning the wheel, hitting the brakes, even placing the car in netural while driving, but nothing affects the noise except the wind.

I have a 2012 SE I4 with 500 miles on it. I have noticed that while sitting at stop lights, the car vibrates slightly and I can feel it on the seat since day 1. It gets better if the AC is on. I would expect that when stopped and sitting at a stop light, the car should idle smoothly and not notice the engine. If I put in N or P, I don't feel the engine running at all either through steering wheel or the seat. Is it normal? It is really annoying me since the car is less than a week old.
View 14 RepliesCamry :: Slight Vibration In Steering And Driver Floor Pan Area Around 70 To 75 Mph
02 Camry XLE, I just changed both front rotors and pads (raybestos professional grade and akebono pro act pads). The hubs were pretty clean and I spayed brake cleaner and wiped them, washed the rotors with soap to remove any grease, lubed the pins etc...
I have not had a chance to bed-in the new pads/rotors. I am driving and braking slow/easy last 2 days. Now, I get a slight vibration felt in the steering and driver floor pan area around 70, 75 mph. (NOT when braking, just cruising.) I don't recall having this with old rotors.
Are these signs that the rotor is defective/out of balance themselves? I did go to discount tire and got my tires re-balanced, it's somewhat better... but not perfect.
Camry 2012+ :: Drone / Vibration Which Occurs When Engine At 1600 - 2000 Rpm?
2012 Camry SE 4 cyl, 56K miles ... Happens in all gears, in normal and sport mode “under light acceleration” at 1600-2000 rpm.
Sitting in driver’s seat I hear a drone which sounds similar to the engine lugging we hear briefly at around 1000 RPM. In the 1600-2000 RPM range it is very annoying because this is the cruising range on highways. Sometime when going up a slight incline it can be felt through the accelerator.
When seating in back seat on passenger’s side, it sounds similar to a bad muffler/resonator and is very audible. Spring loaded exhaust couplings in front of muffler and between front pipe and converter are not seized. All rubber hangers are there. Installed “B-quiet” sound absorber in trunk going from spare tire well over top of muffler and up rear quarter panel which did not work. Nothing is touching the exhaust under the car.
When idling the exhaust produces a noticeable putt-putt sound. Toyota rep (not dealer) went for a ride with me and feels it is typical of a car “for this mileage” (same as dealer told me). I stated it did not do it before and was told cars wear in and after a while characteristics change.
Camry :: 2010 Toyota SE - Vibration In The Steering Wheel / Seats And Gas Pedal
I bought a 2010 toyota camry se. I have the most annoying vibration in the steering wheel, seats, gas pedal. Have taken it to several places, including a Toyota dealer.. They seem to not be able to find the cause. I've had wheels checked, balance, aligned, rotated. There is also an annoying clonking noise coming from the front passenger assembly. It's very sporadic as in only goes away when trying to have a technician hear it.
