Ford Excursion :: 2005 - Programming Key Fob?
Just bought a 2005 excursion diesel and they handed me a key fob and said that all I have to do is program it.

I have a 2006 Avalon XLS. Great car. Came with 1 cut master key and 2 remotes. I bought two blanks off amazon with the right transponder chip and had them cut for $5. Now I need to use my master to program the transponders in the two new keys. Or to get the car to recognize the two new keys to start it. They just turn and crank right now.
Any way to do this without the dealer? Mine wants $120 for programming. I do have the black master key.
I have tried the whole master key on off six times and open close drivers door five times deal. I cannot get my security light to stay on to accept new keys.
Ford Escape / Hybrid :: 2005 - Key Fob Programming?
I only have one key and 2 FOBs for my 2005 Escape, but I do have the key number (4 digits plus a letter). I understand I need more than one to program another myself. Is there an inexpensive way to obtain/program a backup key?

I have a 2006 Camry XLE and I had to replace the battery on the keyless entry remote. I am trying to get it to link back up but all internet searches tell me to go through a process of opening and closing the doors to get the car into "programming mode".
I have tried the sequence several times and I cant get my car to go into "Programming mode" as this website suggests but my car does not respond to that sequence. Am I doing something wrong? How do you get your car to link back up with the keyless remote?
Camry :: 2006 Toyota 2.4 LE - Cannot Get The Car To Enter Programming Mode For Key Fob
I purchased a used toyota camry 2006 2.4 LE. They key fob doesn't work since I got it, so I thought maybe the key fob battery is dead or the key fob itself is damaged. I searched for how to program they key fob and found some instructions, but it doesn't work. I can't get the car to enter the programming mode for the key fob(it should lock and unlock automatically as tutorials point out). Where to start tackling this problem?

Camry :: 2005 Toyota LE - Remote Locks Not Working
So, I have a 2005 Toyota Camry remote locks have not worked for a while. Also started having the issue with the two front doors where the manual electric locks worked intermittently. I replaced the little RC car motors in the door lock actuators today and got that squared away so that works great now. I also ordered a new remote to program. I programmed the remote and everything seems to go fine with that (The locks cycle when they are supposed to etc.). However, once I program the remote it just doesn't work.
So, trying to figure out what is going on here. Should I just return the remote and try to get a different one...but would it even program if it the remote where not compatible.
Also, read some about about a Door control receiver module. which that is basically a wireless receiver right? I would think if it could receive a signal and cycle the locks during programming then it should work normally??
I drove the car for years and just did not worry about it but have passed it down to my teenage daughter and would like her to be able to unlock the doors while approaching the car so she can just hop in and go without having to fumble around with keys.
Camry :: 2005 - Dash / Cluster Dimmer Switch Isn't Working
I have an 05 4-cyl LE. The dash/cluster dimmer switch isn't working, but all the lights are on and at full blast. I removed the fuse panel cover and coin try. There was a set of wires and a plug just free floating back there (3 wires and a black clip). I could not see anything plugged into the dimmer so I figure that's there the plug goes? I can't get my chubby fingers up back there to plug it in and would like to remove the trim panel to gain access. I can't find anything out there on how to remove that panel.

I have a 2005 Toyota Camry that we purchased 14 months ago. When purchased it had bad brakes so the dealer replaced the rotors and calipers at their expense. A month ago I took the car in for a routine oil change and was notified that my rear calipers were stuck open and that my rear brakes were not working and rusted. The rotors look hardly worn, the one on the passenger side has some deep grooves in it and the driver side is pitted. We feel that we had poor work done when the brakes were replaced and that the back never worked. After the brake job was done we would get some "chinging" noise in the back brakes and I had them inspected twice and they said everything was fine. But now we find out they weren't fine.

Test drove a purported APR Stage 2+ car today. It had tons of power, so there's definitely a tune on it. However, I wasn't getting any response when I played with the cruise switch to see if it would swap programs.
There's no paperwork on the mods, I can see the full APR exhaust and a R intake, but nothing on the tune. If you scan the car with VAG-COM can you tell what tune is on it?
Do all the APR tunes come with the map switching ability/multiple maps? Or is this the case where maybe only 1 APR tune was put on the car so there's nothing to switch to?
Also, how can you confirm if the car has the fuel pump upgrade?

Owner of a 2004 Phaeton V8, fully loaded. First, I am having a problem programming my homelink system, and I have already read every single thread on the forums about it, read the relevant pages of the manual, and even referenced the homelink website to no avail.
Anyways, the problem is this: When I hold down the 1 & 3 buttons for any period of time, nothing happens. I have held it down for 20 seconds, 40 seconds, 2 minutes, 2 hours (not really)... nothing makes a difference. I was originally wondering if perhaps I did not have a homelink system or maybe there was some kind of problem with it. I have also tried the single button programming method. No matter what I do, those lights will not light up (or if I have my headlights turned on, they will not blink).
Passat (B5) :: Do Key Require Special Programming?
I have just purchased a 2000 Passat 1.8 mfg 2/29/2000. I have no keys. I will have to get keys made and want to know if they require special programming. Dealer said its on fence maybe maybe not. Depends on when built. Any other info about what to look for would be nice. I look forward to being able to contribute in the future. For now I'm a newbie.

My 2000 excursion will not enter the program mode to allow me to program 2 new remote fobs. A couple of years ago I successfully programmed two remotes and it was easy. One broke so I thought well I will buy 2 more. I have tried the procedure over 100 times and I can not make it work. Followed instructions to a tee that came with the fobs and also the procedure in owners manual. Is there a relay that could be bad? I can use the door number code and my last key fob still works fine. I have disconnected the battery, both cables, held them together for 1 minute and left them off for 1/2 hour. Still no luck.

Okay here's the story I bought a 99 Ford Ranger with a bad 4.0 engine. I had a newer 2002 4.0 and tranny out of another Ford Ranger thought it be an easy swap put the newer engine in and it will only run on the original Older ecm (but ruff) and the older ECM is screwing with the transmission (no reverse) unplug connections at tranny and i have reverse. So I buy a ECM from a junkyard for the 2002 and drop it off at the dealership to have the Pats programmed. and the dealership says they can't program it to make it run. They say the Pats are different from 99 to 2002. So I go another route I buy an SCT performance chip and have them disable the Pats. still won't run.

I have a 00 olds intrigue. Just bought a new keyfob and followed directions to program but after I insert the key the 3rd time and release the unlock switch, the 3 chirps never happen. I even tried pulling the bcm pgm fuse but didn't work. Pgm directions are, close dors, insert key turn to on, remove key, hold driver unlock button in unlock position while inserting and removing key 3x but don't turn ignition, leave in on 3rd time and let go of lock, then you should hear 3 chirps, after chirps press and hold keyfob lock & unlock together x 14 seconds then you will hear another chirp. I never get the first 3 chirps or anything after.
