BMW - 325i :: Air Conditioning Blowing Hot Air
Last summer, my air conditioning was blowing hot air. I took it to the mechanic where they added refrigerant. It worked. Last week, it was blowing coolish warm air on the driver side and warm air on the passenger side. I took it to the same mechanic where they added refrigerant. Now, it blows very cold air on the driver’s side and cool air on the passenger’s side. I inquired about a leak, but they said that they didn’t see one, but I could take it back in a couple weeks where they could run a dye to determine whether there really is a leak. They also mentioned that I might need to bring it every year to have refrigerant added.
I read a few articles and have concerns that they would just add refrigerant, (especially a second time) without determining the root cause of the problem. I’m also wary that they would suggest bringing it back every year and at a cost of $110, especially when I read that an unrepaired leak could have an adverse impact on other related components. Prior to reading this I was thinking of adding coolant myself every year for closer to $35. I’m also wondering why the driver’s side is blowing colder air than the passenger’s side and whether there could be a larger issue than just a leak.
BMW - 325i :: 2001 - Moisture In Engine
I have a 2001 BMW 325i. A few weeks ago I noticed creamy sludge under my oil cap. My first thought was a head gasket, but it's not overheating and the heat works great in the car. I'm not blowing white smoke when the car is warm. Im also not losing a noticeable amount of oil or coolant. The weather has been cold with snow and rain lately. I cleaned everything off, even under the valve cover and after a 20 min drive I stopped and looked at the cap again. I noticed water droplets on the bottom of the cap. There is no noticeable sludge on the dipstick when I check that.

2002 BMW 325i. It starts then stalls. It stalled in the middle of the road the other day while I was going REAL slow. Now it's totally unreliable. If it starts it leaves me stranded. Turn over just fine never engages.

I just purchased a 2007 w/ Nav and evidently the last owner only had one key/key fob so I ordered another from the Toyota Dealership. I took the car today to have it programmed and to make a long story short, they were not able to program the key.

I just bought a 2004 Phaeton V8. So far, it's great.
But I'm having trouble with programming the Homelink garage door opener. The instructions in the manual are the same as other cars I've owned - hold down buttons 1 & 3 until the light blinks, then press the button you want to program while also using the remote you want the car to learn. But when I press 1 & 3, no light begins blinking - I can't even find the light on the panel!

I just purchased a 2004 rx330. I purchased a set of keys off amazon and tried to program them using Techstream. It will not allow me what so ever to program. it always gets to programming the key step and then says error between key and ecu. I have programmed tons of toyota keys using techstream and never had any issue with aftermarket keys so I bought another set from another vendor and they will not program either. I was able to manually program the remote for keyless entry so they will communicate with the car and are the right FCC ID number. I used to be a service advisor at Toyota so I do know more than the average person when it comes to these.
Also the power window master switch will not roll down the drivers side rear window or do auto for the drivers window. I have tried every combination to reset (we used to do them on the driver sometimes) and it still wont work. Drivers and drivers rear window buttons are flashing.

Recently, I've been looking into making a copy of my ignition key for my 2005 Camry SE. I bought a blank on eBay, had it cut to fit my master key, and it works fine for locking and unlocking the doors. However, since it is a Transponder Key, apparently I need to program it in some way to use it for ignition.
I've been looking all over for instructions on how to do this, and have tried this commonly repeated method, with no success:
1. Simultaneously depress and release brake and accelerator pedals 1 time.
2. Insert an original Master Key into the ignition but do not turn it.
3. Within 15 seconds depress and release accelerator pedal 5 times.
4. Within 20 seconds depress and release the brake pedal 6 times and remove key.
5. Within 10 seconds insert New Key into ignition but do not turn it.
6. Within 10 seconds depress and release the accelerator pedal 1 time.
7. Now sit and wait for about one minute until the security light in the center counsel stops blinking and turns off.
8. Remove new key and depress and release brake pedal 1 time.
9. Test your key now. It should work if you followed the instructions. If not, you may want to try the following instructions:
To reiterate, these instructions have not worked for me.

Camry :: How To Program Key To Work With Remote Starter
I just bought a used 2009 Camry, which has a remote starter installed, but my key will not operate it. From what I understand, the original owner lost the key that was programmed to work with it, and the replacement key does not. I have four keys: one is entirely metal, one is black plastic with no logo, one is black plastic with Toyota logo, and the last one has all the buttons which pop the trunk, and remotely lock and unlock the vehicle. I tried using the key with all the buttons to remotely start the car, but nothing happens.
