Hot Flashes Followed By Cold Flashes And 99.9 Low Grade Fever
I think I am going insane... I have been suffering from episodes of hot flashes followed by cold chills with 99.1 to 99.7 degrees fever for about 4 years now.. I have had Blood tested for almost everything- Lupus, Thyroid.-Aids, Sed rates.. etc... and nothing comes back... The dr's can not find anything.. This last episode is lasting 31 days and counting.. I am starting to get a lot of anxiety, my body aches and I have headaches that come and go..
I am 45 years old and feel like I am90! I have been in relatively good health.. Is is possible that this is perimeno? I just started hormone replacement therapy and My obgyn has me on a very low dose of progesterone - pills and testosterone..I am hoping this helps.. I am so sad and scared, I don't know what to do.

View 1 RepliesBio Pro Thumb Implant For Arthritis Of The CMC Joint?
I have just read about a new procedure for surgery of the CMC joint in the thumb. It's a much smaller infusion, doesn't involve removal of a whole bone and is supposed to have a much faster recovery time and little loss of strength. It involves an implant called the Bio Pro thumb implant.

View 2 RepliesImplant? Bloating, Constipation And Headaches
Me and my partner have had unprotected sex since we have been together, however this isn't a problem (so I Thought) because I have the implant and so far had it for 2 years .. I've never had a problem before but recently I haven't come on my period for two months, which I know is a side effect of the implant but i've always been regular with it anyway Hoyt I've been experiencing bloating, constipation, headaches, nausea gas sand and shortness of breathe, all of which I'm told are signs of pregnancy.
I did a wilkos own pregnancy test and it showed to be negative so why am I experiencing all these problems? Would it be best to try another one?
I've talked to my doctor and he believes there is no way of me being pregnant because of the implant however I've heard of people who have been pregnant while having it.
Im very confused and wondering if anyone could help? I'm also having my implant taken out on Monday!! Very undecided whether I wasn't that done now or not...... I don't have other signs like darker areolas or tender breasts however have had pains as though I was about to come on my period but I haven't and that was two days ago!
Switch From MonoNessa (pill) To The Implanon Arm Implant
I'm going to be making the switch from MonoNessa (pill) to the Implanon arm implant. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experiences with it and what kind of side effects they experienced. I'm terrible at remember to take the pills, so they just weren't practical for me, but I want to make sure I'm not making a mistake as I have heard horror stories of women losing fertility after using Implanon.
View 1 RepliesMenstruation :: Pill And Implant - Very Irregular Periods
I have gotten the implant in April 2015, and I thought this would help me through my periods as they were quite painful at times. I tried the pill, but since I'm already taking epilepsy medication, I didn't like the idea of taking another pill as well as them! In anyway, my periods are very irregular.. I mean, I could sometimes have spotting for a few days, or mistake it for a period because it's so light.. Then maybe, I could have two periods a month because of this! It's very annoying, as I don't even know when I'm going to have my next period, and I don't even get the symptoms i useta anymore.. It's such a pain!! Anyone have any thoughts on this?
View 1 RepliesHallux Rigidus Surgery - Implant Placed - Still Having Pain
I had surgery 5 days ago. An implant was placed in the big toe. Still having pain. Saw dr. yesterday (changed dressing) & removing stitches next week. Went to a podiatrist. Does anybody know how long pain will last? I think he said when I return next week, I can drive (it's right foot) wearing a slipper, not the surgical boot. Won't it hurt to drive at this point?
View 14 RepliesHallux Rigidus Surgery - Hemicap (implant) Resurfacing Procedure?
Has anyone ever had toe surgery for hallux rigidus using a Hemicap resurfacing procedure? I've been online researching & it seems that this is an implant, but recovery is much faster with this type & from what I can gather, it's an improvement over other methods. Patient testimonials show really fast recoveries, people walking the day after surgery without a surgical shoe & return to work much faster. On my previous post, I noted that I had surgery last week with an implant. The podiatrist said it was a Hemi implant, but I don't think it's the same as this Hemicap. I'm interested in the Hemicap resurfacing because I'm developing pain in the toe on the other foot & plan to get more than one opinion this time.

Has anyone heard of the correlation between the birth control implant and severe anxiety and depression? I have had the implant place in Feb, and panic attacks have started with a vengeance, everyday and sometimes multiple times in a day for almost a month. I have read articles that it can cause an increase in anxiety and blood pressure (mine his been unusually high). Does anyone else have experience with this?
View 1 RepliesHemifacial Spasm :: After Stent Implant - Face Twitch, Droopy And Painful
A little over twelve years , directly after I had a stent implant in one of the main arteries to my heart, the left side of my face developed a twitch. I mentioned the twitch to my cardiologist, and he said, "We all get little twitches. it will go away. It didn't. It progressively became worse and effected my trigeminal nerve. The first neurologist that I was referred to recommended botox. All that I got out of that was the left side of my face being, numb, droopy, twitchy and painful. I went to several doctors and dentists in Spokane. The dentists told me that my teeth were not causing the pain and the neurologists kept prescribing me the same prescriptions. I also tried physical therapy and acupuncture. I had two teeth extracted with the hope that it would relieve the pain. I decided to get proactive and read about microvascular decompression (MVD) surgery. I found that they performed MVD in Seattle at the University of Washington. I e-mailed a detailed description of my symptoms, and they made an appointment to see me. The surgeon (Dr. Rostomily) that I met with asked me, "How long I have you lived with that condition." I told him, "A little over seven years," he said, "I don't know how you have done it." Fourteen days later I had the surgery and when I woke up I was free of the twitch. That was in 2010. I still have the nerve pain on the left side of my face. I am positive that if the neurologists in Spokane had referred me to the U of W Medical Center once that I was diagnosed, that I would also be free of the pain. Last week I started seeing a Physical Therapist (PT) and after the session there was improvement. Hopefully the sessions with the PT will eventually lead to a pain free life. My advice: If you develop HFS and it gets worse, don't delay ... get MVD surgery.
View 2 RepliesDental Health :: Abscess After Tooth Extraction And Bone Graft - Implant?
I recently had a fractured tooth extracted. I had previously had a root canal and crown on the same tooth. After the extraction, a bone graft was done. We are in the process of waiting to get the implant done. Today, however, I noticed a little mound in the space where the tooth was extracted. I popped it and the liquid was consistent with previous abscesses I had. I immediately cleaned it with hydrogen peroxide and water. Seems like these pop up a little bit more when I have sinus issues. My question is whether not I should wait a little longer before getting the implant. Do I also need to go back to my oral surgeon and let him know? Not sure if this is normal or not.
View 1 RepliesLarge Prostate - TURP Surgery? Feedback / Reviews - Penile Implant
I'm 48 and would like feedback on the TURP surgery...
I've had issues with my prostate over the past 2 years. Last October it was 3.9 cm x 4.9 cm. An now its measured at 5.9 cm x 5.7 cm during the past year I've noticed I was getting 5-8 times a night and during the having to rush to the restroom with no time spare, in the past 4 months I've had to force my urine out. Called doc he ordered urodynamics test, it showed that my bladder has no reaction when I'm full of urine. Doc said MY prostate is so large it's shutting off my urethra tube. So he said I need the TURP surgery. .
I'm so unsure about this because I've had penile implant surgery this past Jan. and if I have the TURP I'll lose my ejaculation...
I also would like to know how to do all with not being able to cum?
Menopause :: Hot Flashes Gone At 58
I'm not sure what happened but the hot flashes that have been relentless for about four years and up to three an hour have gone! It's been about a week now, I noticed one day that they diminished and today not one! I'm sleeping much better and I am in a great mood. No more feelings of doom . I have my 58 th birthday coming soon. Do you think I'm done? Is the nightmare over? I hope so . I am having sore breasts and I'm not sure why. I haven't had a period for about two years. Fingers crossed that they don't come back . I like this feeling, it's like the old me is back.

I am 67 years of age. In the past year I have begun to have hot flashes again. Is this normal? My doctor said well that is one of those things we have to put up with. I had stopped having problems with hot flashes about 45 years of age or before. When I had total hysterectomy those stopped. Can anyone tell me about why this might be the norm and we have to put up with it until death!
View 1 RepliesEye Care :: Flashes/ Floaters
I have been having some concerns with my vision to start off I have myopia and astigmatism, but recently I had noticed a flash of light. It happened when I was sleeping, so I'm not 100 percent sure if it was part of a dream or if I really saw it. I also noticed that if I turned my heart really quickly from right to left I would see what looked like a gold light around my eye that last for maybe a few seconds. I was super worried at that point and went to see my eye doctor as soon as possible she didn't see any tears or any signs of a detached retina but did notice that my vision prescription had changed. To be on the safe side she suggested I go see an opthamologist in a few weeks. I of course was too worried to wait a few weeks so I made the appointment right after my eye doctor visit.
The opthamologist checked my vision and told me my eyes were healthy and everything looked fine. She suggested that the flashes could be caused by ocular migraines and told me unless I am seeing tons of flashes, floaters, or dark curtains over my eye then its okay to see a few. I was very relieved with the news, but I still am worried something is wrong. I thought I saw some flashes today in my peripheral vision and my vision seemed a little off. My vision seeming off is most likely due to needing new glasses. I noticed some of the possible flashes today when I was in an area where there is bright lights. Could really bright lighting/sunlight causes eye flashes or my vision to act weird?
I also use my smart phone quite a bit and notice it when I'm using my phone for extended periods of time. Could that cause flashes or vision issues? and could having too much caffeine cause vision problems? I don't really feel like going back to my doctor every time I see flashes, but I just worry if I don't maybe it could be something serious. I have just been stressing and having awful anxiety about it even though I was just told my vision was fine literally a few days ago.
Has anyone else experienced this? Thank you if you took the time to read this I know its super long lol. I'm just not sure what to do I mean maybe I'm just being paranoid or just letting anxiety get the better of me.
Menopause :: No Hot Flashes - Perimenopause?
it has become so hard to see if i fit for peri-menopause as I do not have hot flashes at all but i seem to have all else creeping up on me. lots of women say if you don't have the hot flashes then it can not be peri...So really what is the best way to know that your entering that stage of life or not..i read alot of posts where all these woman have all these tell tale sign of menopause and instead of there doctor taking there age into consideration for menopause they all run to do all kinds of tests and this and that..is it really that difficult to decipher when in menopause or not? I'm so confused and since I'm 42 my doctor wont even talk to me about it regardless that my mother and her went into full menopause at 45 yrs old..i just hate to be running to the DR and getting all frustrated when some of my symptoms or all are peri-menopause related.
