Lower Back Pain / Numb Lower Legs
I have had lower back pain for months now which goes hand in hand with numb lower legs, pain and discomfort really bad in the morning when waking, so much so I get up and have to stretch on my exercise mat to get relief. The veins in the lower legs in the morning really stand out. I saw the doctor who said it was lower back pain causing the numbness in the legs but the circulation seemed ok. I wanted a scan to see what the problem is as the pain can be bad, but he said they don't do back scans no point? The pain is often bad and I sit with a hot water bottle. I am 60 years old.

View 2 RepliesMenopause :: Binosto Side Effects - Lower Back Pain And Gas
Took Binosto (similar to Fosamax) for a few months beginning this past December. Was feeling well at that time. Since then, began experiencing terrible lower back pain, gas, lower left ab pain and have had a cough for a few weeks. I think that sums it up. Went to my doctor and told her everything. She checked me out. We decided to stop the Binosto thinking it could be causing these symptoms (don't know about the cough, though). She said to give it two weeks to get out of my system. It's been two weeks now and I still feel like crap! Could it take longer than two weeks to feel better? Maybe a month? Two? Do you think it could be the Binosto? I was feeling fine before starting it!
View 1 RepliesBack Pain :: Left Side Back Pain, Middle To Lower Back
About 2 week's ago I took 2 perc within a night and the next day I got sick, I thought from the pills, but than I was nauseous and have been for the most part ever since. My left side mid to lower back started hurting approx a week ago and it's gotten much worse last night and now I'm having pain in my upper right abdomen as if the pain moved. I'm on muscle relaxers for my back already but it's not affecting/helping my new pain though and the new pain doesn't feel the same. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what it might be, some say kidneys but does that pain or can it move from my back to my abdomen?

View 1 RepliesHow To Lower My Lower My Heart Rate And Blood Pressure?
Hi, I am 21 years old, with no health problems. I have suffered from anxiety in the past, however, I have quit my medication (lexapro) about 8 months ago, and after the first 1-2 months, my anxiety completely disappeared. 8 months ago my heart rate was around 65 bpm, and my blood pressure around 135/80. Nowadays, my heart rate is around 80-85 bpm resting, and my BP around 145/90.
I have in the past tested my thyroid function (no problems), did several ECGs, one echo, as well as tests to check cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Everything came back normal. My doctor who I've seen recently didn't know what to say about the heart after he checked my records, so he ordered a Holter (which has been done, but results didn't come back yet).
What could account for my increase in heart rate / blood pressure after quitting the medicine? From what I remember, before starting the anxiety medicine which I took for approximately one year and a half, I also had quite high heart rate. Could this issue simply be genetic? And if it is, what can I do about it since I've heard that high heart rate increases the risk of early death?
I have attempted to take magnesium supplements, omega 3 oils, etc. as I've heard they're good for the heart, but have seen little to no improvement in heart rate or blood pressure. My doctor intends to give me blood pressure and hear rate lowering medicine if the holter comes back normal. However, I'm not too keen on taking medicine. Is there anything else that I can do to lower my heart rate and BP?

View 1 RepliesBack Pain After Clicking/popping Sound In The Lower Middle Back
Two days ago I was in the gym exercising my shoulders and whilst I was lifting weights, I moved my back whilst seated and I heard a 'click' sound in my back, followed by pain in that area of my lower middle back. I immediately stopped exercising and haven't gone to the gym since.
I don't know what I was thinking by moving my back like that, but since it happened there is a lot less pain and it feels like the pain may be totally gone in the next 48-72 hours hopefully.
On the night of the injury I found it hard to turn onto my side when in bed, but now I can do it without any problems. Now I can only feel some pain when I turn my upper body to the left or right or if I try to stretch my lower back.
Would anyone be able to give me some advice such as what type of injury I have or whether this may have a long term effect? Is it a very positive sign that the pain is decreasing each day?
Back Issues :: Pinched Nerve Or A Lower Back Strain?
I was doing a yoga pose (a torso twist hold which is where you lay on your back bring both legs up in the air then bring them down with your knees/legs tucked and torso twisted on opposite side) when I accidently dropped mid twist too quickly and hurt my lower back, the pain on a scale of 1-10 is about a 2-3, so a dull aching. Its localized and does not radiate down my thighs/legs or up to my neck. There's no shooting/stabbing pains and It also doesn't burn, or tingle (numbness). Could this be just a stretched/sprained back issue or a pinched nerve?. It also isn't tender to the touch at all.

View 1 RepliesLower Back Pain, Black Stool
I'm gonna make this short because there isn't much to it. For about 3 weeks I have had lower back pain. Not a bad pain. Kind of a pain where I have to sit a certain way or I feel the pressure. Well, the last two days I have experienced some what I can see as if it's black stool. Now, I have had experience with black stool, because I used to for 5 years work on a medic unit. Now I'm no doctor, and all I did was transport patients. Also, my father has had some experience with internal bleeding, and that caused black stool. I don't drink, I don't smoke, all I do is dip tobacco. But, I don't swallow the tobacco. I have no clue what this could be.
View 2 RepliesLower Back Pain With Inflammed Nerve
For a few years my problem has been creeping up on me. Recently, it has become hard to remain standing much less walking. So I finally broke down and went to my doctor. I've had an xray and a MRI, with nothing coming up. I've seen two doctors and my current one gave me a shot in my back that gave me a decent amount of relief for a few weeks. So he set me up for physical therapy. I did that for about three weeks. The basic pattern was that when I usually left for about a good hour or so, I'd feel great. Then the pain and tightness would return and cripple me. So now I'm scheduled for a Radio Frequency Ablation. Which my doctor said will give me significant pain relief for up to 18 months or longer. So now I'm just waiting for my insurance to approve the procedure.
About a month ago my doctor wrote a long letter to my employer allowing me to work from home. I do have medication. Tramadol but if I take two it halves the pain but I still can't walk in a few minutes and on top of that the medication slows me down. If I take three, It puts me to sleep. Then out of nowhere last week, I got a new job. Clearly I haven't told them about my back problems. My start date is three weeks from now and I fear that I might not get insurance approval before then. So I'm debating trying to hit the gym and lose some weight. My doctor said that may or may not help. I am a bit overweight now due to depression and other reasons.
Lower Back Pain - Can Barely Walk
For some years now I've had lower back pain. It has gotten so bad now that I can only walk so far before it tightens up in that part of my back and I have so much pain I can barely walk. Side story, I had a interview today with a nice company downtown and I had to walk across a parking lot, through a mall, and across a street. Lets just say I couldn't make it.
I've had a xray and a MRI, neither showing jack. The latest doctor I saw was certain I had degenerative disc or something but he was shocked when the MRI came up not showing anything. So for now he gave me some Tramadol, set me up for some physical therapy, and a referral to a pain doctor who wants to inject I think steroids into my lower back.
I didn't get the shot yet out of fear and because I have a overactive thyroid and that doctor has me not doing any other meds so he can run some ongoing tests for the next few weeks. So right now I need help. I've posted here out of desperation. I'll admit I've allowed my frustration at work create some home stress and I have not worked out in almost a year. So I am overweight and I'm thinking maybe that might be a big contributor. So I'd like to put some effort into weight loss.

I could possibly be pregnant?
I recently had sex with my partner on Saturday (1-31-15). I know for a fact the he did come inside of me. I began to have a dull ache in my lower back on Monday (2-2-15). I do not have a kidney infection as I went to my dr just last week for a checkup and also had a urine test and everything was fine. I am not about to begin my period, as my last day of my period was last Tuesday (1-27-15). Would really like some answers to help ease my mind until it is closer to time when I should test for pregnancy.
