Women's Health :: Retroverted Uterus - Symptoms/complications?
Recently had an ultrasound for unusual pelvic pain. I learned from the doctor I have a retroverted (backward, as they stated) uterus. I've tried to research this online but there's just so many different opinions on this topic. I know it only occurs in 20% of women. I've heard it can affect getting pregnant and labor complications. And, from experience, I know it's painful. Anyone out there been diagnosed with this?
If so, what symptoms/complications do you have associated with it? Are there things I can do to relieve the pain myself caused by it without pain medications?
Men's Health :: 24 Yo Adult But No Puberty Changes
I'm 24 but there are many things that make me think the last 10 years were all a dream and I'm actually still 14.
- I never grow a single facial hair, so never used a razor on my face to this day.
- My voice didn't change too much, many people still mistake me for a female on the phone.
- My manhood hasn't grown in size, so I still have a D the size of a 12 years old (HAHAHA).
- To compensate for the previous point, fortunately I don't have any libido either. I have no desire to sleep with women, and have zero interest in what other men are obsessed with (porn, sex, etc), pretty much like most pre-puberty boys.
- I have abnormally thin arms like children's, even though I workout frequently, the muscles just don't seem to grow there.
- My face is still that of a 15 yrs old. Though maybe that's just because I have a babyface...?
Men's Health :: 19 And No Signs Of Puberty Yet
I am 19 years old and have yet to see any real effects of puberty on my body. I have a little pubic hair, armpit hair and slight facial hair, but my Penis has yet to really grow and my testicles haven't dropped. My family, on both sides, have men with a lot of facial and body hair, so I find it odd that I do not, I am also worried about my genital growth, as all males are, and am concerned I have not yet gone through the entirety of puberty. This article says that obese children go through puberty later, I have been obese since I was in elementary school, could this be the reason? And if so, will I eventually go through it and have my genitals grow as well? I am trying to lose weight now as well.

View 1 RepliesChild Health :: Precocious Puberty Starting At 4
I am writing this posting to gain some further understanding of the premature puberty.
My daughter was 4 1/2 when I noticed her having proper body odour. The doctor said that some kids just get it and for her to wear deodorant. I was never totally happy with it as it didn't seem normal to me. My daughter has always been tall and slim for her age and I have always been concerned that she is a little too tall. Last summer, aged 5 1/2 I noticed she seemed to have more hairs on her legs and a couple of dark pubic hairs. I took her to a new doctor, as we had moved, and he referred her straight away to the paediatrician at the hospital, as when he looked at her height he thought she was a little too tall for her age.
A year later my little girl has breast buds and is having injections every 4 weeks to halt the puberty. She has had all the blood tests to check her hormone levels which were positive for puberty, as well as her bone age (currently 8 1/2) by x ray. She has had an MRI scan of her brain to check for tumours and ultrasound scan of her pelvis for polycystic ovaries. She has been very good with it all but all she knows is that she is growing a bit too fast and the doctors want to slow her down a bit.
We have been told by the paediatrician that it is best for her to have these injections otherwise she will start her periods, which they do not want her to do. They have also told us that unless they halt the puberty that she could end up short because she has already started her growth spurt which will finish 4 years too early. She is already 4ft 4 at age 6 and in age 9-10 clothes. Her puberty doesn't seem to be linked to obesity though as some papers seem to suggest as her BMI is healthy for her age and height. Unfortunately they don't seem to have an answer as to why this has happened to my daughter.
We are finding the hardest bit is the teenage strops and temper that appear to be coming with it. We have been told to expect her to be more grown up in age and expect the hormone strops because the injections contain a massive overdose of the puberty hormones to confuse her body. She does seem to be struggling with concentration and odd little behaviour issues at school which we feel could be related.
Child Health :: Precocious Puberty At 5 - Breasts And Pubic Hairs
i believe that my daughter who is 9 yrs old has this condition and has been living with it since she was 4 of 5 yrs old.It started with mood swings which i just put down to a bad temper, how wrong was i when the breasts and pubic hair then started to appear.Until 12 1 08 i just thought my daughter was one of the unlucky few that had just started to develop early, but i saw a programme about prococious puberty and realised that my she has more than likely have this condition. Now my worries are for her childhood being no longer as child like as it is for her friends.I am also worried it may give children reason to bully her as it is so perfectly obvious that she is physically and mentally different to others.Unfortunetly we don't know of any one else with this condition so have nobody that understands,my daughter doesn't seem concerned about the changes tha are happening to her so i'm trying to be the same but it's difficult. She is far to young to be going through this.If there is any one that knows what it's like either as parent or was a youngster with the same please get in touch via this space. thanks.
View 12 RepliesWomen's Health :: Periods Will NOT Go Away!
I had a tubal ligation in July after my third child was born (c-section). I bled the normal amount afterwards, about 6 weeks. Then I finally, got my first real period on October 27th, it lasted until December 13th, it came back on December 23rd and it still hasn't stopped, I made an appointment with my gynecologist for the 19th. It's a pretty heavy flow, I have to change my pad and tampon every 3 hours, I can go 6 at night. I'm not anemic, I had my iron checked at the health department when I went for my recertification. It's been 9 weeks of cramping, back aches, and bloating, I'm just really done at this point. I would like someone's opinion on this, has anyone ever had this happen to them? Is it just a hormone imbalance? Does it seem concerning? I don't want to go to my appointment completely oblivious as to what it might be.

View 3 RepliesWomen's Health :: No Period In 1 Year
I'm 17, and I got my period when I was about 13. It would come fairly regularly, but I never really tracked it to the day. About 2 years ago my periods became further apart, every two or so months, but I never really payed attention. I now haven't had my period in over a year, and am beginning to get quite worried. I have been to a doctor (about 6months ago) and had blood and hormone tests, all of which came back fine. My doctor said to come back if I still hadn't had it in a year, which I plan to do as soon as I can get an appointment. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why it might be? I am a virgin, eat completely healthy, exercise every day, am at the middle of healthy weight range for my age/height, and have never been on any birth control. My doctor said he thought it unlikely to be cysts but I'm not ruling it out (just crossing my fingers that it's not). I haven't been too worried as its quite convenient with my very active lifestyle, but i realize I need to get it sorted out.

I had my period was June 2015. I have now taken my period for the first time since then, and it has been going on for 3 weeks and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon. I am 24 years old and have went to my doctor about this, but they said it was normal. Honestly I don't think it is normal but I might be wrong. Has anyone experienced anything like this and know what could be wrong? I do have Crohn's disease but I don't think it has anything to do with that.

I'm 37 and for the last 12 months my period has only ever lasted a day. I only ever wear a panty liner because its that light. Is this normal? Or does it mean that i am become infertile? I am not on any contraception, my periods are regular but i haven't been able to fall pregnant even though i am having regular sex. I haven't been on any form of contraception for the last 3 yrs but prior to that i was using depo provera injections for 2 yrs.

View 7 RepliesSexual Health - Women :: Bleeding After Sex
Hi there, I am an 18 y/o female and I have been taking the birth control Kariva since I was 15 for PCOS. About a month ago, I had intercourse with my boyfriend, and afterwards I bled heavily and cramped really bad for a week. I know this bleeding was not my period because I still had a week to go before I took my pills that would start my period. When it was time for me to get my period, I had light bleeding and it ended a day earlier than it should. We used a condom and I take my birth control between 5pm-6pm every night. Does anyone know what could have happened to me? Am I pregnant? I'm just really worried because now I've become bloated, constipated, and I have pain in my lower left and right sides.
View 2 RepliesSexual Health - Women :: Bleeding Next Day After Sex
I already had my period this month. Literally comes the 1st of the month. Monday I lost my job and yesterday I had sex with my husband. I haven't noticed any spotting all day until just now. I got up to go to the bathroom and when I wiped there was bright red blood.
Normally when I'm with my husband we are very active and try many positions. His favorite being from behind. Yesterday I noticed that he was hurting me, felt like he was hitting my insides and normally that doesn't happen.
I'm just wondering if it's a normal thing in the sense it has happened to other women and maybe it's just from being a little more active.
