I had a vasectomy going on 8 days ago. The procedure was said to have gone well. I bruised quite badly and my scrotum and area up into my groin (mainly right side and above penis) swelled remarkably. The swelling has gone done significantly the last two days and my bruising is looking mildly better. My issue at present is my right testicle is sitting much higher than my left testicle. The left looks to be resting normally, and the right feels almost attached to the base of my penis. There is still some mild swelling above my penis on the right side in the groin. The swelling feels hard in the groin and runs down and meets the top of my right testicle.
you can imagine this is uncomfortable, but not outrageously painful. I can see my mobility being hampered if the right teste does not descend lower in a more normal resting position. Is this a normal experience that eventually resolves itself?
I've had a maybe tooth sized lump on the roof of my mouth behind my left side teeth. I've had this many years and also a smaller one on the other side. I have another lump i can feel under my right ear. I feel my right ear canal is noticeably more closed than the left and this side of jaw alwaysclicks loudly whenever I open it over halfway and close. Both ears are very often itchy on the inside. I don't have pain. I often get a dry throat and feel like vomiting especially in the morning. I wen't to my GP but feel I wasn't taken seriously as I have a history of anxiety. Any explanation to whats going on in this area? They are not visibleView 1 Replies
I had a no scalpel vasectomy procedure done on 10/10/14. I have pain in my left testicle when I walk or any pressure at all gets placed on left testicle. I do not feel any pain when I am sitting, but when I first get up and walk I feel pain in testicle and also above testicle on left side. I also have ejaculated 7 times and still have blood in my semen. Should I be worried? My right side is perfectly fine with no pain at all.View 1 Replies

I'm 16 and for the last few months I felt a lump on the outer side of my left testicle. Its not like it hurts or swollen like what I hear to look for in article and videos I seen. But the lump concerns me and I feel pain on my caves that feel like its being pulled. The lump might be nothing it could be a bug bite that I'm thinking to hard into.View 1 Replies
Just wanted to get a feeling for how other people progressed after surgery. Had mine 5 days ago and have experience no pain at all really. I have no trouble walking or sitting or anything.
There does seem to be a little swelling on the left side, which is a little sensitive, just wondered if anyone else had this and whether it will reduce over time.
34 years male, had a vasectomy a week ago, the left side was quite painful during the op to the point it made me loudly say OW during the procedure. They gave more anaesthetic and carried on. The right side, no issue or pain.
A week on and I am still finding the left side rather painful, there is small swelling above the testicle and its still sore to touch, and aches, especially if i have been on my feet for a bit, which will cause pain when i walk too. I know timescales for healing is different for everyone, but I was hoping that by now I would not feel restricted on my daily activities. I have been fortunate that I have been on leave from work and due back in friday, I have an active job, and really not sure how i will cope with being on my feet for hours and possibly taking a knock to my testicles.
Just wondering really what others experiences are to do with recovery.
I had my vasectomy 3 weeks ago and the left side has healed beautifully. The right side however has a donut shaped wound and string has come out and is hanging.View 3 Replies

I am 39 years old. I have a lump about one and a half to two centimetres in size on the left side of my neck midway between my ear and collar bone. It has been there for at least over a year and a half, possibly longer. It is hard (feels like a round bone) and painless, even when firmly pressed. There is no colouration or abnormality on the skin above or around the lump. I have seen several doctors at the same hospital here in Japan where I live (they keep referring me to different departments within the same hospital), all of whom say it is either a schwannoma or a lymph node tumor. They also tell me that there is a high risk of performing a biopsy (needle or open) because there are a lot of nerves in the area of the neck where the lump is located. All of this has also been explained to me in either low-level English, or fast Japanese which I am not good at. It has been extremely frustrating, as I feel I haven't received a great explanation of any diagnoses or what my options are. I have been referred once again to another doctor, this time in the ENT department, by a doctor in the oncology department whom I saw today, my 4th visit (and department!) to date.View 1 Replies
I developed a hard (bone-like) lump on the left side of my nasal bridge 3 weeks ago after falling asleep on my couch. It's very painful and aches all the time, even without touching it. It's grown a bit bigger as the weeks have gone by.
Now, I have developed symptoms of a sinus infection and chest infection, that won't go away.
I'm constantly tired and my immune system is the lowest it's ever been, seeing as in the last few months, I've needed an operation to remove a pilonidal sinus, my appendix and some ovarian cysts (that were haemorrhaging), and straight after, this!
Other symptoms include -
A loss of appetite
Just feeling blue all the time
Pain under my left eye
Very large lymph nodes in my neck
Is it cancer? Especially if I did nothing to aggravate the bump??
I'm a 19 year old girl, who doesn't smoke or drink.
I would love to know if other people are experiencing this, or if anyone can help me figure out what this is, because I'm sick of being sick and of being in hospital, and would like to get on with life.
I've been spotting for 3 days with a dull pain on the left sideView 2 Replies

The best way about a vasectomy is to NOT have one. Anyone who thinks that they have got away without problems just can not say anything as PVPS can come on at any time until we die I know a friend who is in his mid-seventies and has more pain than in the whole of his life.View 4 Replies
I had a vasectomy 11 days ago. I rested, stayed off my feet mostly for a few days, used ice packs, all the ordered behaviors. My incision still hasn't healed well despite wearing compression shorts for 9 days. On about day 8 I started applying antibacterial cream and breathable sterile pad taped down over the incision to prevent infection (and was also on antibiotics for a sinus infection). There was no sign of infection, no visible sign of hematoma. But the incision remains a bit raw, like a split lip that seeps. The dissolvable stitches mostly came out within 6-9 days.
However, my right teste or epididymis is extremely sore still (I felt better from day 4-8 except when sitting a lot), swollen and riding high. When I sit upright for awhile at work, I also get an acute pain in my right inguinal area about 6" in from the hip bone. It feels like a nerve issue. It twinges and throbs when I stand and today is even making walking painful.
Any thoughts? Acute epididymitis? Sperm granuloma? Nerve damage? Normal recovery? I had a single-incision closed vas with excision, clips and cauterization.
I agree with the copious comments on the web -- the urologists need to do a FAR better job with the honest assessment of recovery. I was under the impression that this would all be largely resolved within 3-4 days. Instead, the past 3 days just keep getting worse with no clear self-diagnosis. I'm calling my urologist again tomorrow and insisting on a checkup....
About two weeks ago I had a dull pain in my knee and I noticed it happened the day after a long walk, then about two days later my left testicle started to have a very dull pain. It's not bad where it stops me from going about my daily life, and I only feel it when I either sit or lay down. It is on and off, and I recently started stretching my inner thigh and pelvic area and recently it has been happening to both testicles. I'm not sure if the testicle pain is actually in pain because when I touch them I don't feel anything or it may be something muscle related because I had the knee issue first. I do feel either the epididymis or vas deferens I'm not sure which it is, but it's right above both testicles, the left one feels thicker than the right, and my left testicle is higher than the right although I'm not sure if it was always like that because only now I notice it. I do not have insurance and before I go see a urologist I would like to have a general idea what I am dealing with.View 1 Replies
Yesterday, I noticed that my left testicle felt sore or had a dull ache. Kinda the feeling after getting hit in the balls. I am 19 years old and not sexually active. It does not hurt to ejaculate or urinate. The pain feels like its in the epididymis on the left side and only there. There is a less intense, sharp pain when I touch and move that area. I just started icing it for a minute or two every so often but it feels like it got more sensitive.View 10 Replies
I'm a teenage boy, and recently while snowboarding i had a pretty bad fall. at first, i had a dull, sharp pain in/ right above my left testicle. i assumed it would go away after a day or so, but its been about two days, and i still feel the same pain whenever i walk or when i'm shifting positions in bed. any ideas what the hell is wrong?View 2 Replies
I'm 15 years old and I know that this feeling is not from intercourse. So to begin, this is a very strange feeling. It's going to be hard to describe but I'll do my best. It is almost as if there is a ghostly feeling in my left side where the left testicle will enter the body. Like how they normally will enter the body when they are cold. Except there is nothing there. Both of my balls are hanging loose but there is just a very irritating and creepy feeling like there is a testicle just sitting there. So I can only describe it as feeling like I have a ghost ball there. Maybe it is the vein I'm not sure. There is also a small ache in the vein as well. Nothing bad but just enough to keep my mind on it and it's starting to drive me insane.View 1 Replies
