Dermatology :: Red (linear) Areas On My Skin
i have had these read areas for a couple of months near to the right armpit and now another one is appearing in the left side. It all started as a small line which got bigger eventually and then 2 others appeared. Now it is happening in the other side. I haven't had any wound or injury in there. Also i'm not allergic to anything. I'm 18 and i haven't suffered any illness. I don't feel any pain but i'm worried from their presence.

I had a Barium swallow done to see if the goiter I have is causing my swallowing issues. My ENT told me today during our follow up visit that the Dr. who did the x ray noted that I have "linear opacity of the right mid thorax and he suggested a get a chest PA and lateral xray. My ENT then sent me to get a xray. I will not know the results until Thursday of this week. What does this all mean. I have had a cough for 3 1/2 weeks, random sharp chest pain on the right side and wheezing when I lay down only. I have my lungs listened to 2 times and I hear "your lungs sound good"...

My 2 yr 4 month old daughter has a small approx 1" - 1 and 1/2" line of small red papules down her right cheek , lateral to the nose (?along a blaschko line). It started v small towards the end of last summer and over a short period extended to approx the size above. There is no history of trauma. It is not itchy and she is totally unaware of it. It is not brown or scaly. Both her parents have atopy ie I have allergic asthma and father has hay fever. I feel it could lichen striatus. A dermatologist saw her yesterday and diagnosed linear epidermal nexus. On reviewing this online I feel she is displaying symptoms more like lichen s. I should add I feel that it has faded somewhat over the last 2 weeks since we stopped using wipes on her face and bubble and soap in the bath. The dermatologist passes this off as a coincidence. Her birth was at 37 weeks,a straightforward c section. She had severe jaundice at birth, treated with uv lights and special care but otherwise a is fine with developmental milestones.

I am 7 months post rectocele and vaginal vault operation all being absolutely fine but last week started with a brownish discharge which has got bloodier. Tonight there is noticeable blood, very brown not fresh blood, and I am sure that when I have just been for a pee that there were stitches down the loo. I have appointment with nurse on Monday anyway because of discharge but can stitches hang around for 7 months ?

Last week I found a lump in the scrotum, a trip to the ultrasound department came back with a "extratesticular mass 1cm x 1,2cm x 1.2cm, likely to arise from the tail of the epididymis" "The lesion shows slight peripheral vascularity on color doppler" testis and everything else was normal
So I was then referred to a urologist, who said it was best to have it removed and analyzed. So I had it removed yesterday and saw the urologist again today. He told me that he had sent it off to be tested, but felt confident it was a Spermatocele, he even listed it on the discharge sheet as the final diagnosis as a Spermatocele.
But when I read up on Spermatocele, it says it's a fluid filled cyst, so surely it would not have shown as a solid mass on the ultrasound? So I was wondering if it was possible for a Spermatocele to appear as a solid mass on an ultrasound. I will get the results next week either way, but would interested to know if it's likely to be what he said?
Right Ovarian Solid Mass 5 Cm
Just was told via ultrasound that I had a fairly large solid mass by my right ovary. I was told endometrioma but that I would need to get it removed. CA 125 came in at only 9 so I feel better by that. I am 46 premenopausal so not sure the accuracy of the CA125 results. Are all endometriomas benign? I have not had endometriosis so not sure why this happened? I had seen doctors in past YEAR for digestive and colon issues that came in clear and I take Tylenol a lot for leg and back aches. I also saw a dermatologist for hair growth and acne. Were any of these side effects for endometriomas? Ovarian cancer? For any of you ladies?

I have 3 thyroid nodules and 1 cyst. I have been advised to have a thyroidectomy. I do not want to go this route yet and am searching for some natural remedies. I have heard of using iodine but to be careful do to the fact that that might enlarge the nodules. I recently found out that I am very iodine deficient from a lab result. I have heard of iodine trapping, whereby the iodine taken in when their is a severe deficiency is immediately 'trapped' and held in the gland in order to preserve some iodine for the use of the thyroid. I would like to proceed with caution and try the iodine therapy.
Does anyone on this board have any experience with successfully dissolving or at least reducing the nodules/cysts?

I usually have a slow ish bowel movement transit time but it's never caused any dramas. (Every 3 days). Always soft.
Last week I seemed to have a lot of wind and go every day. 4 days ago I felt really sleepy and bloated. Since then I have felt off, slightly nauseous, gassy, burpy and my stomach feels bloated yet solid. I also don't have much appetite. Throw up a tiny bit in my mouth twice. No pain just don't feel right!! I keep expecting a bowel movement to clear whatever the issue is but it doesn't seem to.
Should I be worried.. should I just wait this out? Is it trapped wind or a backlog of something i ate that taking ages to digest. Am going to start taking Inner Health Plus tomorrow. Does twisting torso to left unwind the colon?
Ovarian Cancer :: Solid Mass On Ovary
47 with what looks like a solid mass on my right ovary. Have been seen by a reputable gynecologist who doesn't think it is cancer. 2.9 cm. Took a the CA 125 test all normal. At first he thought it was a hemorrhagic cyst but, it has not changed size and has been there for close to 3 months.
No septations, no blood flow. He think it could be a fibroma but, not sure.
Going for an MRI. Worried. No history of any cancer on any side of my family. None of any kind.
Have been going through menopause for a few years. Periods are changing and some heavier than others. Been skipping off an on for a few years.
Cyst, mass is ovoid in shape.
Any ideas? So worried. But hopeful it is nothing. Hoping to avoid surgery.

I went to the dr for a BV infection and 15 days of light bleeding and heavy discharge. I was sent in for an ultrasound and the discovery was:
Thickening of the endometrium with irregular margins measuring at 23 mm at its thickest. also in my right ovary they found a complex solid appearing area measuring 22x17x17mm which they said could reflect a hemmorrhagic cyst though an endometrioma should not be ruled out. I have to wait until March 2nd to see the specialist on this and I must say I am beyond freaking out out on this... any advice

I've had a maybe tooth sized lump on the roof of my mouth behind my left side teeth. I've had this many years and also a smaller one on the other side. I have another lump i can feel under my right ear. I feel my right ear canal is noticeably more closed than the left and this side of jaw alwaysclicks loudly whenever I open it over halfway and close. Both ears are very often itchy on the inside. I don't have pain. I often get a dry throat and feel like vomiting especially in the morning. I wen't to my GP but feel I wasn't taken seriously as I have a history of anxiety. I'm getting a little desperate here. For the last four days every time I attempt to eat solid food within 20 minutes I get extremely severe pain that begins behind the lower section of my rib cage on the left side of my body. The pain continues to increase and within minutes all of the muscles in my mid back start cramping. The symptoms continue for anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. When they ease, I'm left feeling nauseated and my back feels bruised from the cramping. I can drink liquids without any adverse effect as long as I drink them slowly, but even minimal attempts at solid food cause problems. For instance, I was able to have a bowl of tomato soup eaten slowly over the course of an hour without having problems, and I was able to eat a bowl of chicken broth very slowly without triggering any pain. However, when I attempted to eat a bowl of cream of chicken soup with small chicken chunks in it, I got the pain and back cramps. Even something as simple as a piece of bread or a few bites of saltine crackers is enough to trigger the pain. The doctors have no clue what's wrong. One of them even tried to say it was gas. Umm, no, it's not gas. And I don't think it's an ulcer. I've been on Prilosec for years for GERD, and the pain doesn't feel like it's actually in my stomach. It feels higher and more to the left than where my stomach is. Has anyone else had to deal with anything like this?
