Dental / Oral :: Breath Smells Like Poo

Ok you guys I started having chest pains last week. I went to the ER and was admitted overnight for observations. Well my Dr wrote a prescription for several different meds including one for my blood pressure, cholesterol and some other stuff. All of my blood work was negative, as well as my EKG. So today I went in for a follow-up and he did another EKG and it was normal. My blood pressure and heart rate was normal. I told him I did not get the prescriptions filled . So he went on to say he didn't think I was having heart problems. So he asked me of some other symptoms that I have and I told him about the nausea after eating , the stomach pain that radiates to my ribs , the bad breath and white coated tongue. And the fact that I was diagnosed with acid reflux but the medication is not working. So he said he thinks it is my gallbladder. So he has ordered a ct scan of my abdomen. I really believe this is the problem I have with the bad breath and body odor.I hope and pray this is the answer to my problem. This could also be beneficial for you guys as well. GOOGLE symptoms of gallbladder disease and if it cause bad breath. I never knew why I keep getting the white coated tongue. So it is digestive related.I will keep you informed. But in the meantime go to your Dr and ask him to check your gallbladder , and be persistent.

Oral And Dental :: Gum Growing Over Wisdom Tooth?

So on my back right wisdom tooth, furthest one back, the gum is visibly moving over the wisdom tooth. I've had this before quite mildly, but at the moment I appear to have irritated it further and so now every jaw movement I can feel the tooth scratching the gum which causes pain.

I'm not sure what to do about it, my electrical toothbrush in that area obviously irritates it so thinking I should avoid touching it at all for now, is this just swelling or inflammation which will go down eventually? Anything I can do to speed it up or soothe, a particular mouthwash or a DIY remedy?

Oral And Dental Problems :: Lump On Tongue

I'm a 29 year old female. When I was about 22/22 I noticed a lump inside my tongue. It is my right hand side just off the center and is about 1cm back from the top. It is hard and feels sausage shaped. It can be felt with my fingers and goes further back into my tongue. I can't feel how far back. I have now noticed a small painless spot underneath My tongue right where the lump is. Recently my throat has felt very achy and strained. I have put this down to anxiety as recently I have been anxious over every little thing and can't stop clenching my jaw but last night felt a lymph node is swollen on that side. I have had a few visits to the go lately with various things (breast lump which turned out was from finishing breastfeeding, pain in lower left abdomen which I'm in the process of putting a sample in and going back next week to see about a scan and the other week I went with pain, muscle twitching and weakness mainly down my right side which I'm supposed to be seeing another doctor about when she is back off holiday) I think if I go with something else when all these other issues aren't resolved they are going to think I'm attention seeking or a hypochondriac.

Oral / Dental Health :: Constant Sore Throat

It feels like I smoked too much but I quit over 4 months ago. This sore throat has been around for almost a month and sometimes it's hard to swallow. It's not super painful but it's definitely not comfortable. There's really nothing else I can say to describe it. It just feels like your normal run of the mill sore throat.

Dental / Oral :: Acid Reflux That Affects My Teeth Badly

I have pretty severe acid reflux that affects my teeth badly.. 7 months ago one of my back teeth crumbled leaving about a quarter behind. My dentist reconstructed the tooth out of white filling.. I've only had it in for 6 months and it's turning a brown colour and it absolutely stinks? I know it's the filling as I can smell it if I run my finger across it.. I'm also getting pain under the tooth.. Not extreme but a really annoying dull ache.

Oral / Dental :: Strange Nerve Sensation From Tooth To Chest...?

It's not a pain really, just a very intense sensation. I've gotten it before when getting a dental cleaning...I don't know what part they hit but it shoots down my neck into my chest. This doesn't happen everytime I get a cleaning--in act it's only happened maybe 3 times total.

And I also have gotten it--and this is a bit embarrassing but pertinent here--when nipples are stimulated. I even read somewhere else that some girl got some weird tooth nerve sensation when her bf was playing with her in that area. Not quite the same thing but still never related.

I phoned my dentist today b/c I felt some sensation IN my tooth left side bottom, as that's where the sensation comes from if it starts in the mouth. She said to come right down. They took Xrays and looked at my teeth and found nothing. However they did say I would need a crown and a filling replaced at some point on that side of my mouth, bottom. But she didn't think that would cause this feeling. She told me it's nothing to worry about. I asked if it could be a nerve and she said that the nerve from the tooth branches out into other nerves, so yes maybe.

That's all well and good but it's very annoying to say the LEAST. Once that nerve(s) is stimulated, it takes maybe a minute to go away. However today, I still feel a sort of 'tickle' in that area (chest) where the nerve sensation was. Plus the feeling in my tooth is new.

Anyone know which nerves these are or why they're sensitive all the sudden? Or even why touching those areas stimulate it?

Oral Lichen Planus Can Lead To Cancer? Cheek Sores With White Lines

I think I have Oral Lichen Planus but I can't get a doctor to confirm it.  I have had mouth sores in my cheek area since 2009 and now my gums are very red and inflamed and have been told that I have white lines on my inside cheek area.  When I go to a dentist to have my teeth cleaned, I am always turned away because they don't like the looks of my mouth sores.  In 2013 I had doctor swab my mouth and send for testing and also did blood work but was told nothing showed up. I think she was looking for bacterial infection.  In the mean time, I continue with a very sore mouth.

I have a hard time eating anything because the sores are next to my bottom back teeth so eating irritates the sores a lot at night I sometimes bite the area with sores due to swelling so they pretty much never heal.

I recently went to a new dentist and she too wouldn't work on my teeth but she gave me details as to her concerns and told me to get checked for an Auto Immune disorder.  I have since been to a doctor and had blood taken to check for that and then they sent me to  ENT.  He mentioned Oral Lichen Planus which was the first time I have heard of it.  He wants to do a biopsy and then he mentioned a steroid rinse.

I also researched OLP and I have all the symptoms listed so I just don't understand how going to doctors since 2010 about the mouth sores, no one can figure it out?  Am I finally heading in the right directions for diagnosis?  I scares me that it has been left un treated for 5 years when I read that sometimes those with OPL can lead to mouth cancer.

Sjogren's Syndrome Progression To Hodgkins And Vasculitis

I was diagnosed with Sjogren's about 13 years ago and I am now 53. Initially the dry eyes/mouth was a real problems but have learned to control moisture pretty much by medication and self-help (I prefer the self-help but appreciate medical help occasionally). 5 years ago I had Non-Hodgkins lymphoma which presented as a lump in the roof of my mouth (successfully treated with radiotherapy which also slightly improved my saliva production). Now all-clear. Since November 07 I have had numbness in my feet and then March 08 very red swollen ankles/feet and red spotty rashes (various locations). I was referred to the rheumatologist who has now diagnosed Vasculitis so I am on a 6 week steroid dose. Fingers crossed!! I just wanted people to 'be aware' that other symptoms could possibly occur and to be aware that they are connected to Sjogren's (I have been given very little useful info in 13 years!). As someone said before it's one thing having this but totally another trying to explain it to people. It is one of those 'unseen' medical problems which the sufferers have to deal with pretty much on their own. Except that we have forums!! Let's talk and discuss ideas, self-help. Keeping positive has got to be better than letting the symptoms 'get to us'. My main concern at the moment is how this may affect my full time employment - is this recognised as a disability here as it is in the United States?
