Acid Reflux :: Possibly GERD Or Just Bad Anxiety?

I will post my anxiety issue in the anxiety forum in a moment.. but wanted to see the thoughts on this here.

I am a 29 male.. and have had issues with acid reflux alot in the last year.

A few months ago I stopped drinking large quantities of beer.

I became an alcoholic after my father passed away from esophageal(spelling) cancer stage 4.. we caught it at stage 3.. because at 65.. he didn't want to get the tests done not being on medicare. (He never smoked, had reflux or drank heavy)
anyways.. the reflux I noticed became bad after I stopped drinking.. it's probably why I can't drink anymore because my stomach and throat burns after one sit.

So.. I will not say my life story as I am on my phone.. and because you probably don't want to hear it.

Last year I had an endoscopy done... and a colonoscopy. By the same gastroenterologist. I am thinking of getting a second opinion.. he noticed that my esophagus was in the shape of a diamond and red. but that wasn't a concern.. i told him that I have reflux, regurgitation, excessive mucous, itchy throat, burning throat and mouth, a constant foul taste, a sharp pain after eating right behind my sternum, nausea, lump in the throat, and a feeling like I have allergies.. but in my throat and mouth... Every day....

he told me this was normal and drink more water.. and the only concern he had was making me get weekly hemorrhoid treatments.. he was the only gastroenterologist that accepted medical.. he never wanted to see me again for anything else.. so one day I asked him to discuss my issues with my throat.. and he turned me away and said a different doctor..

So.. before I find a different doctor I was wondering if those were signs of gerd or lpr?

I am taking prevacid 24hr. ranitidine 150 mg 2x Day. A ton of maalox and tums.. and still constantly feeling reflux like.

So I'm wondering if it is just anxiety and stress related via my dad passing and quitting alcohol at the same time.

Infections :: Lymph Node, Nausea And Fever Possibly Due To TB Medicines

I had a swollen lymph node on my neck side, accompanied by fever. In 2 weeks, the lymph node cured on its own but the fever was not going, so i went to the doctor. The doctor performed test on my skin and the test reacted, it was red 15 mm. The doctor told me it was tuberculosis, but I don't have any cough or TB symptoms. I only have fever. He gave me 6 month TB medicine. I am taking isoniazid and other medicine for 2 days, but it makes me more sick with nausea and fever. What should I do? Should I take it ? Do I have TB really? My lymph node cured on its own.

Reflux Oesophagitis :: Suffering From Diarrhea And Nausea With GERD?

I have just been told I have gerd after getting an endoscopy. My symptoms were abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea all after eating (within 20 minutes). Over the years I would get an episode of this after a meal once every two months. But as of two months ago I get it after every meal. My doctor put me on dexilant and now just switched me to Prilosec because of my insurance . When I first took dexilant I had bad diarrhea for a day, now that I am one day on Prilosec I am having bad diarrhea and nausea again. Could this be because of the switch? Also has anyone experience nausea and diarrhea with gerd? I don't get heartburn. Maybe once in a while. Also does anyone's gerd get bad and cause diarrhea when anxious or in uncomfortable situations that make you uneasy?

GERD (acid Reflux) :: Nausea And Dizziness With Nexium?

I have just read all the posts about the acid rebound from Nexium. Does anyone else suffer with nausea and dizziness with nexium? I want to get off it but I am very apprehensive as it has been a security blanket for me for years. I feel so sick right now that anything would be an improvement. I am going to leave off it slowly but I think it is making me sick. I am having the exact same symptoms that I went onto Nexium to relieve. I am going to try the dgl and I will get some hci tablets. Does anyone know if they work as well as the apple cider vinegar. How about digestive enzymes. Does anyone know about those and when to take them with the dgl and hcl

GERD (acid Reflux) :: Nausea, Vomiting, Burning In My Stomach

I'm 20 years old and been dealing with really bad acid reflux for about 6 years now. For about a year now i've been on the depo provera shot which has seemed to slow down my flare ups. When this all started i would get sick every time i started my period for me in the morning as soon as i get up. Since the depo shot i've been getting sick every three months right before my next shot. These flare up usually lasted about a week and a half at most(which really sucks cuz it affects my life in every way imaginable). My symptoms when im sick is usually nausea, vomiting, burning in my stomach, burning in my throat, fatigue, sharp lower pains, and sometimes it gets so bad because i'm scared to get sick i have panic attacks. When i was 14 doctors found an ulcer cover 90% of my stomach. That was seen doing a endoscopy. I was still having issues shortly after leaving the hospital, so talked with my doctor and had a laparoscopy scheduled. Did that and they found i had built up scar tissue on my female parts cant remember every detail as its been a long time ago and i'm always sick when they finally want to try something. So anyways they also found a cyst near my belly button. It seemed as if their findings was not a big deal. So down the road still getting sick i had my appendix removed, and that didn't change a thing. I've had numerous ultra sounds, x rays, blood test, cat scans and i'm probably forgetting more. I'm just hoping someone will have a possible answer since i been too more doctor i can count on both my hands and toes and that haven't a clue.. Just to put it out there i am not a liquor drinker, i smoke cigarettes and marijuana. I also do not drink caffeine anymore for the past 3 years basically. !

Gallbladder :: Living With 23 Mm Gallstone For 3 Years

I've been having a 23 mm stone at the outlet of my GB for 3 years now, and first I thought I could cope with it by sitting on a low fat diet, drinking herbal teas (quebra pedra) etc., but lately the pain flare ups have increased in frequency from less than once a month to every 3 days and I've decided to go for an operation on GB removal, which is planned within the next couple of months.

But I am still hesitant for several reasons:

1. Carelessness of the doctors - the impression is that they don't want to know anything about your problem (no MRI, no ultrasound - nothing) just cut your GB out.

2. After-effects - infection, hernia*), damage to other organs.

3. I think that if it's possible to live without operation - it's best not to have it.

So to cut the long story short - I wonder if there are people on this forum or your friends who have been living with GB stones for a really long time (like 10 years or more) and if you have - how do you cope?

Severe Anxiety Possibly Leading To Over Dependency

I am posting this in the wrong area. My SO is a young adult and has had severe anxiety and depression for most of their teen years. They was doing better, but recently the anxiety has been worse. Almost everyday they have anxiety or how they describe as panic attacks. My SO feels extremely on edge like flight or flight and insanely nauseous. Lately my SO says they only feel better when im around because when they feel this way they want me to get food to try to eat and other things and form of comfort. And when I leave the anxiety gets so much worse to where my SO begs me to come back to their house to help them. Every time my SO says it's life or death and my SO says they worry people won't be there to take care of them. I've always been as supportive as possible with my SO's anxiety being as I have it as well, but I feel we've crossed over into something else. I'm worried this spiraling too quickly and my SO is growing too dependent. I would just like some advice or experiences from people who have this cross from anxiety to heavy dependency on others.

Trigeminal Neuralgia - Quite Possibly The Result Of Dental Work

After many dental visits and x rays, I was referred to a Head,Neck and Ear clinic where the doctor believes I have Trigeminal Neuralgia-quite possibly the result of dental work. He has referred me to a neurologist and am awaiting that appointment. I was issued an rx for pain management but have decided to wait and see the neurologist for further info and treatment, as I react to so many drugs.

Anyone else suffering from this? And if so, can you please relate your experiences? Am in somewhat of a fog right now, trying to wrap my head around how this can come from dental procedures.

Lymphoma :: Cold And Pneumonia, Possibly Due To Persistent Lymph Node

I've had a swollen lymph node under my jaw on the left side of my neck for over a month now. It's very hard and it hurts. I was tested for mononucleosis and it came out positive, but I have had none of the symptoms except for fatigue and the lymph node. Today, I found a very small but also hard bump on the back of my neck, very close to the left side. I was reading online that this could be related to the fact that I have a swollen lymph node. I was also told by my doctor that my spleen has gotten very large. I know all this is because I have mononucleosis, but is there any way I could be having something worse? I'm a teen female if that helps with any answers. Also, the lymph node is not getting any smaller and I've taken three different antibiotics given to me by my doctor. Also, I have had a cold and pneumonia since i got the swollen node.

Possibly Parathyroid Disease - Painful Joints, Unable To Focus, Tired, Dizzy, Tingling Legs

My blood calcium level is 10.6. So far what I've read on the Internet it looks like parathyroid disease but I'm not sure. I just tested again on calcium and the parathyroid but I won't know anything till next week and I'm going out of town tomorrow and I know I won't be able to enjoy myself like I should worrying about this. So I have all the symptoms like painful joints, unable to focus, tired, dizzy, tingling legs and feet and easily set off. But what worries me is that a year ago it was discovered I have an enlarged pituitary gland that I haven't followed up on and I've read something about that. Also I am a smoker so does anyone know if I would feel like this if its cancer. I've had issues with my neck for awhile. It was swollen a couple of years ago to where it felt like a golf ball in the back. Now it feels tight in the front. Could it be throat cancer?

Nausea :: Past Few Months, Random Nausea Lasts A Day Or Two

Over the last few months I've been randomly getting nauseated. It usually lasts a day or two and only has actually caused me to vomit a few times. However recently it has become more severe, and more common and even more recently has become paired with an uncomfortable dizziness and weakness in my legs. My mother believed it was morning sickness so I took a pregnancy test which proved negative and haven't missed any periods in the 3 months since I was last sexually active so I'm fairly certain I am not pregnant.

Thyroid :: Nodule Or GERD?

Had an ultrasound done after finding a lump in my throat. It is a mixed cystic and solid thyroid nodule 2.7cm x 1.6cm x 1.9cm which demonstrates peripheral vascularity, appears nearly isoechoic to thyroid gland and is partially surrounded by a hypoechoic halo or rim.

My family dr sent me to ENT who I saw today. He didn't say much about nodule except for he would like to biopsy it in 2 weeks. After asking me a series of questions he also wants to rule out GERDS. He also wants to repeat an antibodies test I had done back in May when I was having hypo symptoms. No antibodies and was on higher range for hypo, 3.75 and 3.99 . I also had a saliva test back in May and revealed I had very low below the range of cortisol in morning, noon and lowest range for afternoon and midnight. I have had some changing in my throat. Kind of sore a lot and a constant phlegm and cough, which I guess GERDS does from what ENT said. What does he think about nodule?

Recovering From GERD With Breathing Issues

I've been diagnosed with GERD. Going for endoscopy this week. Feeling better since it started back in January. But now I am extremely weak. I am tired all the time. I do have a lot of responsibilities, but just cannot seem to get enough rest. Been taking vitamin B12 complex, everyday. That helps but wears off. Had a sore throat that came and went within 4 days after I attacked it vigorously as soon as I felt it. I changed my diet. Sometimes it feels like I am struggling to take in breaths.
