Propranolol :: Dizziness, Neck And Upper Back Pain, Tingling Gums, Sore Neck Glands
Had stroke 13 years ago. Have suffered anxiety ever since. Mainly dizziness. Recently came off citalopram after 8 years, started on sertraline. Never felt worse in my life......including severe diarrhea. Dr now stopped sertraline and put me on propranolol one week ago. Still feel awful and dizziness possibly worse. Will anything ever work?

I have been on 100 mg once or twice a day for a long time, originally after a foot operation. Advised to keep on, to help arthritis pain and after effects of hip operations etc. The dose was raised to 300 mg at night and 100 mg twice a day. I always feel rather odd and have muscular convulsions over a long time, before the dose increased. Currently have shoulder aches and stiff neck with headache, put down as tension. Has anyone had similar problems, could it be the gabapentin, - so difficult to tell?

I have had pain on the left side of my neck for about three years now. About 4 months ago I felt a Marble size bump on the same side as my neck pain. My neck pain does not stop me from doing things. I can move it side to side and up and down etc. The neck pain is more like a pain that doesn't go away but like I said it doesn't stop me from doing things. What could this be? Can anyone help me with this? I have a doctors appointment at the end of September.

I went to physical therapy for TMJ 4 days ago, I'm 31 years old. While massaging my jaw the physical therapist went on to my neck, and without me knowing out of nowhere cranked my neck super hard and it popped 3 times on the left side. My neck has been stiff on the left ever since with some pain and when I walk I hear loud clicking crackling/pop rocks sounds in my neck right before it meets the shoulders. Did he injure me? anyone else experience this? will it go away.
I was so upset he cracked my neck like that he isn't even a chiropractor but said afterwards when I got upset with him that he knows chiropractor movements.
I've never been to a chiropractor so I don't know how it compares but it seems really hard and forceful when he did it. Its weird that when I move my neck I don't hear the sound, only when walking. Someone please advise me on this.
Also what type of doctor should I see for this issue, i'm going to schedule an appointment tomorrow, but don't know the type of doctor who would be best. My GP just gave me ibuprofen and said it should go away on it's own.

I've had chronic severe sinusitis for a couple years now and now am bedridden from it from being too weak and toxic feeling. Anyway, Most of my infection is on the left side and I have swelling on the left side of my neck and swelling/stiffness on the back of my neck too.

This just started happening to me about a week ago. I was having intercourse with my girlfriend when I noticed a slight pain in the back of my skull that ran down a muscle into my neck. I know we're all different but due to neck/shoulder/arm/face pain with radiating pain to my arms at times I was previously prescribed pregabalin, that gave me heart palps and rls, now tried gabapentin and I think I had some sort of adverse reaction to it as my side effects were quite severe so I'm wondering where to go from here re meds. I've tried amitriptyline but not for long however the short time I took it it did nothing. Was thinking of trying nortriptyline as an alternative as read side effects not so bad.
Does anyone have any experience with Any of these 4 drugs or an alternative and if you've tried nortriptyline how well it did work vs it's side effects.
Or if anyone has found a miracle drug please let me know. I think key for me is muscle relaxation and nerve burning reduction.
Headache And Dizziness With Neck Pain
Has anyone else experienced weekly headaches that just seem to last no matter how much sleep you get or water you drink? I also have neck pain in which I have already seen both chiropractor and physical therapist for. When I have these headaches, I feel pressure behind my ways so intense I can't stand bright lights. On top of all this I am dizzy, however, my balance is totally fine. I have already been to an ENT specialist and had an MRI, etc. Only thing I haven't moved onto is a neurologist because I already am racking up my medical bills and yes I have health insurance but a crappy one at that! Please help. Has anyone else been experiencing this and if so, what did you do to rid it?

The thing is my neck makes a grinding noise all day and every day , is this normal ? And my lower back is so unbelievably in chronic pain , I can't do anything without it hurting , it gets to the point where my back locks itself and I can't move and every now and then my back goes into a spasm and I end up in hospital because I go into shock and my lips turn blue , but all they do is inject me with some relaxant and send me home , I've asked my dr to get me an X-ray but all they give me is more and more morphine .

I'm 22 years old 6 foot 150 pounds..3 days ago I started having chest pain on left side and my ribs are sore to touch, feels like a knife if u push on them, about 3 hours later my left arm and neck started hurting (my arm feels heavy) and really sore below my left collar bone..no other symptoms except maybe lack of energy..I've tried ibuprofen..aspirin with no help..4 years ago I had a stress test and ekg and they found a mild case of mitral valve prolapse and I was put on 25mg of atenolol...what should I do? I don't have insurance so I don't want to rush to er if it's not life threatening..it's been going on for going on 4 days

I am a 20 year old female that has been experiencing pain in the right side of my neck that radiates down my right arm to my fingers for a week or so. This is often accompanied by a burning sensation under my right armpit and down my arm. Today this has been replaced by a tingling sensation on my chest, jaw, arm and occasionally my upper abdomen. Last night, I abruptly developed constant, fairly severe pain on the left side of my head radiating from my jaw (right in front of my ear) to the point where I could feel it in my left upper teeth, and up the back of my neck to the base of my skull. My left ear also felt full, and my throat was constricted. It continued this way for several hours at work until I got home, took Ibuprofen, and iced it. I also noticed a swollen lump (probably lymph node?) halfway down the left side of my neck, towards the back. The lymph nodes under my jaw on the left also feel swollen. Today, it isn't hurting constantly anymore, but the ear fullness and throat constriction is still present, along with the swelling of the lymph nodes. All of these symptoms are localized to the left side. I have a doctor's appointment in a few days, but until then I was wondering if anyone had experienced something similar?

I have been suffering from nerve pain that ran down my left arm and shoulder and fingers from a bulging disc in the C-5- C-6 so i had been taking oxycodone 10-325 but when we decided to do surgery we cut that down to oxycodone 5/325 since that is what the surgeon would be giving me after surgery so i said okay no problem. I had surgery on 2/26 of this year, But after surgery come to find out he dropped me to a hydrocodone 7.5/325 and can't understand why the 7.5 hydro's weren't working to take away the pain. I had been having a lil bit of pain on the right shoulder before surgery, but nothing like what i had been having in the left so the surgeon side well "let's hope this will fix this side too" well it didn't. In fact it made the right side worse, I now feel like i have a hot knife twisting at the base of my neck whenever i turn my neck to the right or left, which in turn runs down into my shoulder blades and into my right shoulder which makes my shoulder feel like someone it trying to tear my shoulder off at the cuff along with weakness in my right arm which i never had before .. I have also started to notice a tingling in my right pinky finger and ring finger. I have told him over and over about this but all he does is get the X-rays and says the fusion is looking fine. and my primary can't do anything since he told her he would treat my pain for 6 weeks and he is refusing to do anything about the pain what so ever. i am to my wits end and any advice would be welcomed.

I have Spor/Arth. and have been treated for over thirty years.
Almost every joint has been affected over the years,operations to hands,toes and knees.
Diagenic stopped after 20 years which put my body into shock,now taking Tramacet for the pain.
A major problem now is pain generating in the neck and into my entire head and into my ears nose and face.
I can feel small lumps under the skin and the head pain is severe.
Also heavy sweating from the neck.
I also have a heart condition,thyroid dysfunction Chronic fatigue syndrome.and kidney problems.
There is a number of medication I cannot take because of the other
conditions I have.
I have had acupuncture,physio,and steroid injections but the head pain is so severe even to the touch.
