Bowel Disorder :: Piles - Difficulty Urinating - Unable To Empty Bladder
I've had hemorrhoids for over 10 years now, though they rarely cause me any bother. Most of the time, I'm affected by the piles that you can feel on the surface of your derriere (the 'bag' type that you often have to push back in). However, rarely, I also seem to get the 'golf-ball' sensation hemorrhoids (I'm not sure if they are technically the same type) whereby you feel like you have a small ball lodged up your butt, that can occasionally be painful too. It's this type I'm actually suffering from at the moment, but my main problem is that it's been affecting how I pee for well over a week now.
When I urinate I find I can't push all the way (I believe because of the hemorrhoids), and so I'm unable to fully empty my bladder when I go to the toilet. This gives me the sensation of wanting to urinate a lot more, sometimes constantly. I've had this before, so I imagine it's a symptom of piles, though it's never happened to me for so long. Has anyone shared this experience? I've found very little mention of hemorrhoids affecting urination on the Internet

View 8 RepliesBowel Disorder :: Timing & Dosage Of Citrucel - Internal Rectal Prolapse
I had a cystocele repair with mesh 5 weeks ago. However, the urogynecololgist surgeon did not repair the internal rectal prolapse or small rectocele as he did not believe it was necessary! (Despite my MRI defecography & anal manometry showing these items) I previously had a enterocele repair & hysterectomy with mesh 3 years ago which came completely undone probably from my continued straining.
My new rectal surgeon says he cannot even perform tests at this stage due to my recent surgery. My bladder is already moving down again - essentially undoing the surgery due to straining.
My questions is: The rectal surgeon says to take 1 tbsp of Citrucel a day. I am having difficulty sleeping due to the pressure of feeling of full bowels/incomplete emptying/gas. Should i take 1 tbsp in the am or 1/2 in the am & 1/2 a little later until I get used to it? I've already lost 5 lbs (which I cannot afford to lose) & can sleep only 3 hours a night. Trying to get on a schedule where I don't have the fullness during the night. My diet is already high in fiber although it has been making me nauseous. That's why the surgeon wants me to take citrucel.

Penis Shaft Is Swollen, Can't Empty Bladder
I have been suffering from pain and a swollen feeling down the shaft of my penis for 2 months now, along with this it is red and puffy at times around my penis glans, I have seen a doctor 5 times and been cleared of any STI but still no joy. It is worse just after sex and becomes very sore and red.
Also after I urinate I can't empty my penis fully without having to squeeze it out, it feels like the shaft of my penis is swollen.
Chronic Prostatitis Or BPH? Unable To Empty Bladder
For the last couple of weeks, I’ve had this uncomfortable feeling of not being able to empty my bladder completely. I also have a delay of hesitation when I’m urinating. I told my doctor about that, and he said that I probably have BPH or chronic prostatitis. I’m not sure what’s the difference between those two conditions.

I had a prolapsed cervix and bladder a year after my hysterectomy. It is now going on two years post surgery. I am still having stitches break thru at the top of my vagina where my cervix was removed. It hurts! I'm going to the Doctor Monday, but very scared. I have moved and this will be the first time seeing him. Do any of you know what I will have to look forward too? What might he do?

For a couple months now I've been feeling this pressure in my rectum. No blood but sometimes an itchy or uncomfortable sensation happens at my rectum. This all happened after a time of extreme stress if that matters. But last month I wasn't passing stool easily and it felt weird but when I had a bowel moment there was still a bit of pressure in my rectum! I didn't feel anything protruding from my anus...just like tissue pushing out when there was no more poop. Today as I sat on the toilet only a small amount of poop came out but it felt like there was more so I felt down there and it was like little lump on the outside of my rectum and tissue pushing through! I'm so scared I've never had hemorrhoids before I can't take this pressure/pushing out feeling on my anus!!

I have an upcoming anterior repair booked for April. I have recently realised I will have to have at least 6 weeks off to heal. My job is a sales assistsant in a ladies boutique. My husband is off with me for the first 2 weeks. My question is what can I do after this time. Will i be able to walk around, walk upstairs, make a cuppa, or even go for a run in the car (not driving i know) I understand how recovery is the key to this surgery being a success and I certainly dont want it to fail.My husband is brilliant at home so i have no worries about him doing the chores at home while i rest up. Any other advice would be wonderful from you ladies who have been through it. Positive stories welcome lol. I have a wonderful surgeon who i completely feel will do a fantastic job.
View 42 RepliesRectal Prolapse After Constipation - Heals Itself?
I was constipated for 2-3 days and i started to have rectal prolapse for like a week and the first day i got it it hurted really bad that i couldn't really move a lot i would need to move very slowly i went to the hospital and the doctor said eat more fiber and drink plenty of water and when it falls back down just push it up so then i did. After a few days like right now it doesn't really hurt as much much it bleeds (not dark blood but like light blood) now when i push it back up gently it does go back up but when i move my finger it slides back down (btw i could move a lot faster now) my question is how will it heal itself?
View 1 RepliesAnal Sex After The Rectal Prolapse Surgery?
I'm a 19 year old male and I've suffered from constipation for as long as I can remember. I never really bothered to do anything about it because it never really affected me to a degree that I couldn't put up with it. Although, for a while now it's becoming an issue because every time I go to the bathroom I end up with a rectal prolapse which sometimes goes back in by itself, but sometimes I have to put it back myself. It's not painful, but I don't want this to be a problem for me anymore and I definitely don't want this problem getting worse.
I have read that surgery is used to fix the issue, but I was wondering if there were any non-surgery alternatives? Also, if I do have to have the surgery, would this prevent me from being able to receive anal sex in the future?

Have not yet started any medication but would inquire and answers to it is operation but some say there is medicine for it without operation.
If its there tell me the name and the dosage if applicable. This is from August 2012 to date.
Rectal Prolapse - Incontinence Pad For Discharge From Anus?
Hi,
I have a partial prolapse, my mucosal layer of rectum prolapses during bowel movement and then goes back in.
I have went to almost 4 surgeons, and they said that I don't need surgery, just keep my bowel habits normal and avoid straining, everything will be alright.
but, i am also suffering with a discharge from anus, I was thinking of using Incontinence pads, I saw Prevail's men's pads and thought I should use them.
But, Is it safe, to use disposable pads for a rectal prolapse, I mean, I have read various articles about the toxins that disposable pads contain, my prolapsed rectum might come in contact with the pad itself, can toxins be absorbed into my body via the rectum?
Rectal Prolapse? Constipation And Pressure In Rectum
I've been having low back pain and pressure in my rectum for a month or so now. I've also been constipated for a couple weeks. I hate feeling this pressure could it be some sort of prolapse? I'm only 21 and never have had any kids or anything. Or could it just be constipation. I've been stressed a lot lately.
View 2 RepliesGenitourinary Prolapse :: Rectocele Repair And Midurethral Sling - Any Info?
I have a rectocele and I am getting it repaired next month. When I saw the surgeon she said I also had some stress incontinence based on the urodynamics study that she did. I know I do, but it isn't bad. Sometimes a drop when I sneeze but it's not awful. She said it might get worse after the rectocele repair and suggested a mid-urethral sling. It is made of a synthetic mesh.
Any suggestions on resources for information about this procedure? Right now I don't feel like the symptoms are bad enough to risk side effects but I don't have enough information to decide.
Genitourinary Prolapse :: Feeling Sore And Blood After A&P Repair (16 Weeks)
Had A&P repair done 16 weeks again, had a few up and downs along the way but on the whole things were going ok, that is until last week, I have started to feel sore underneath and quite uncomfortable and this morning have noticed a bit of blood, nothing major, not had a period since last February so hoping it's not that.
Has anyone else expericaned this? I did call the consultants office yesterday but was told that I have now been discharged back to my dr, so would need to see him.
