Anxiety :: Withdrawal From Seroquel And Now Xanax

I started taking 50mg of Seroquel in December for sleep. Shortly after I began to feel as if I couldn't breathe. I went to the ER and they checked me out and told me it was anxiety. So I saw My nurse practitioner and she prescribed Vistaril 50 mg 3x a day. I room it for a week. Still had the same symptoms. I figured out It was The seroquel. I tried to call the nurse but they are never available so I did not do my homework on this med and quit it cold Turkey. Four days later I was so sick I could barely stand up. Migraine head ache nausea, shaky you name it. So I went on 25mg a day. I got I'm touch with my doctor she told me to fast taper off of Vistaril in 6 days then go off the Seroquel because after 2 weeks of being on 25mg I was still sick. So I tapered off Vistaril and went off Seroquel On a Thursday. Still very sick every day. By Sunday I was in a total panic. I went to the ER and they prescribed xanax .5 mg 3x a day. I had enough for 7 days. They told me to city Buspar which I take at 10mg 3x a day in half and take the xanax. Which I did. The panic subsided but I still felt somewhat sick. Now I finished the xanax yesterday. I upped my Buspar back up to 10 mg 3x a day. They told me I would have no withdrawal

. I. Sicker than ever. Fighting not to vomit, heartburn, itchy eyes, panic, neck ache, tremors, headache. What do I do now? Is this going to get worse? How much longer am I going to be sick? My nurse prescribed me lexapro and upped Buspar to to 15mg 3x a day. But I am afraid to take more medicine! The medicine is what is making me sick. I was stable until I lost my Jon and apartment and had a few sleepless nights and then came Seroquel and my life is in ruins! I can't miss work, I have no health insurance and I have been so sick for so long I don't know how much more I can take. I started getting sick Feb 19th and it is now March 27th

Anxiety :: Getting Addicted To Xanax After Few Days Of Use

I had a medical issue that created anxiety and panic for me, my doctor prescribed 0.5 mg 2 or 3 times a day. I did that for about a week to get me through the crisis. For a 2 day period during this week I probably took 4 of the 0.5 mg tablets but then cut it back to 2 a day. Fortunately after a week, my health issues were resolved and I stopped taking the Xanax. Not sure if it was my imagination or not but after 3 or 4 days of not taking I get very nervous and started again. I have been taking for the past 7 days a 0.25 tablet and as little as one at night but a max of 2, I also split the tablet so sometimes I take 1 and 1/2. I want to stop completely, I assume my usage would be considered low but I am scared and tend to let things bother me. Any advise as to how to proceed so I stop as quickly as possible. I do not want to get addicted, that is a great fear, plus my wife does not know and would probably leave me if she knew I was taking

Sedative Dependence :: Xanax Withdrawal, What Should I Expect?

I've been taking between .25-.75 mg of xanax per day for about 6 months, and occasionally i would take klonopin. It all started with methadone withdrawal early last year (2013) and benzos helped a lot. It got to the point where i was completely sober and feeling great but I would slowly begin taking xanax to help alleviate the lingering anxiety after my long battle with methadone withdrawal. And here I am. i'm tapering and taking less, i'm trying to take as little as possible and skip days if i can. I have weed, ketamine HCL, valerian root, magnesium glycinate, and melatonin on stand by to help me sleep. I also invested in fish oil, and L-theanine. i DO have access to opiates but i doubt those will help. I also here GABA drugs help.
so my general question, what should i expect? and how long will this last if go cold turkey now? i'm aware xanax has a very short half life unlike methadone.  Methadone withdrawal was HELL, and i know i haven't been taking large doses of xanax but i do admit that i am afraid because i'm well aware of the dangers of withdrawals from benzos.

Multiple Sclerosis :: Symptoms Improving With Xanax

I've been having MS symptoms for nine months. I've seen three doctors and no one could find anything so I asked to see a neuro which I will do later this month.

I have mirror image (symmetrical) numbness on my hands and feet every day. I have patches that feel tingly that come and go on various spots on my left side. I often have shaky legs and fingers and feel unsteady.

I have shooting pains in my left arm about once or twice a month and my arms get weak when carrying 2 pounds or greater.

I am a nervous flyer and was prescribed xanax for a cross country flight. Xanax dramatically decreased my numbness and my shaky limbs felt fine.

Would xanax take away my symptoms if I in fact have MS? I also am an avid runner and have been able to keep running through this entire 9 month ordeal. No issues..no fatigue..no leg exhaustion. Would this be possible?

Withdrawal - No Venlafaxine For 6 Days - Suffering Like Crazy

I've got all the symptoms and feeling like death warmed up at the moment. Have been weaning off for three months now, and been on 37.5mg for a month. My philosophy had been that, once my body had levelled out on that particular dosage, I'd cut to the next ... so, here I am on nothing since last Wednesday (Tuesday today here in NZ) and suffering like crazy, but thinking one of two things. I either ride the wave, and surely, surely I'll feel better soon? Right? OR, to go back on the 37.5mg for longer!! But, if I do that, won't I just be delaying the inevitable? I  mean from what I've read, the side effects are inevitable no matter what I do ... I'm self medicating with pain killers, antihistamines, and Coconut oil. Can't take Omega 3 as that by itself used to give me brain zaps so not sure what my options are here?

Mirtazapine Withdrawal Symptoms - Inner Trembling

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 2 months ago. since then my thyroid levels have stabilised and are just slightly on the low end of normal. The specialist I was seeing put me on a med called mirtazapine to help with my sleep and appetite. He told me to only have 1/8 to 1/4 of a 15 mg tablet, so I started off with 1/8 of a tablet for 3 weeks every night which work good, anyway went up to 1/4 of a tablet for a week or so, was way to tired the next day so came back Down to 1/8 of a tablet for about a week or 2. I started what I can only describe as inner trembling and rushes of energy in chest arm and neck area, these rushes would happen over and over again from about 3 am till morning. It's a really horrible feeling accompanied with crawling tingling skin which makes me squirm. I was assuming it was the mirtazapine so I stopped it at 1.85 mg. it's now been six days since I stopped and this is still happening. Has anyone else had this as a side effect/withdrawal symptom. I don't think it agreed with me. Other medication I am on are propranolol 10 mg three times a day and 5mg carbimazole.

Venlafaxine :: Does Mirtazapine Have Withdrawal Symptoms?

My psychiatrist has just agreed that I can try reducing my antidepressant medication. I'm on 225mg venlafaxine and 30 mg mirtazapine, and he's suggested I gradually reduce the mirtazapine first, and see what happens He's warned me that i might notice less sedation, so sleep less well. Are there any other withdrawal symptoms I should know about? Anyone else tried it?

Mirtazapine Protracted Withdrawal Symptoms

I have read several sources on protracted withdrawal symptoms. All that I have found in the extended symptoms were psychiatric in nature. As anyone who follows this subject knows, mirtazapine has more than it's share of physical pains as well. Anyone know anything about protracted withdrawals that are physical symptoms, such as headaches, back spasms, stomach cramps, etc,? God have mercy on anyone who's life has been negatively touched by this "medicine".

Mirtazapine :: Severe Withdrawal Symptoms

I broke my wrist on 1st Feb and my body went into severe shock. I felt very ill and couldn't sleep. My doctor gave me Mirtazapine to "calm things down". I took two 15mg tablets a day for 7 days and had horrible reactions including 'burning' and painful legs. I just stopped taking them 18 days ago but ever since I have what I imagine must be withdrawal symptoms. I feel so ill and feel desperate for some reassurance that things will pass. I can't sleep, feel nauseous,my chest hurts and I feel breathless. The symptoms seem to be getting worse.

I am so shocked that I have such a severe reaction after only taking the tablets for a week. Can anyone out there tell me if this is normal?

Mirtazapine Withdrawal - What Symptoms To Expect?

I would like to ask anyone who has withdrawn from Mirtazapine to explain what sort of symptoms you have experienced with withdrawal.

I have reduced from 15 mg to 12.5mg 4 weeks ago and have had a constant trembling/ shaking feeling predominantly in the mornings with an underlying anxious feeling, nausea, gastric upset, sweating, aching lower limbs and pressure in my head. Can anyone relate to any similar effects please?

Quitting Smoking - Withdrawal Symptoms?

I quit smoking 36 days back. Took 21mg patch sometimes for first 4 weeks and then taking 1/2 of 21mg patch (by cutting it). Went through the craving -
- not having any more. Here is what bother me now:-

* Feeling fever but no temperature

* Pains around the eye (sinus), headache, usual discomforts that comes with fever

* If my back is touched with little pressure (or rather rubbed), it feels like burning. If I bend, I feel a pain on the left side of mid-spinal cord -- but when sit straight it does not pain. (I do lift 2 five gallon water refills once in a while to 1st floor -- if can be slip disk)

* Felt similar burning pain in some other part (but less) too -- arms and probably the head (touching hairs pains little bit)

* Took crosin -- night time sweating many times now but the heavy head goes away with crosin

* Morning cough out little pinkish cold once or twice

* Oxygen level is 95% on blood (tested few days before)

Do I need to go for medication/see a doctor now or just wait and watch (is it a kind of withdrawal symptom or an independent issue)?

Mirtazapine :: Still Have Withdrawal Symptoms After 4 Weeks

I was bumped up to 30mg from 15mg as I got myself in a total mess with the doses and coming off my citalopram. Bad care and support from docs. Had all sorts of symptoms mainly dizzy and wiped out, which I thought was normal. I wasn't sleeping and my anxiety was worse than before I started taking anything. I wanted to come back down to 15 mg so had a chat with the doctor and said what I was doing. I took 22.5mg one day and 30mg the next, for 2 weeks and was tapering like that. After 2 weeks I thought I'll split them further and take 26.25mg every day instead of different doses every other day, as I thought that was better. But after 2 and half weeks the withdrawal symptoms hit me like a truck. Properly wiped out, painful shoulders and back, dizzy, anxious, clenching my hands and teeth, shaking, feeling hyper, and when I'm not super tired I can feel very angry. On the odd day I feel like I'm losing my mind. Utterly horrible. Plus my appetite is all over the place and I felt sick a few times. I've been off work for over a week now and going in when I can.

It's been 4 weeks since I dropped the dose to alternate days and 2 weeks since I went on 26.25mg. My shoulder and back pain isn't as bad, and I feel I'm better than I have been but I can feel fine one day and then have to phone in sick the next. It's actually making me more depressed with the symptoms I have.

My question is, can someone reassure me that this will eventually stabilise? I'm worried I'm not back to normal yet and when I've changed dose before it usually takes about 4 weeks. It can be rocky but usually fine for work and can cope.

I woke this morning with palpitations, so still in bed hoping to get into work later today. I contemplated going back up to 30mg but that would probably be a step backwards considering I was only on 30 for a month. I'm glad my friend and my family have helped me to stay on the same dose as any change is really sensitive to me.

I'm really struggling atm and worried about my work. Will I stabilise over the next week or so?

Citalopram :: Withdrawal Symptoms Coming Off 20 Mg

I've been on citalopram 20 mg for 18 months and I have now been tablet free for 7 days. The doctor said I was ready to withdraw off them so this is how I did it. I took 1 tablet every other day for 3 weeks then 1/2 tablet for a week. then I decided to come off them altogether.

This is where it doesn't go too well.

The side effects have been awful.Dizziness, moody, headaches and lethargic.I didn't expect them to be this bad.

I've persevered and I am feeling stronger than ever.

How long will the dizziness go on though?

Citalopram :: Anxiety Is Back On Increasing The Dose

I have been on cit for 4 weeks. My doctor decided this morning that she should increase my dose from 20mg to 30mg. I'm not sure why she decided to do this because I've actually been feeling close to myself for the last 2 days and I informed her of that. Since I've been home from the appointment my anxiety is creeping back in. I think it may be due to worry of increasing the dose. Should I expect to have increased side effects and/or anxiety after taking the new dose?
