Lincoln - Towncar :: 1986 - Doors Lock / Unlock For No Apparent Reason
I have a weird feeling that there's a ghost in my car! This is so strange! I was driving home after dinner with of my best friends & suddenly all of my doors keep locking & unlocking on their own for no apparent reason; I'm NOT EVEN touching the door lock switch! To remedy the problem I yanked out the door lock fuse so it won't drain out my battery overnight. What could be wrong with my door locks?

Volvo :: 1991 740 Wagon - Rear Brake Lights Do Not Come On
1991 740 Wagon 2.3 I4 with turbocharger and an intercooler.
My rear taillamp brake lights do not come on.
Of the 4 red lights on both taillamp cluster, only bottom two red lights stay on when I turn on the head lights. When I step on brake pedal with both headlights on or off, all 4 read lights do not come on.
I only get the middle small red light on. (which probably means the brake light switch on the pedal is fine.) I do have the lamp malfunction warning on when I turn on the headlamp or signal lights on.
I changed the lamp malfunction relay (big red cylinder) but things are the same. Found the bottom right red light had one of its filament broken so replaced the bulb but things are still the same.

I just purchased a 1986 Volvo 240DL, it runs great, but slow and the Ac is like ice. Only real issues are a rattling coming from the rear(exhaust mount I think) and
most importantly the steering is super light. No effort required at all.
Touareg :: 2007 V10 Rear Doors Won't Unlock
The rear doors on our '07 V10 no longer unlock when the handle is grasped. They also refuse to respond to the unlock button on the key fob. They will unlock in response to the button on the inside of the driver's door.

When I open the doors on my touareg, the rear hatch does not unlock. When I try to program it as an option to open the rear hatch when I unlock the doors, it works for awhile. But, it always goes back to not opening. I recall a few months ago a similar question or post about a solution, like reprogramming something else first or at the same time.

I have a 2007 Santa Fe and recently both rear doors don't respond to the car remote and even to the driver-side control panel on the door. The only way now to lock and unlock the rear doors is to manually do it from the inside. Both front doors are fine. What could be the problem with the rear doors? Is it just a fuse? Or do I need to open the door panel and have a look inside? If I do need to open the door panel, looking for instructions on how to open it.

I have a 2011 Azera. The rear doors don't automatically unlock when shifting into park. They function properly otherwise. The child door locks are set in the open position.

I just finished installing sound deadners and vibration control in my rear doors and when I finished the doors would not unlock...at all. Manually nor automatically. I'm sure the linkage cable was green on top, grey on the bottom. The real problem here is that I can't even get the doors open to look for a fix. This may be a dealer appointment. On the bright side, with just the rear doors complete the sound is already vastly improved over stock.

I have a 2010 Prius V-ATP with remote keyless entry. When I open the driver door the rear doors do not unlock. When I open the front passenger door, the rear doors do unlock. I would like the driver door to open all 4 doors too. Is this normal operation?. Is there something I can do to fix it or do I have to take it to the dealer?

I did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?

I recently purchased a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT and don't know very much about it, nor Fords in general. I was just wondering if there is any way to have the power doors unlock automatically when I shift into Park or turn the ignition off? It has the option to have the doors automatically lock once I reach 5-10 mph, but I can't find any information about programming it to unlock automatically. It doesn't have the programmable computer display, so everything requires pressing a bunch of buttons when the key is turned on accessory and things like that. I have kids who are always in the back seats, and it gets annoying trying to get them out of the truck when it's off and I forget to manually unlock them.

After going through a car wash my Prius has started locking all doors when I start the car and unlocking driver's and passenger front doors when I turn it off. Kind of wondering how this could happen, but since I like it that way I don't really want to change it back. I have a 1997 Volvo 960 station wagon. It has been sitting in the driveway for 5 months. I went to drive it and it wouldn't start. We jumped it and it ran but wouldn't hold a charge. The battery was about 7 years old so we went and bought a new battery. We took the old battery out and replaced it and now it does nothing. It won't start and there is no sign of power to the car at all.

Suddenly, the horn on my '97 Volvo V90 (wagon - really a 960 wagon) stopped working. The mechanic checked out connections. The only thing he came up with was to get inside the column and see if a wire had come loose. Not only is that wildly expensive, but the air bag issue is a big deal. Finding a junk yard with a wheel, horn and column is impossible for this model. I have to pass inspection soon. Testing in and around the column? And, if after all testing is done, what are the options??
