Touareg :: Cannot Activate Rear Wiper?
I can activate the rear wiper spray, but cannot seem to activate the wiper itself. I am hoping that this is user error (misunderstanding owner's manual) rather than a broken rear wiper assembly.

The clips on the cover broke so I bought a new one. Since they redesigned the 04 base, I have to remove the base. I remove the nut on the outside and the 3 on the on the inside after removing the cover. However I can't figure out how to pull the wiper off and replace the base. There is something holding it together. There is a pin that is connected to the inside that has a round hole but it is not a torx, allen, or any type of other tool I tried.

How do I turn on the rear wiper without it spraying the window with washer fluid? I've followed the instructions in the manual for using the rear wiper, but very time I turn the wiper on it sprays the window with washing fluid. I don't need washer fluid sprayed on the window if the window is already wet from rain.

I have to replace my rear wiper arm and rear LED string on the hatch.
My rear wiper arm got damaged at a car wash, I took the cap off and removed the bolt however the arm will not come off.
The LED string, where to start and my dealer was unable to tell when I picked the part up.
Touareg :: 2011 - Rear Wiper Does Not Lift Up / Leaking Fluid

I have the 2011 Touareg Hybrid and having a problem with the rear wiper. (Hybrid, TDI, or V6) I have 2 issues:
- Issue 1 : The rear wiper is leaking fluid and it drips down onto the tailgate and leaves a stain. (See photo) The first time i noticed this I have the wipers in the auto sensing mode. It has not rained any, but I thought it was possibly activating. After washing vehicle, I turned off the the auto sensing and it has not rained at all nor have I used the wiper for anything. It did it again. I have informed my service advisor at VW and they are going to look at it next time I take it in.
- Issue 2 : My dealer and I have narrowed this down to be only on the Hybrid. The rear wiper does not lift up. Meaning I cannot pull the wiper out at all for cleaning and washing vehicle. When I got my hybrid, I could do that. However, there is a cap at the end covering the spray holes. We had to push the cap down further to where the holes in the cap lined up with where the water shoots out. This appears to be the correct position for the cap, but it now prevents you from being able to raise the wiper. You can also see the cap in the photo.
Touareg :: 2006 - Passenger Side Wiper Hitting Driver Side Wiper?
Last night while driving in the ice and snow storm we had in the north east my passenger side wiper started acting funny was hitting the driver side wiper and not going full cycle. I think there is something wrong with the linkage,the driver side works fine bringing it in for service Monday.

Touareg :: Car Won't Operate Windshield Wiper And Radio
I took delivery of a new 2004 Touareg V8 with nav system radio, yesterday. On the way home, in the rain, the front windshield wipers stopped working as well as sound from the radio (controls, menus, etc... were still illuminated) This is not very comforting. Windshield wipers are quite necessary in the rain. The general technology behind windshield wipers and radios would seem to be mature to the point that reliability need not be questioned. As a new owner having just been through an hour of instruction on operating this piece of machinery, I felt somewhat inadequate that I could not operate the windshield wipers and radio. I said to myself, it can't be this hard! My wife and I became frustrated at each other to the point of my speculation on who would get the vehicle in the divorce.
When I finally made my way into my driveway, I decided to check the wiper fuse because it was most necessary, rain being forecast for the next several days.
I pulled the 30A fuse for the wipers and found it to be OK. I then replaced it. Behold, both the wipers and radio began to work. (The manual does not say anything about the radio being connected to the wiper fuse) Case closed, I thought. 5 minutes later they went out again. I pulled the fuse, replaced it and eureka, they began to work again. I drove the vehicle today for about 30 minutes at which time they ceased to function once more.
Touareg :: 2006 - Wiper Blades Seem To Be Streaking
Having issue with these wiper blades? My wife's touareg has less than 15k, but the wiper blades are streaking and otherwise less than useless. I have had the same wiper blades on my jetta for over 2 years with no issue. I have tried cleaning the wipers several times, but to no avail. Before I shell out $60+ on some wiper blades. I know I am gonna probably gonna have to get the new wipers.

I have an 05 Touareg and the passenger side windshield wiper is not wiping a small section of the screen, approximately behind the rear view mirror. It's not a problem with the blade (I replaced those) so I suspect the wiper arm needs adjustment. Raising the car's bonnet reveals the wiper arm attachment (see picture) but there's a plastic cover that it looks like I need to remove. Usually I use brute force and break things like this. How to
(1) remove the plastic cover and
(2) adjust the wiper arm

Anyways, having issue of the drivers side wiper leaving an area unwiped at eye level?

Touareg :: Sprayer Worked But Window Wiper Dead
So the day after getting my 5000 mile service (an entirely different story for that) I tried to clean off my rear window and found that the sprayer worked but the wiper didn't. Leaving even more of a mess.
Both the sprayer and the button on the wiper head to open just the glass work perfectly. With the stalk on just rear wipe there isn't even any sound coming from the wiper motor like it's trying to move but jammed. I have made sure the little prong is in the groove in the circular plate it goes into. I have checked the fuse box and fuse 52 isn't burned out (although oddly it only has a 5 amp fuse in it, not the 30 amp as the manual describes).
The only thing i'd like to check is the wiring under the dash. I can't remember if I have used the wiper since I installed my hands free kit, but I had both the a pillar trim and the under dash panel off. I assume it travels in the bundle down the a pillar, but then where does it go. I was very careful wiring the hands free but I suppose I could have pulled a wire loose inadvertantly re-installing the panel trim or something.
Touareg :: Wiper Mode Don't Work At A Complete Stop
For some reason the wipers only work while moving. At a complete stop, slow, fast, intermittent and the wipe mode do not work. If moving forward all functions operate per the owners manual. The rear works perfect.

Golf/GTI VII :: Replacing Rear Wiper
Do the rear wiper arm of a new model Audi A3 can replace the 2015 GTI's? The GTI version leaves a bunch of the blade exposed and I would like a cleaner look with no exposed blade. I think the A3 may work and still have the same size wiper.

I figured out how to remove the front wiper blades you lift the clip then slide them off but the rear wiper blade I cannot figure out how to remove from the arm.

I bought the car with a polo wiper already installed and I'm totally fine with that because it looks a lot better. The thing is, the sprayer has never worked. I can hear it function when I use the lever for it but it doesn't shoot anything out. I took a pic and it looks like I'm missing something. If not, I guess I'll have to take it apart.

2007 Santa Fe just broke the rear wiper arm while trying to replace the blade. Went to rockauto.com to get replacement arm but they don't list one for the Santa Fe but do for the Tucson. My question is will the Tucson arm work on the Santa Fe?
