Touareg :: Satellite Radio Randomly Resetting / Losing Presets?
The thing just randomly will dump it's station preset memory and I'll turn the car on and all my stations will be gone and replaced with 184 (weather, i think). Everything else is fine, FM is fine, and it remembers everything else... it just loses SR1/SR2 presets. Very odd.

I love my new ride too (08 V6). I hvae a couple of questions: How can you disable your DRL? I went to the convenience page and there's no option to disable DRL (day time running lights). How can I reset the tire pressure monitor sensor. I upgraded to the 19" wheels and my TPMS settings is for 17" wheels.
I looked all over the MFD and I don't have the option to reset them. But according to the manual that came with the car I should have that option. One thing I noticed their manual is not the greatest. By the way this is my first VW.
Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: XM Radio Keeps Resetting To Zero
I recently purchased a Prius. I had Sirius set me up with a trial membership and send a signal a number of time to my radio, but it keeps resetting to zero. I've tried turning the radio on off--the "tech support" at Sirius told to take car to an audio shop to check it. I frankly do not think it could be a problem with the radio--everything works on all other channels and channel 1 works with the previews. I don't know what an audio person could possibly do--I think the issue has to be with Sirius.

This morning I got in my car and pulled out of my driveway like normal. SAT Radio playing, everything good. After about 10 min I stopped at McDonald's to get some breakfast and turned the car off. When I come back to my car and start it, it starts normal, SAT radio playing.
After about 30 seconds the screen goes blank and the system resets itself, music stops. The screen turns back on and shows the Lexus "Welcome" screen as if I just started the car. About every 15 - 20 seconds after that it keeps doing the same thing. I tried shutting the car off and restarting it, hoping maybe it would reset the system and nothing, same issue. I had to drive to work with the screen and radio resetting itself every 15 - 20 seconds, very annoying.
Any simple fix before I have to take it to the dealer? I know all the updates and downloads available for the car and NAV system have been done so I'm not sure what could be causing this? Everything else in the car works fine and has not been affected by this, even the backup camera works fine.
Touareg :: Resetting Odometer To Zero?
Just filled the Treg for the first time and couldn't figure out how to reset the odometer to zero. I've never encountered a vehicle that didn't have the little button to push next to the odometer for reset.
Also, the "please refuel" warning seems to come up pretty early. As it was the first time for me to fill her up I wasn't sure how many gallons were remaining in the tank. It only required 19.5 gallons to fill so I still had about 5 gallons or so left I guess. I have to admit I liked the fuel pump symbol that popped up to remind me.
One more off-topic observation. I've noticed with my key remote that the hatch release button requires a lot of effort before the thing receives the signal and opens. In fact, the sensitivity of the remote in general appears to be rather weak. I've been accustomed to my Bimmer having a very good keyless entry system where it only required one press of the key from a long distance and no extra effort.

2011 F250. My radio's audio settings are resetting back to default when my truck sits a couple of days. I know there is one member that has(d) this issue. I am still under warranty but thought I would ask what or if there will be a fix.

From the day I got my '04 Treg, the tire inflation indicator on the dash has been a problem. For the first year or so, whenever it would indicate a tire inflation problem I would scroll the thumb wheel and get the MFI window with the diagram of the car and indicator as to which tire was low or the problem and would adjust till the indicator went off. Then I guess I got lazy and I noticed I could just go to "reset" in the same window and hold the thumb wheel down and the treg would then accept whatever the pressures happens to be as the new "standard". Not a good idea, I know.
Now here is my problem. Somehow, and much to my eternal consternation, I can no longer get the window in MFI that has tire inflation levels. That's right, it seems to be gone. I get "units" and "lights" and "comfort" and "speed warning" and "time" but no tire inflation category. What could have happened to it? I suppose that while get oil changes at the dealership they may, without my knowing, have reprogrammed my computer but I don't think the change coincided with any service. I've looked in the manual and it's useless on the subject. How I can re-attain the tire inflation window short of taking into the dealership for re-programming?

I just bought a 2008 Mercedes E350 with 92,000 miles. After 2 days of driving a message displays " Service c due in 14 days" .I called local Benz dealer and they said the oil will need changing. The place I bought the car from assured me they had changed the oil prior to putting it up for sale. How do you reset this message on the car. Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Low Tire Pressure Warning Light Still On After Resetting On 2008 RX350
2008 RX350 with 52k mile .... It's getting cold even in Atlanta. So I thought the warning light was perfectly normal..
Checked the tire pressure and was around 31psi, so pumped to 35 ish after running 10 min or so thinking it should be good enough. After driving back home, the lights are still on.
I double checked tire pressures and they are between 35 and 35.5 psi still. So I reset the warning light, and it the light won't go away. I think the owner's manual said, if it blinks for one min and stays on, then there's a problem in the sensor.
When I start, it blinks once, then stays on.
If I reset it, it blinks three times and stays on.
What I should do next? I did replace tires about a year ago at the local tire shop, but I don't think it was their fault, as I think the warning light worked fine last winter.
Touareg :: V8 - How To Shut Radio Or CD But Keep Nav
I picked up my Black V8 w/ Teak and all options yesterday evening and love the Touareg so much I can't stop playing with it. Funny, but I think the Nav is pretty good - and it seems like the latest software version has fixed many of the gripes on this forum. Of course I never had a nav system before, and I did see that the MDX's system is pretty snazzy. I read the manual carefully, but how to shut the radio or CD changer, but keep the Nav or Map screen displaying its goodies? Let's say I'm playing the radio and then want to switch to the Nav or Map but shut off the crap music. I couldn't figure it out, and ended up just lowering the volume.

I have no sound at all from radio,CD or Nav... nothing, nadda, zip. I checked with vagcom and all speakers show open circuit. It shows a DTC 00464. All of this followed an Output test performed on Controller 47 (Sound System) which worked fine.

I have the nav radio with CD changer. Today I took a phone call and switched off the power to the whole nav radio to take the call. I sure wish there were a pause button for the CD player, but that's for another post. Anyway, I was enjoying the song I was listening to and it had just started so rather than just turn it down, I turned the radio off figuring that was the only way to get the CD to stop playing. When I turned the nav radio on again, it was mid-way through the next song. I tried it again, this time using the scientific method of singing along with where the song would be if the radio were still on. Sure enough, the CD player keeps playing even if you switch off your radio so when I turned it back on, I was only seconds off of where I expect the song to be based on my "by myself in my car" singing. If you switch to radio (FM/AM) and I'm sure any other input, the CD does stop playing.

Lately when i take my key out of the ignition, my radio stays on and my car will chime with the door open as if the key was still in the ignition (and it lasts for different periods of time). I also have found it more difficult to get the key in and out. Obviously there is something wrong with the ignition.

bring my 04 V8 in for second service in two weeks to fix the same two problems, (i) low voltage error messages in MFI, including AC off, Electrics Off and Fault Running Gear, and (ii) fix the keyless entry. So for, item i is fixed. Item ii is not and it's going back next week again. Further, they were supposed to take one of my two keys and replace it with a new one since the key I use was giving me an error message that read "key not present." So, they coded the new one and instead of coding my wifes key, they send hers back for warranty replacement and gave me the same dead one back.
Here's the new one. I'm driving home from work tonight, radio on a great tune, and I turn on the rear defroster. Guess what, the radio cuts out. Soon as I turn it off, the radio works again. On all stations, although some have more static than others. What gives??? Never had this problem in 4 years of ownership. It's like the ole gal knows she's going back in 8 weeks and is being replaced by an '08 T2 and she's revolting.
