Tiguan :: Low Windshield Washer Fluid Warning
Recently the low windshield washer warning light came up on my dash. I rarely use it so found it weird. As I thought it was pretty full already. The warning only show up when its around 4 degree Celsius and doesn't show up when its around 10 degree.

I have a 2007 Santa Fe GLS. The washer fluid light came on and I filled the reservoir with a complete jug of washer fluid. When I went to use the wipers no fluid came out of the front sprayers but the back one worked until it was completely empty in a matter minutes. When I stepped out of the car, there was a big puddle fluid on my side of the car. What this most likely is. I know there are a couple different scenarios from the reservoir being cracked to the pump. But just thought it was weird that the back sprayer was working before the tank was empty and front wasn't working at all.

I removed my washer fluid reservoir and saw that I can just twist together the wires and it would keep my light off. That lasted a few days. And now the light is on. I tried soldering them to see if it was a bad connection but still the light is still on. How I can get it off?

problem with washer fluid - the motor seems to work, but nothing comes out of the tubes...
I know the motor works, cuz there is water all over the engine compartment (near the battery) and down... soaked there...
so, my guess is that the rubber has come off the pump? where is the pump first off, and second, how do I get to all that? - just remove the cowl?
any diagrams or photos would be great!

I would assume that my sensor needs replacement. What it takes to access the sensor? Where is it exactly located before I start ripping apart everything.

Having issues with the windshield constantly fogging up?
I love my car, but this is a large annoyance for me. It seems as though the heat is escaping from the engine bay and being ducted directly into the lower half of the windshield. I know it is occurring on the outside of the glass because I can wipe it off with the wipers, but it just keeps coming back. Sometimes, it's so bad that I can't even see the road...
I do have the APR Carbonio intake installed, and I'm wondering if the intake tube that parallels the windshield has a leak somewhere.
Tiguan :: 2010 - Coolant Leaking Constantly
So I'm about 10 mins from home today when the coolant low/overheating dash light (the key light) came on and started flashing. I got off the next exit and pulled into a Wal-Mart and notice I had no coolant when I lifted the hood. There was a strong coolant smell so I looked under the car and it was pouring out.
I got some more put in to get me home. I was 5 mins away and by the time I got home it was completely empty again. I can't see the leak looking from the top of the engine. When I look up it's coming out on the passenger side at the back of the firewall.
I filled it back up and just pulled the car into the garage. 7 hours later and the coolant is still full so it only happens when I'm driving. There was no oil present in the coolant leak. I pulled the oil dipstick and it looks normal, no milky color.
I'm having it towed to the local VW dealership tomorrow morning but just wanted to see what everyone's opinion on the issue might be.
Only 33K miles on the Tiguan The engine never ran hot. The needle was right in the middle the entire time. No engine mods other than a Chip, Intake, and Catch Can. I've yet to hear about either of those three mods causing this issue.

Recently the dash display indicated that I needed to add washer fluid. I was surprised that it would be low since I rarely use it and had not done so lately.
Yesterday I added water to the bottle and heard a trickling noise as I was doing so. To my surprise the water was leaking out below the car! The bottle remains empty.

When I fill up my washer fluid reservoir, about half of it leaks out somewhere near the front of the passenger door and falls to the ground. Where it could be coming from? Is the rear washer hose routed through this area?

I recently purchased a 2009 Camry XLE with 14,000 miles on it. So far so good other than the windshield/dash noise rattle when it is cold which I have searched on found a fix. However the other challenge I am having is the windshield washer fluid is leaking. It is a toyota certified car (warranty for 12 mos/ 12,000 miles) so I figured the 160 point inspection was completed expecting they would have topped off all fluids. I filled the washer fluid to where I could see it in the neck of the container. I walked back into my garage to put away the washer fluid, while walking back towards the car I could see something was leaking from under the car. It was leaking from a hole of the plastic directly under the car that covers everything up so you are unable to look up into the engine compartment. What may be causing this leak? I would suspect about 10 to 14 oz leaked.

My rear washer fluid sprayer has always been pretty weak. I figured there was probably a leak in the line somewhere. When I adjusted my rear view mirror the other day, I saw some washer fluid leaking out of the roof liner by the driver side c-pillar. I've been having some trouble finding a good DIY on removing the c-pillar cover and patching/replacing the line, I'm hoping this will be a pretty easy fix. This is as far as I've managed to get on my own. Not far at all. Yes, that is the driver side. PhotoBooth reverses the image, since it's predominately used for face shots.

A friend of mine almost crashed his 2014 Santa Fe during a snow storm, his washer fluid pump stopped working and he could not see in front of him on a bridge, he could not stop on a bridge. He has been scared to death. The dealer found out that the pump was completely rusted inside and out. It should be made of stainless. not steel. The dealer told him he was not the first to report this problem.

My 2012 Sonota's message center has just recently come up with this message 'Low washer fluid' which will not go away. The car has a low windshield washer fluid light which is not 'on' (to indicate a low fluid situation). I have filled the reservoir which has done nothing to either status (the low warning message, or the low warning light). It seems to me the both indicators should be saying the same thing but are not. The windshield washers are working just fine. I would like to clear the warning message. Is there a way?
