Prius (Gen 3) :: Blizzard Pearl 2012 - Illuminated Door Sills Not Working
I have a Blizzard Pearl 2012 Toyota Prius PPP edition, I have owned it since August of 2013 and absolutely love it, the upgraded stiffer suspension is awesome. I can make 60 mph turns on freeway ramps with little to no body roll, it an insane feeling.
Now to my problem, can any of the other PPP owners tell me if all 4 door sills light up, only the passenger side door sill has ever lit up since I bought it, I thought that was the way it was meant to be but after reading on this forum it appears they all light up or at the very least both front doors light up.
I looked closely at the back door sills and they do not to be the same as the front ones as though they might not light up, guess I will have to remove them to check if they have power runnnig to them

The blue illuminated sills were already installed when I purchased the car...I just recently noticed that both sides don't light up anymore. I'm not sure when exactly they quit working, but i recently had my battery replaced. I checked every fuse in my car and can't find one that is blown. Is this a fuse problem? or did both sills just decide to crap out together? I checked both connections and they're solid.

Trying to figure out what ELSE it could be.
Car just rolled 60K. Only odd thing going on is that the "puddle light" down in the corner of the driver's door will not come on. Ever. Bulb is okay. It won't even come on when the passenger door is opened, which I totally don't get. I mean, if the driver's door lock is toast, what's going on with that? My logic tells me that if the driver's door lock is the cause here, opening the other door would light that light.
No weird alarm behavior, no re-locking after 30 seconds or whatever it is (as though after unlocking with remote that door has not been opened), no missing fuel-pump-priming whirr. The only other thing I've noticed is that after opening the driver's door, all the other interior lights dim in about 25 seconds, rather than however many it is after the passenger door is opened (a bit longer).
My old (MkIV) GTI had the driver's door lock check out when the car was about 5 years old. But it had alarming and locking issues, which are more the classic symptoms.

The "Door Ajar" light on my Ex has apparently decided that I would enjoy having the little red light on the dash illuminated. Normally, I'd consider this just a nuisance, but it's convinced the interior and running board lights to play along so that they don't go out until they time out. I'm pretty sure that it's in the rear door somewhere. Where the sensor(s) are for the rear doors and how to test them?

2004, cc/lb 6.0 ... I get in the truck and the dome lights come on, key the ignition and they stay on though they should go off, start truck and they still stay on until I reach 5 mph. Door ajar light is illuminated on the dash. If the truck is off and I open the drivers door, the domes will come on, they will not come on if I open the other three doors. I just replaced the switch on the drivers door and no change.
I held the trip button and started the engine. I kept tapping the button until "door 40" came up. When I opened the drivers door it would change from 40 to CO. When I opened the other doors, it would stay at 40.
I did notice that once I had the drivers door open and completely off the latch and my hands off the door handle, I would move the door and it would then change from 40 to CO. At this point the latch switch is out of the picture. So if i move the door slightly open/close it would switch from 40 to CO when the door is nearly closed. Is there another switch or sensor somewhere near the hinges?
Volvo - C70 :: Puddle Of Oil Came Out Of Transmission Box - Cannot Change Gears
,I have a 2004 C70 Volvo. One day I noticed a sizable puddle of oil underneath the car that came out of the transmission box. The car turns on fine, but when I put it in drive and press on the gas pedal, I hear the engine roar but the car doesn't move an inch. It is as if the gears were on neutral. I tried reverse and the same happens; I just hear the engine roar with no movement at all.
I asked one mechanic and they said I need a new transmission- which is very expensive- but they didn't give me an explanation. They just said 'it happens'... What is wrong specifically (just out of curiosity)? As far as I know this was a sudden problem. The car was working fine the previous day then the next day, I see the puddle of oil and the transmission doesn't feed at all.Is my only option is buying a used transmission (costs around a couple of grands)?

Our winter tires on the 2010 prius have the pressure sensors insalled in the wheels. Yet, ever since they were installed, the tire pressure light has been on on the dash. I have checked the tire pressures numerous times, and they are okay. In fact I now have the tires slightly over inflated instead of at spec, and it's still on. Do the sensors go bad in the wheels? We've had no issues with the system with the summer tires and wheels.

Quick Question: I was driving through my neighborhood yesterday and hit a pretty good bump. I as hit the brakes, a quick Yellow Triangle Light illuminated on my dash. There were no other warning lights that I could see and the warning light was only on for a split-second. What could've caused this? I changed out the blower fan this morning as the a/c was weak and at times, the fan could not get going without manually spinning the blades to get it started. Easy project and now the fan has much more power. Decided to vacuum out the car after I was done which only took about 10 minutes. I know that I had disturbed the wiring under the front seats by brushing up against it with the vacuum tool while trying get under the seat. This is not the first time that this has happened... I checked all the connections. Should the 'problem' clear itself after 3 restarts? Car now has 244,882 mi.

I've had 2 Priuses 2010 lose the oil change door from the main protective panel under the car. Many have posted about this design flaw. My question is: Does the 2015 Prius also have this potential problem? I remember reading forum posts about the TSB regarding this issue on the 2010 which I was too late to take advantage of. I would rather address this now before my warranty expires on my 2015.

Having issues with the rear tailgate door unlocking. Seems like mine on occasion is only making a noise but not unlocking completely and showing the door ajar light with the beep. When it happens, its a pain to get it to stop and close completely, or even open. I have to push hard on the door to get it to stop.
