Lexus IS 2014+ :: Turn Off Car With Driver Door Open - Alarm Beeping
So I have been trying to figure out why when I turn off the car with the driver door opened, the car will beep continuously until I close the door again. Is it trying to tell me to remember the key? This was the case in my 2010 IS250 too... so its not something that is new.. its just now that I started wondering.

I bought my prius about a month ago and noticed something odd about the door sensor recently. I would place my thumb over the groove of the door handle and hear the beeping noise, but the door is still locked. Placing my thumb again with another beep would open the door. When I first got the car, I only had to do it once.

Strangest thing just happened. Went to go open my door as I always do, and when I touched the handle sensor it beeped several times (more than the 2 times it does to unlock), and it didn't unlock. I would use my keyfob to hit unlock, but again when I tried to pull the handle open it was locked and kept beeping.
The passenger side seemed to work. Eventually I used the physical key to unlock the driver door and it worked. Didn't happen again after I locked/unlocked. Was there an issue with the electronic locking/unlocking mechanism?

I bought carpet and loaded it into the PIP, needing to strap down the hatchback with the carpet sticking out.
As soon as I drove off both turn signals started flashing and a tone beeping.
The flashers stopped after a minute, but the beeping sounded all the way home.Very Annoying.

The noise seems routine. It happens when you get close to the car and open your door. I guess the car is anticipating that you will start the car soon and under the hood, some subtle mechanical noises occur. Just wondering what that noise is?

Now and then when I open the sunroof it sticks and wont open... then I close it and try again and it opens but it makes a pop noise as if something sticking.... happens now and then. I am thinking some grease or oil somewhere is needed?

I own a 2007 Prius with around 35k miles on it. I got this car about a year and a half ago, and have ever since had a pretty frustrating problem.
Every so often when I park my car and open the door to leave, the car will start beeping incessantly, in the same way that it does if you've left a light on. The only indicators on inside the car are the little red car with the key, telling me that I am in fact sitting inside a car with my keys, and the emergency brake light.

Its annoying as hell. I tried the method for the gen II Prius I found here in the forum but it didn't work. I looked through the audio display unit for a way but couldn't find it. In the owners manual there is a "beep once option" in custom settings but its says it can only be done at the Toyota dealer. Lately when I first start up and all the lights on the dash come on I see the triangle with the exclamation point (I don't remember seeing this before). It goes off when the rest of the warning lights go off. Today I backed the car out of the garage and put it in park and turned it off. When I opened the dirver door it beeped, beeped, beeped (like it was backing up). I shut the door and opened it again and it beeped again. I got out and locked it and went in the house. I went back out and unlocked it and opened the passenger door and it didn't beep anymore. I haven't tried the driver door yet.

One morning last week I opened the car door and it started to beep real loud - like an alarm set off (I don't have an alarm system in my car) - It lasted 30 seconds. I went about driving the car and it ran fine. I stopped at a place - went out and came back to drive out again. As soon as I opened the door the alarm went off again. This time it lasted 20 seconds. I have not had the issue since then -(a week gone). What could be wrong. I know it happened and will happen again. I don't know if battery is low - everything works fine and car is running like a charm. battery indicator shows full when on the road. I can't recreate the problem.

In my 2006 Gen 2 I got a sequence off of priuschat to turn off the beeping. The Prius C3 beeps with the door open (ok with that)..beeps with the lights on (ok I guess)...but when you turn off the car it beeps for no reason. How do I turn that off? These beeps are driving me nuts. There has to be an easy way to silence this.

I have a 2007 Prius 5 with 205,000 miles. Just recently, while Im driving the Red Triangle blinks on intermittently along with an annoying beeping. I took to dealer and they diagnosed error code C1300 which indicated that I needed a new "Brake actuator assembly with skid control ECU". I declined price tag because they said it's nothing critical (despite that it sounds rather important), and car will run fine without replacing this part. However, they said "nothing we can do about the intermittent red triangle and beeping".
Is this true? It's a very annoying noise. I know that it is possible to turn off the reverse beeping. Isn't there a fuse associated with "beeping" that could simply be disconnected?

That annoying chime is what I am trying to disable.
I already disabled the chime for when the car is running and I open the door but I cant figure out how to do it for when the car is in gear other than park.

Golf/GTI VI :: 2011 - Passenger Window Makes Noise When Door Is Closed
When I close the passenger door with the window down the glass of the window makes a noise like it is hitting metal. The noise is the loudest when the window is all the way down and becomes less loud gradually the further the window is up when the door is closed. It does not make the noise at all when the window is all the way up.
Found a few websites that illustrates how to remove the door panel but that seems to give you access to the window motor not the window itself.

I have a 2006 Prius with about 215K miles on it that has started with a new symptom. When stopped at a traffic light, the engine will come on and idle fast, then turn off again. It continues to do this for a few seconds then stops. It will not do it again for a few days then it will repeat the problem.

I have a 2009 Toyota Corolla, and the door open indicator will intermittently turn on and off. I isolated the problem to the trunk, and unplugged the trunk latch assembly so that the trunk dome light doesn't drain my battery. Before I unplugged it, my key fob could open the trunk remotely. I can still manually open my trunk using a key or the lever next to the drivers seat. Is there something on the latch assembly that I can check if it's triggering?
