Prius C :: Driver Side Window Rattle / Door Itself Expands Inward
I have a new C, there's less than 1k miles on it, and I'm finding that when the driver's side window is down about 2 inches, it rattles quite a lot. Farther down (half way) it doesn't rattle.
Also something odd: when the window is all the way down, the door itself expands inward.

Prius (Gen 3) :: Rattle From Driver Side Door In Cold Temp
I've noticed this of late. An irritating rattle from the driver's side door, but the key is that it only happens when the temps are cool. If the car is warm/hot due to being out in the sun, there is no rattle. This tells me it's something resolved when heat makes parts expand, but if I can stick something in that will stop the rattle altogether, I'd prefer to fix it.

My 2012 Prius Plug-In has a rattle in the drivers door. It is only noticed when I am driving slow in EV, perhaps 25 to 40 mph, with the drivers door window up. Put the window down an inch and it goes away. Warmer weather seems to increase the rattle.

Just recently I am having an odd rattle almost echo vibration when I close my driver's side door. I have tried it with the window down a bit and don't notice or get the noise. It almost feels like something is loose or being vibrated around and above the door.

I can hear rattling coming from the driver's door at low speeds on uneven roads. At higher speeds there are no noises, it only happens at speeds of up to 50 km/hour. I removed the door panel and there are no loose parts.

I recently fixed a hollow sounding door rattle that was coming from the outer door skin on my driver's side door. It turned out to be a stiffening rib that was not bonded to the door skin anymore, possibly because of an impact or just age of the vehicle.
After removing the door panel and peeling back the plastic dust guard, I used some adhesive caulk and tapered rubber wedges to brace the stiffener and reattach it to the door skin.
The picture shows the approximate location of the stiffener in between the outer skin and the inner panel support.

Having issue with power windows in 2010 Prius. I just noticed today that I can't roll down the rear passenger side window from the driver door switch but all the other windows work, and the rear passenger window works as I can roll down from the door itself.

Experience a rattle in the window up/down control area when any sort of bass lines come along in the song you're listening to? If I hold the left rear window switch in the up position, the rattle stops, but when I leave it alone, it comes right back! Having issues with passenger side door making noise on the highway at higher speeds or over bumps? I've recently begun to notice a slight rattle coming from the passenger side door when at highway speeds which becomes more noticeable and annoying when driving over a bump or less smooth roadways. I just reached 1500 miles. I have looked around on the forum and found some issues that various GTI owners experienced most dated from last year (talked with a MK6 GTI owner today at work who mentioned there was a recall not too long ago on this issue?), but I feel like that would have been since fixed with the R if the recall was last year.

Would be very interested in any fixes known for an annoying, recurring drivers side window/upper door frame rattle in my 2008 ES 350, occurs when going over bumps, uneven roads, or sometimes with just normal driving. Intermittent, but very common. Have had dealer address this and they replaced the "glass run" on that side, but rattle returned within a few days. Will try some silicon spray to dampen it, but seems like there is some flaw when the window is full up to door frame that produces this ticking rattle- can eliminate it by lowering the window an inch so that it does not insert into door frame.

I rented my car for a few days on Turo and it returned with this problem. The renter says nothing happened, who knows. When I raise or lower the window, there is a loud pop/crack that happens. It always happens at the same height. I can raise and lower the window for a couple inch around that point and reproduce that sound everythime.
