Prius C :: How To Change From Kph To Mph On Speedometer
I read through the manual but can't figure out how to change to mph on the speedometer. I saw the full size Prius has a button but I see no button on my Prius-c.

Nothing that was suggested in the forum so far works with my car. I agree with the others that it's not in the manual. Do I need to return to the dealer to get it changed?

This morning as soon as I started the car, the speedometer dash turned completely scrambled and the rest of the lights keep blinking/flashing. The car does turn on and drive. Upon drive the Maint Reqd and Low temp icons keep flashing. I think I smell something burning as well but I not sure.
In the video below you can see the scrambling. Occasionally it will just turn off. I tried the battery disconnect but did not work. I definitely think something is burning around dash but cannot be sure.

So I just got some winter tires put on 10 minutes while driving the trac control started blinking and then all the lights on the dash came on and speedometer just went to zero. Still drives but odometer isn't adding mileage and also seems to loose power steering while driving.

If I change the ring & pinion to 4:10 do I need to change the carrier or does my current carrier fit 4:10 & lower [4.63,4.88, 5.13 etc]? Like many Prius, mine has suffered from a persistent dash rattle. The dealer fixed it once while it was still under warranty, and it took an experienced technician several hours to disassemble the dash, fix the rattle, and put it all back together again. Eventually it started rattling again, and I have just lived with it rather than spend the time tearing apart the dash. I figured that any fix would be temporary, and I would likely cause another rattle trying to fix this one.
Well, a couple of days ago we were driving into the city. The rattle was particularly obnoxious, and seemed to be growing in intensity. I pressed on the dash in several places to see if made any difference. The rattle got louder and looser sounding, and then went "Tink!", like the sound of a falling screw, and then went silent. I can only assume that somewhere under my dash there is now a wayward screw. Hopefully it won't cause a short, but at least the rattle is gone for now.

My 2006 Prius wouldn't start yesterday. The dash lights blinked on & off and the fob was locked in the dash. About 5 mins. later it came out. I was able to jump start the car with no prob. I drove to the dlr. & they checked the bat. & charging system. They found no problems, but said I might want to R & R the bat. as it's 5 yrs. I want to stick with the stock bat. Aalso stated that the bat. was fully charged & when I went home I plugged in my battery tender. The car was wired for the tender already although I haven't had the need to use it until now.
