Prius (2010-12) :: Display Not Adjusting To Night Mode
2010 Prius IV. Map display not adjusting to night mode when her headlights are on. I tried looking at my 2014 Prius Three, not III because it isn't a 2010 and only 2010 used uppercase Roman numerals for model designation, to guide her through it over the phone but her menu options seem to be very different from mine as she didn't have an options button on her map.

Prius V (Audio/Electronics) :: Navigation Screen Too Dim At Night After Entune Update
Since having the latest entune update at the dealer, my GPS screen now automatically dims too much when the ambient light is lower in the evening. Tried messing around with the contrast and brightness controls and the rotary dimmer control on the left side of the dash.
Could not get the brightness to be like it was before the update. Street names are pretty much illegible at night. If I raise the brightness at night to the point where I can read the street names, the entire screen is super bright on the eyes.
Took the car to the dealer and they surprisingly agreed this is abnormal. Have an appointment next week to have this problem investigated.?

How do you get the Navi Screen in a 2012 to go into night mode at night? Where is the setting to adjust this so it automatically goes night or day at the right time? Also is there a way to adjust the brightness of the main mph screen (multi information display)?

I have it set to switch automatically, but at night it doesn't darken. I have to go into the map settings and back, then it updates or something and turns on the night mode. Does that use the light sensor, or the time of day?

I recently purchased an 05 prius pack 4, it has an Auto mode on the headlight switch that does not work. as in the headlights do not turn on in pitch black night... From the searches I have done it appears that the car should not have auto headlights and yet it has the switch... I dont think its canadian because it does not have DRLs... if some models DO have auto headlights then what would cause them to not work.

I am having an issue where my Navigation display on my 07 Prius wont respond properly to touch. Like i would press in the left corner and it registers in the right. So i have given up on fixing it and just going to buy a new unit. My question is how can i tell which unit i need so that it fits and i still have all my options that my car has. I am enjoying my new (pre-owned) 2010 Gen III prius and it has been a pleasure so far. My only whine is that the navigation map mode is always in 'North up'' and 2D mode.
In this day and age of the GPS/MAPS world I suppose it wouldnt be too much to ask for a 3D view of the map and default 'driving direction up' mode? Also can the daylight mode be selected even at night or when the headlights are turned ON?
Gen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: 2010 - Navigation Display Stuck In Open Position
I started my Prius and the Navigation Display open on it's own without me touching any buttons as though it wanted me to load a CD. Now it is stuck in the open position and the CD player is making noises like a CD is stuck but do not have a CD in the player.
I have hit every button to try to get it to close, no luck. It is stuck on the FM station I was listening to and will change stations or to AM, CD, SAT. I turned the car on and off several times just stuck open.

I've backed out of my garage the last few mornings and attempted to use the EV mode and have had a message on the display that reads "EV mode is unavailable at this time" or something to that effect. BTW, the traction battery is at normal charge, about 62%. ????

Finally received my Prius 4 a few days ago.. I cannot find the way to get the power mode curve to display on the screen. How to do this? I have been able to get the curve on the HUD but not on the screen next to the speedometer. I do get a bar indicator showing the modes stacked up inside the bar but no curve display.

I had my 07 prius detailed today and it looks real nice BUT, I started it up afterwards and the touchscreen was in diagnostic mode and the warning lights on the dash were acting up. The warning lights seem to be OK now except that the tire pressure indicator flickers like it is partially shorted. The issue with the touch screen is that it alternates every 10-15 seconds between diagnostic mode and the regular display but only when the ICE is running. If I am just sitting in shutdown idle ( like at a stop light) it behaves fine.

I'm having an issue with my Nav system. I'm not sure if its going out or if it's due to the cold weather but it doesn't immediately come on when I start the car. At some point while I'm driving I'll notice that it's on and working but it seems to also be intermittently switching between the day and night time screen mode. How to check to determine if it needs to be replaced or if there is a fix?
