Avalon 2005-12 :: Passenger Side Window Reset - Will Not Open Or Close From Driver Side Control Switch
Replaced the battery on my 07 the other day, and subsequently discovered my passenger side power window would not open or close from driver side control switch. Initially thought the worse of course, that I needed a new motor for the passenger side window. Then I tried the passenger side window switch and the window worked fine.
So now, I think that the switch for the passenger side window (on the driver's side) is bad, and I will need to replace the whole switch control module. Did a search and found the root cause and solution to the problem. Apparently, after replacing a battery, I needed to RESET the passenger side switch from the passenger side, by HOLDING the switch approx. 3 seconds after raising and lowering the window two times.

Having issue with power windows in 2010 Prius. I just noticed today that I can't roll down the rear passenger side window from the driver door switch but all the other windows work, and the rear passenger window works as I can roll down from the door itself.

So last night I go to pick up my daughter and the doors are unlocked but her door won't open. I try from the outside and no luck. I get in the back on the driver's side and the lock button is on. I open the door with some difficulty and it opens. It's been fine since.
Today I tried to open that window and the window wouldn't open from my console or from the rear passenger side switch.

So i haven't used my top for awhile because it's been really hot in texas. I tried it for the first time today and I can't even get the open close switch to blink red? I did a ecu reset by unplugging the battery for 30 minutes nothing. I check the fuses in the trunk and they were all good. I did install the VIas awhile back but I don't think it could be the temp control? I'm assuming if it wasn't plugged in all the way the AC and other functions would not work.

When our 2008 Outback (75K miles) is running the garage door remote in the car will not open or close the door. New batteries in the remote, so that can't be the cause. We have to turn the car motor off, operate the remote, then start the car again. We have to follow the same procedure when getting back into the garage. This just started about a month ago and does not happen with any of the other cars in the garage when opening or closing the same door, i.e. the remotes operate with their motors running. Is it possible there is some new electrical discharge from the car that is causing this? Something unusual with the alternator? Other possible causes?

I had this working once before and for the life of me, I can't seem to get it working again. I went through the convenience menu in the mfd several times and I can't seem to find it in the manual.
Can getting an ecu update or tune remove this feature?

So once in a while, a full press (either up or down) on the drivers side window button does not cause the window to fully open or close fully as it should... I'm wondering if this is something (a "feature") I'm somehow activating and just don't know it, or what. If I roll the window all the way up (needing the hold the button up until the window is all the way up), it will then behave normally--a full press down, release, and the window will go all the way down. I have a 1977 GMC Suburban with a power rear window in the tailgate.It has become very hard for the motor to open or close the window and it makes a screeching sound when being operated. Does the interior window frame need lubricated or is it rubbing on something?. I know there is a access plate on the inside of the tailgate but the window denies access to the inside of the tailgate. Is there a way to open the window when the tailgate is open so I can access the interior of the tailgate?.

I know about the need for resetting the power windows after a battery reset. I have one window, the rear passenger side door, that does not work from the master switch. It does work at the door itself, but the green LED is NOT illuminated, or blinking. When I try to roll the window down on the first press, there is no response, but the LED illuminates solid. At the second press, the window works. When I attempt the reset procedure on the window (press and hold the one touch down after the window closes, then repeat the procedure going up. However, when I do this, the instructions say that the light will be blinking, and you should hold it until it is solid. Mine is solid when I am holding the switch, then after about 10 seconds, the light goes out and does not illuminate again.

I recently recognized a clicking noise from the passenger door when I open it half way or even fully.
up to now I'm still assuming its a lubing issue as it is really cold in here Ottawa, Canada.
I have read a thread that was talking about the same issue and the guy found that there was a bolt wasn't tighten enough from the factory that caused the clicking sound.

I have a 2006 Prius. Just after the Warranty expired which is 3 years in the UK, the passenger door lock would not open. Toyota replaced the lock and it was fine.
