Prius (2004-09) :: Check Engine Light Quickly Blinked And Dashboard Does Not Light Up
This morning I tried to drive my 2008 Prius and the "check engine" light quickly blinked and the dashboard didn't light up. The monitor did turn on and I could hear the engine running. The monitor showed that the hybrid battery was almost full. While trying to go in reverse, the camera did not work. We just had an oil change done. The 12V battery was replaced almost 2 years ago. The car has almost 150K on it. I also tried tightening the gas cap. It's obviously winter and it snowed last night (in case that might be a factor).

I just drove my 2 year old prius during the snowstorm for the first time. While parked, I turned the car on, headlights on, and tried to move the car. The gas engine already shut down during warm-up. Car was stuck in snow. I had to move back and forth on electrical only a few times before getting out.
Here is the question. After a second or third try in reverse, dashboard lights suddenly went totally dark, and would not turn on until headlights were off. I could not drive like that at night, so I stopped and googled it on my cell. Turns out the dimmer was all the way off.
But how???? I did not touch it. The car started just fine, everything working. Only after a few attempts to get of of the snow the dash went out? Is there something wrong with the electrical circuit? I did try to move the car very gently, without flooring the pedal.

The air bag light on the dashboard has come on. I took the car into my dealership. The upshot is they said they'd have to rip the interior apart to track the problem or "Break in the floor wiring harness."

Got flagged by a fellow driver, and told both tail lights were out; I had no dashboard warning light. Headlights were on, blinkers worked, brake lights worked. This is a small deal, but I was surprised; is there really no warning for this (2006 mid-package), or is something else the matter?

2008 Prius. I just passed by 5K oil change by a 50 miles or so, so my maintenance light was on, but when I was driving it on the expressway today suddenly the red triangle light and check engine light came on, I immediately pulled over onto the shoulder and had it towed. I have a 2004 with 131,000 miles on it. It has been working perfectly with general maintenance since we bought it used with 100,000 miles on it in 2008. For the holiday weekend we drove from Prescott, AZ to San Diego (aprox. 400 miles) and we turned on the car as usual and the speedometer and all the dash lights wouldn't go on. Turn Signals were fine. Tried turning off and on again and same thing. We weren't going far, so we drove it and tried to park and it wouldn't shut off. We couldn't get the key out. We drove around a little more and it shut off. When we turned it back on, everything was fine. This happened one more time but no trouble turning the car off. I also thought that it was interesting that on the touch screen/nav when the dash was "out" the consumption meter was blank. What is going on with my car?

I have a problem with Airbag light - it blinks in the dashboard. The dealer turned it off twice (by connecting their computer) but it came back again. I'm pretty sure (and the dealer thinks the same) the problem is related to wiring because the light does not blink sometimes. And, when it does not blink, sometimes it starts blinking again, especially when I drive fast and make a "sharp turn" (hope that makes sense).
So far, I only know the faulty airbag is in the driver's seat (the dealer told me so). Since they turn the light off and it comes back again later, they suggest me leaving the car in the service, so they can remove the driver's seat and check the issue.
Lexus GX 2004-09 :: Blinking Red Light With Key Logo On Dashboard?
2008 GX and I noticed that there is blinking red light with key logo on my dash. When locked, it stays lit and does not blink. Is this normal?
How can I eliminate it? Just worried that it might drain the battery. Any reset procedure or anything? I can't see any instruction on the owners manual.
Ford F-150 (2004-2008) :: Brake Light On Dashboard Comes On And Off
The brake light on my 08 F150's dash comes on and off whenever it feels like it. Have had the brakes inspected and they are good and the e-brake switch is okay. Is there a fluid level switch in the master cylinder? The level is okay but maybe this switch could have a bad attitude?

I have both a 2010 Prius and a new v and have just noticed that if you press the 'Econ' button once, the little light goes on in the dashboard. If you press it again, the little light goes off. The same occurs with the 'pwr' button.

I have a 2004 Prius @ 150k miles that randomly shut down today at idle.
My girlfriend was driving the car at the time and I received a call saying that the car would not start and she was stuck under a bridge. Apparently she was at a red light when the car died and it wouldn't start, so some people pushed the car out of the intersection. When I got there, the car started up fine, but I did notice that the traction battery was just about fully drained.
She mentioned that the car felt like it was in limp mode and that when she braked the whole car shook. After the car died, she tried to start it but it would just click, and it showed the red triangle. I've been driving the car for a few miles on and off the highway and no problems now and the red triangle never reappeared.
Past history of the car is just a P0420 CEL which is either the sensors or probably the cat. I just had the CEL re-read and its now showing in addition P0171 and P0121. I'm not sure when the P0171 and P0121 came up, but I did clean the MAF less than 10k miles ago.

I was recently driving along the highway when I hit a small dip in the road (nothing serious, i drive over this everyday) and all three of the lights mentioned in the subject line came on. Nothing physical otherwise was noticed, as far as I could tell the car drove and has driven the same since.

I saw two older posts regarding no dash board lights. It is super cold here as in minus 3 degrees. Somewhat unusual for Kansas. When I started my car I had no dash board instrument lights but the MPG monitor does work. Also when I tried to shut down the power button wouldnt turn the car off and consequently the key would not release. I took it to Toyota and he told my I had the dimmer turned down(I had already tried turning it several times) to the off position. He put a new battery in the key remote and things seemed to work fine. This morning it was another sub-zero day and the same problems happened all over again. This time they diagnosed a sealed junction box on the driver side that has poor connections that seem fail due to the cold weather that needs to be replaced. It will all start all over again when it sits over night in the cold.

I have had the Prius for a little over 2 years now. Bought used and currently close to 150K miles on it and have put on about 25K miles a year.
This evening on way back home, when I turned on the Prius, I got the Red Triangle along with a bunch of other lights ON the dashboard.
Pressing the power button and everything would take much longer than usual - the lights(on the clock) was dim, the windows moved up and down rather slowly.
Eventually, i had to jump start and carefully drive home. Afraid it would stop somewhere at stop signs or long red lights, i constantly kept pumping the accelerator(not sure if that was good). Seems like need to replace the 12V battery.
