Prius (2004-09) :: 2005 - Heat Only Works When Engine Not Running
I recently ran very low on coolant with my 2005 Prius and had the overheat light coming on. Immediately before the overheat light came on, I realized that the blower was blowing cold air even though the engine was running. When the light came on, I immediately stopped and refilled coolant at the overflow reservoir and the radiator and let it run through a few times. I have re-topped off the coolant levels and it seems to be holding steady. Hopefully I have not done long-term damage to the engine, but that remains to be seen, and is, of course, very possible given that I let it get so low.
A symptom I have right now is that when I turn the car/engine on, hot air does not come out of the blower. If I remain in park, when the engine turns off, hot air begins to come out. When the engine kicks back in, the hot air stops. What this may be a symptom of?

I can only go forward in the B mode until the car warms up.

The audio system sound in my 2005 GX470 suddenly quit working properly.
When first starting the car, I have no sound from any of the system sources (am/fm radio; tape; cd player). After the heater warms up the car, usually about 5-6 minutes, the sound comes on and all sources work fine.

I have a 2007 Sonata. It is freezing outside now, and when I first get into my car the wiper fluid comes out just fine, but after my car warms up it does not come out at all. All other discussions I have found apply to the opposite, and no doubt more common, situation of ice buildup in the lines and then thawing when the car warms up. Is there something that could be expanding when the car gets hot and pinching the line? I do not have this problem in the summer.

1997 Ford Econoline HD Club Wagon E350 2wd 250k 6.8l V-10 Factory front and rear air, rear evap is there but all other components were removed from previous owner to use as a work van.
Air works great other than at idle it warms up some, not a real big issue at the moment, and also has a small vac leak somewhere as under heavy throttle or towing any bog will change vents to defrost and floor. not a big deal at the moment.
My issue right now is I was driving yesterday down the interstate air on full blast freezing me real good (awesome at speed on these 100 degree days in NC) and all of a sudden ambient air, no more awesomeness.
I pulled over to take a quick look but was way too hot to sit on the side of the interstate and look further, got the ole girl home and looked at it today.
Compressor kicks on as it should, but all the lines stay the same no condensation, blend door is moving to adjust from any vents the control tells it to.
My question is if it was low on freon the compressor wouldnt kick on at all, and if its up and cycling correctly why aren't the lines becoming cold? the temp door is also working as with the van warm the air will blow hot then when i switch it back to cold it gets cool just not cold, temp of air around blower.

I have my daytime running lights on all the time since purchase in 2004 - this is the first time I am changing any kind of bulb on the car.Headlights are ok when starting car, but after it warms up the headlight goes off. Took it to my local repair shop and they said the connector was loose but that night the headlight was off again.

04 f250 364000 miles 06 6.0. New fan clutch. Ac didn't work when I put the engine in found out the fan clutch was bad so I replaced it. Now it doesn't turn at idle until the engine warms up even if I have the ac on. In the mornings it comes on and keep the temp at 190. In the after noon when if finally comes on truck runs at 210 to 190. Fss 530 when on at 210 at idle. And 800 at 1200 rpm what is going on.

I have a 2005 Toyota Prius. All signs show the car's engine isn't receiving any gas. I started looking for the fuel pump but wasn't having much luck. I know what a typical fuel pump looks like and found nothing of the sort. I started taking the fuel tank down to get a better insight on the matter but it got dark so I left the job unfinished. As I started researching more into it, I'm not finding any information on fuel pumps for this generation Prius?? Looking up Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for example, they'll list a fuel pump for the 2001-2003 generation, skip the 2004-2005 and go right into 2006-2009. Is there no fuel pump in a 2005 Prius?? And if not, what system is being used to deliver the fuel? If the engine isn't receiving fuel, where should I be looking?

I am owning 2008 Prius 2nd gen car since last may 2012, 2 days before when i was stooped and restarting he car my main display screen wont work and touch screen wont work either. after that i reset the car and kept it for 5 minutes. it works after the reset and went on to 260Km. today morning when i start the car same problem appears and cannot fix it like last time by during the resetting the system.

Friday morning i got in my car to go to work, noticed that the gas engine never turn on but thought maybe the hybrid battery level was high. Drove about 300ft and noticed the gas engine never turned on and now the hybrid battery level was very low, immediately i turned around to go back home but before i made it the car shut off.
Current dash lights on are, Red triangle, vsc, abs, brake light, a yellow light with a circle and exclamation point, my gas gauge flash full to empty, (YES IM SURE I HAVE GAS IN TANK). Recently replaced 12v battery with yellow top optima battery. Also the check engine light IS NOT ON.
Prius (2004-09) :: 2005 - Engine Swapped Now Car Won't Become Ready
Im having some issues after swapping the engine on my 05. The swap went well and i hooked everything back up the way it was. I have triple checked every connection. If I am missing one then it is hidden extremely well.
I reconnected the HV and Aux batteries but the car will not go into ready mode. All the warning lights come on and the screen shows problem!
The inverter coolant pump is running, my basic obd2 scanner shows no codes.
Prius (2004-09) :: Have Two Fobs But Only One Works
My girlfriend has a 2006 prius with two fobs, one fob works just fine opens/closes doors and red led illuminates, the other fob does not; I have replaced the cr 2032 battery, and verified that the battery works with a voltmeter. no battery energizes this fob as determined by depressing the membrane switches and NOT seeing any red led illumination. I could possibly fix the circuit if I could separate the two plastic housings.

I've decide to replace the engine in a 2005 Prius. For whatever reason it went bad around 110,000 miles. It was making some noise and then went all at once. I don't know the complete maintenance history of the car, but I know it was pretty regular. I also know the car was driven mainly highway miles and on A LOT of dirt roads. So, the oil may have needed more frequent oil changes.

We have a 2005 Prius with 77,400 miles on it. My wife came home from a short trip yesterday saying the engine was shaking the car and the CEL was flashing. About 4 months ago we also had the CEL come on but not flash and it ran a bit rough but not as bad as it is now. I was told by our local dealer that a flashing light is worse than if the light comes on and stays on. When this happened 4 months ago at 74,000 miles the dealer said they downloaded codes P300, 303, and 304 and that I needed to replace all 4 fuel injectors.
I realize that 300 is a general misfire code and 303 is a misfire code for cylinder 3 and 304 is for cylinder 4. After reading some advice on here 4 months ago, I cleaned my MAF sensor, ran some fuel injector cleaner through a tank of fuel, replaced all 4 spark plugs, and started buying Chevron gas. The CEL stayed off and our mileage went back to normal. I thought I had solved the problem but now this after 3000+ miles. I checked all the ingitors, connections, spark plugs, and wires yesterday and all seem to be in good condition. Maybe they were right and the fuel injectors are going bad. I am at a loss as what else to do other than take it back to the dealer now and plan do that this afternoon.
Prius (2004-09) :: 2005 - Gas Engine Noise / Bad Water Pump?
My 2005 Prius sounds louder to me than normal. The car has 117,000 miles on it and is in great condition. Anyways I can hear, maybe, on the gas engine what sounds like a bad water pump or tension pulley, not sure though? I checked the water pump area and there is no visible signs of a leak or dried pink coolant. If the water pump is indeed bad what can I expect at the Toyota dealership cost wise?

2006 Prius with 58,000 miles. Drive in San Diego and Palm Springs. Earlier this year, the A/C would just cut off, maybe about once a week. The control panel indicated the A/C should be on, but absolutely no function. Drive around for 20 minutes, and all of a sudden, it would come on and work perfectly. It is starting to happen on a daily basis now...sometimes it won't work from start, other times it just cuts out while driving. I can park the car and shut the car off with the A/C working, then come back 30 minutes, and no A/C. It doesn't seem to matter which setting is selected. The control panel accepts all commands, but no function changes when the A/C has shut itself off. Loose connection somewhere? It works about 90% of the time, and blows very cold. When it shuts itself off, no air passes through the vents at all.
