Toyota - Avalon :: Temp Gauge Stopped Registering And AC Stopped Blowing Cold Air While Driving
As I was driving, my break light came on and my ABS light came on. Also, the temp gauge stopped registering and my AC stopped blowing cold air. Is this a familiar problem or do i have a legit electrical problem.

100 degrees in Florida a couple days ago and I pop the ol' AC and chilled seats on. It is like a blowdryer on my face. Uh-oh.
After pushing multiple buttons and settings, I can't get the air cold....except on the right side of the car.
The right/center vent and far right vent in the front, and the rear passenger right vent will blow cold, while the left/center, far left, and rear left vent blow warm-hot air. Tried everything from Low to 70 to 74....same results. The right side will adjust up to heat if I put it on hot air matching the left side.
Are there two compressors in the car? Is there a stuck vent? Fuse issue? Something more sinister?
Passat (B5) :: Car Stopped Blowing Hot Air Out Of The Vents
I have a 2003 Passat 4Motion wagon with the 2.8 VR6 motor. I am currently having an issue with the air conditioning / climatronic unit. In the summer when the A/C is on, if the car is stopped hot air blows out of the vents. As soon as I start moving the air is ice cold. I have checked the compressor, had it recharged and everything on that end looks good.

My air conditioning just stopped blowing cool air. While the blower still operates properly, the air is coolest (but not nearly cool enough or normal) at the extreme right passenger vent, then is progressively warmer toward the driver's side, with the warmest vent being the extreme left at the driver's side next to door. I'm inept at mechanics in general, and especially with autos, which is why I bought the BMW (which tells you when it needs service) to begin with. The only thought I had was that I recently had the car detailed and the engine washed at the BMW dealership. Could something have come loose when power washed under the hood? I'm hesitant to take it back since my last experience was not a good one. I have of course checked all the settings.

I went in for an oil change and told them to visually inspect the car for a water leak. There was another phaeton in the shop with a water problem that was costing the customer thousands so I thought they might be able to see a red flag. I get the car back and they told me they blew air through the sunroof vents.
I've had the passenger foot well carpet up to monitor the floor to see if water has been leaking since I sealed around a couple batter terminal points that went through the firewall, and it had been dry.
But I had a feeling blowing that air through the vents might have dislodged the hose from the connector, so I put some water through the sunroof vent, and it totally started pouring into the footwell. It had NEVER done that when pouring water through the sunroof vent when I was diagnosing it before.
I feel like the dealer made the problem worse by blowing air down there, and now the dash is probably going to have to come out, and i'm assuming they will make me pay for it.
Lexus RX 2004-09 :: Fan Blowing Loudly And AC Just Stopped
Ok, so about 3 months ago I noticed the fan was blowing kinda loudly, but stopped. Then 2 weeks ago, my AC just stopped the next morning it started blowing again, then 2 days later it stopped again and hasn't come back on. When I try to turn it on I can feel a light trickle of cool air but I don't hear the fan. .. what does this sound like?

I have a 2007 Sonata 2.0 crdi which is poorly. The heater stopped blowing out hot air on Saturday. The heater is only blowing slightly warm air. The passenger side seems to be slightly warmer. I have looked at the side of the heater matrix whilst rotating the temp control on the passenger side and this moves the plastic adjuster on the matrix freely. When I turn the fan speed controller then the adjustment on the drivers side on the matrix moves. Both of these move freely.

2001 LX 2.7L 4WD. Was driving home the other day. Stopped along the way, and when I restarted the car, the ac was blowing hot air. It was working perfectly up to this point. It did not fail with any noise, just quit working.
After some tests, I've realized that the clutch coil is open, and the clutch does not engage. It is getting power when the ac button is pressed. The clutch spindle turns manually, but there is some resistance - it does not spin freely. Also, there is a whining noise now when driving - even without the clutch actuated - I'm thinking its a bad bearing in the compressor.
Repair shops want to do the whole compressor replacement job. What are my chances of getting away with the coil and bearing replacement as stated in this thread Ac In-op ? Or is the clutch resistance and the whining noise a sign that the compressor is dead?
Elantra MD (2010-15) :: Heater / AC Fan Stopped Blowing Air
We have a 2013 Elantra. This evening we washed the car and when we started up again, the heater / ac fan inside the cabin would not blow air. I looked at the fuse panel by the driver's left knee and checked the 3 fuses labeled 'blower'. They were all fine. There are a couple of fuses under the hood that are also labeled 'blower' but I'm not sure which of them might be the one I'm looking for?

All of a sudden the AC in my 2007 Passat 2.0 stopped blowing cold air. It worked great yesterday. I'm worried that it might be the compressor because I don't have the 1000+ dollars to have it replaced. I bought the car in 2009 but I'm almost sure it is out of warranty because I've put more than 50,000 miles on it. I read some posts that the AC might need to simply be recharged ?????

This is on a 06 GTI. Yesterday my AC just stopped blowing cold. I checked the fuses did not find any that were bad. Belts are new, compressor is spinning, not sure if the clutch is engaging, can't hear anything clicking etc. Upon further investigation it is doing some weird stuff. Fan speed works fine, blows air but no cold air however if I try and get hot air (the heater) there is no change in air temp. If I turn the "ECON" button on and off no change. If I turn on the front defrost then I get Hot air but that is the only way I can get any temp change hot or cold, nothing will make it blow cold just to clarify. Last odd thing is if I crank the heat up to max I get no airflow from anywhere!? What is going on?

I took my truck to autozone to get a new flasher relay because my old one was making alll sorts of noise. After replacing nothing was fixed. I moved my tilt steering up and magically my blinkers worked. In the mean time the autozone guy was messing with the relays under the steering column and then in noticed my heater wasn't blowing any air, i turned it to A/C and still nothing, defrost nothing. so I replaced the relay next to the flasher relay and still nothing? Also the manual says nothing about a fuse designated to the blower fan, and all fuses checked out ok!!

I plan on taking my (new to me) 2004 V8 Phaeton in for some CPO work - already.. A couple days ago all my Driver Side air vents (front, back, even ventilated seat) started blowing non-cooled air while the passenger side seemed to be working fine. You can literally stick your hand up and feel the difference between the left and right side of the clock.
The question is, are there 2 compressors - one for the left and one for the right? or is this some weird fuse that has blown and only affected the driver's side? The fan functions just the same - just not cooling the air on the driver's side. I have all the zones connected together and at the lowest setting for the test.
Prius (Gen 3) :: 2012 - Air (Hot Or Cold) Stopped Blowing Completely
Issue I have with my 2012 Prius I bought about 9 months ago. The air stopped blowing completely. No hot air blowing, no cold air blowing. It is starting to get warm out now and need some AC. Is it the blower motor under the glove box that has gone out? Seems odd.

Yesterday I was driving with the AC on. I had it on the setting that blows out of all 4 dash vents (left, right, and two middle). I switched it to the option that should blow from the 4 dash vents and the vents in the floor/bottom. All of a sudden the two middle vents in the dash stopped blowing.
I have played with the settings - on, off, all the way hot, all the way cold - nothing from the two mid vents. The left and right vent blow with no problem. There is also cold air coming from the vent near the windshield - just the two middle dash vents are not functioning.
I found one thread that mentioned the problem may be with the "levers" or "actuators" that I have pictured here. I just replaced the 12v battery.
Ford - Escape :: 2012 - AC Stopped Blowing Cold Air
Last summer, the A/C on our 2012 Ford Escape stopped blowing cold air. We took it to our mechanic (who I trust). They checked for leaks but found none. They did an evacuation and recharge of the system. Cold air started blowing again! Then 2-3 weeks later, my wife says she saw a puff of smoke come out of the vents (not sure if it was smoke or vapor or what). The A/C stopped blowing cold air shortly after that. We took it back to the mechanic. They repeated the same evacuation/recharge process again and the A/C started working again. 2-3 weeks later, we saw the same puff and then no cold air.
That happened last Fall, so we waited until this spring to try again. Just took it back to mechanic. They checked the levels and the pressure was good before they did anything else. No leaks. They did the evacuation/recharge and the air is now blowing cold again. But, I have no reason to think it will last.
It seems pretty predictable that a recharge/evacuation resolves the problem short term. Why it's not lasting? What, if anything, could I try to diagnose? Seems that my mechanic does not know what else to try.
Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: AC / Heater - Blower Stopped Blowing Air
My 2009 Santa Fe GLS a/c, heater, etc. blower has stopped blowing air. I have checked the fuses, did the push test on the air adjustment button but nothing has worked. Sometimes it's like I can feel a VERY SMALL amount of air blowing out the vents.
