Lexus ES 2013+ :: Replacing Front And Rear Dome Lights With LEDs?
I want to replace the front and rear dome lights with LED's. I removed the rear plastic cover but can not remove the bulb. The only thing I can grab is the glass bulb and pulled but it will not release. I see a very small black tab at the base of the bulb and tried pushing it in, to the left and right but won't budge.

For interior lights, the tacked thread mentions 39mm Festoon. However, when I go to Super Bright LEDs and put in my year, make and model (2002 EX), I get 578 LED Bulb - 8 LED Festoon - 44mm for replacement interior bulbs. Which is correct? 39mm or 44mm? Is there that big of a difference between the two? Will either size work?
I just want to make sure I order the right size to fit a 2002 EX. ETA: I want to start with ordering a few each of 5900K and 4300K just to see the difference in the truck and want to make sure I get the right ones. I don't want the Close Encounters look going on inside.

Need to know if the little icons on your interior 'dome' lights illuminate red when your instrument cluster lights are on? (Just like the power window and dash vent icons..) Audis do, but I've never seen a W8 Passat at night to be able to tell.
Looking for a pic of your interior roof lighting? (Not the center console one near the sunroof control...that of course lights up and shows icons.) I'm looking for the ones towards the rear of the car.
Passat (B6) :: Dome Lights Went Out Along With The Visor And Trunk Lights
I own a 2006 2.0T FSI Passat. "auto". A few weeks ago i was switching out my interior dome lights for cosmetics. I had 5 of 6 installed and while putting in the last bulb, all my dome lights went out along with the visor lights and trunk lights. I'm pretty good when it come to electronics but just can't seem to find the problem.
Fuses are ok
Lights are ok
But somewheres between the fuse box and the lights there is something wrong.

I have a 2006 passat and today when i was switching the bulbs out with different colored ones and the lights just went out along with the visor lights. I have checked all the fuses and bulbs to make sure they just didnt blow. There isnt much on the internet about this topic. What i have found out on the net is it could maybe be the (CCM). But i am unable to find that also.

I have done some vag com mods, and noticed that the front dome lights and one of rear lights in the roof, are dimming very low, is it some kind of convenience stuff or something is messed up?
Done all the coding through long coding so it should be fine, however I think it might be the case (of wrong voltage, I am using leds in interior lighting, or it is due to some comfort options....)

Yesterday I saw one with just one "square" of LEDs burned-out, and today I saw one with the left-most row (5 squares vertical) inactive but the other 7 still working. I replaced all the interior halogen lights, parking lights and license plate lights with cool white LEDs. They look good and all was fine until the last step while installing the license plate lights. I plugged one side then turn the light switch on to verify the polarity to see if bulb would come on which it did. Same process for the second license plate light but this time around after turning on the light switch to see if it was plugged in right, I noticed the brake lights didn't come on. So I flipped the switch around a few times and nothing. Now the DRLs do not come on either as well as the parking lights. The only lights that work now are the head lights and interior lights. What happened how do I fix???
