Impala - Chevrolet :: 2003 Won't Start - Don't Recognize Park Or Neutral Only Recognize Reverse
I have a 2003 chevy impala that won't start it does not recognize park or neutral but it recognizes reverse drive and 321 I'm thinking it's the safety neutral switch which I think is in the transmission. I can jump the solenoid and it will start.
View 1 RepliesPassat (B5) :: Driver Door Won't Recognize As Being Open
I believe that my Driver Door is not recognized as being open at times. Odd things happen. Most notably the Ding for the 'Hey you left your Lights On' does not ding. Though if I shut the Door, Lock with remote, then wait a few seconds, then unlock with remote then open the door, it dings again until I turn off the Lights.
View 5 RepliesLexus RX 2010-15 :: What Audio Formats Work With USB Stick
By audio formats I mean: mp3, wav, wma, ape, flac, etc.
Most of my music collection is in FLAC.
I would rather not convert the file format just to copy to USB stick for car. My USB stick is large enough for storing a lot of files in a "lossless" format. I looked through the electronic (online version) manuals but could not find a reference to audio file formats.
I have the navigation if that matters for this question.
Prius (Gen 2) :: MP3 Podcasts On CD - File List Button Grayed Out
I listen to long mp3 podcasts burned to a cd in my 2008 Prius (non-DVD). The file list button in the upper right corner of the screen is often grayed out. Occasionally it lights up and I can use it but most of the time I can't. What's going on here?

View 19 RepliesGen 3 Prius (Audio/Electronics) :: MP3 File Size Limitation For USB Drive Audio Playback?
I presently use a 16GB USB drive that has about 240 MB of 2 to 10 MB mp3 files and it works well. The reason I ask is that SirisXM is going to drop my favorite channel (69) and I was thinking of making some large files of audio capture before it goes away. Large because its easier to make and play a few than many. There might be a file size limitation (not USB storage limitation) due to the amount of memory in the audio system.

Despite changing battery in key fob the car sometimes doesn't recognize my key fob. Dealer wants $99 to diagnose it. What should I do?
View 8 RepliesLexus LS 2007+ :: Car Won't Recognize Key Fob
I have a 2008 ls460 and lately noticed an intermittent remote entry problem. I'll walk up to the car and it will not recognize my key fob, so the door will not open. I've tried all 4 doors and even have held the key fob in my hand while pulling on the door handle. I've replaced the battery and still have the problem. If I manually press the "unlock" button on the remote, the door will unlock. This only happens every so often.
View 9 RepliesPrius (Gen 3) :: Cannot Recognize When IPod 2 Connected
Loving the car, but I'm having an issue trying to get an older iPod (like iPod 2) to connect to my car. It keeps saying it can't recognize/connect to it. The iPod just continues to charge (even though it was just completely charged). I'm plugging it in using the USB inside of the console.

Prius (Gen 2) :: 2007 Vehicle Doesn't Recognize CDs
I've burned two CD-Rs with MP3s via the latest iTunes (10.7). When I put the CDs either in the 6-CD Changer OR the single player, the Prius acts like it doesn't recognize them. I can get it to "play" "track 1," but no sound comes out, and when I press skip, it just moves "track 1" to "0:00" and starts again.
When I look at the MP3 CD on my computer, I see that iTunes put everything into folders:
01 Artist -- > 01 Album --> file.mp3
So it looks like everything copied correctly.
What am I missing?
Are the folders screwing the Prius up?
Golf V R32 :: Reset TPMS To Recognize New Sensors?
Got my OZ wheels on, with a new set of TPMS sensors. The old sensors stayed with the OEM wheels for winter tires. How do I reset the system to recognize the new sensors? I have a VAG-COM kit, is this required or is there a method to do this through the MFD?
View 2 RepliesPrius V :: Won't Recognize Smart Key After Filling Gas Tank
The last several times I've gone for gas, the car won't recognize the smart key after fill up, either in or out of the slot. It does not recognize either of my 2 smart keys. I have changed the batteries in both keys. I am able to lock/unlock doors, but not start the car. The red light on the dash indicates there is no key. Dealer cannot find the problem. Eventually the car does start after some time (5 to 20 minutes) and I have not been able to identify what changes to make it so.

I have had the same android cell phone for over 3 years and have had my 13 GS350 for the same with no problems before..
In the last month whenever I get into my car the Bluetooth in my car does not recognize my phone. I have to turn off my Bluetooth from my phone and turn it back on. No problem then for the rest of the day. Everything works ok until the next morning.
Is the problem with my phone or with my car?
Santa FE SM (2001-06) :: 2003 V6 Doesn't Recognize D Selection
Recently our 2003 SF, 2.7 v6, has begun not recognizing the ''D'' selection. It seems to know you want ''R'' or n or P. It has given a P0705 code indicating a problem with the switch that governs this. Where is the switch located ? Is it available from local parts or would you go to a dealer to get one. Assuming I can get to it; do I need any special tools ? It ain't much fun if you cant drive it.

View 1 RepliesPrius (2010-12) :: Car Computer No Longer Recognize The Hybrid System
I brought my 2012 Prius in on St. Patrick's Day for routine scheduled maintenance and was informed about the recall--I hadn't even known yet. I was told it would just take an additional 45 minutes for the software update--no big deal. Except that it was.
They said the computer that was hooked up to my car crashed during the update, and my car computer would no longer recognize the hybrid system. They had no explanation for the crash and said their computer had a full battery, etc. so it didn't make sense, but they would call Toyota to find out way to do and in the meanwhile I would have a rental.
It is April 7 and I still have the rental. They said the part needed, a new computer, is on backorder. They hope it will be in by the end of April but there are no guarantees.
Corolla / Matrix 2009-13 :: Some Part Of Car Fell Under Passenger Seat But Can't Recognize It
I have a corolla 2009 and everything has been running great except that we found a falling part under the car yesterday. I don't know where the part came from or if it's even part of the car. Tell me if it's a major problem or something minor or a non-issue.
This was found under the passenger side under the car pretty much where the middle of the door is. [URL] …..
F Series :: 2008 F450 Security System Does Not Recognize Key After Battery Disconnected
Took my '08 F450 super duty into a reputable snow plow dealership and had them install a brand new plow on my truck. They phoned me this morning to say that the truck's security system does not recognize the key, possibly caused by the fact that they had to disconnect the battery during the plow install. So now my truck is stuck at their shop ! Just hoping I don't have to get it towed to a Ford dealership.
View 1 RepliesPrius V :: Engine Won't Recognize Drive / Cruise Control - Accelerates The Vehicle On Its Own
I have a 2012 Prius v. It has intermittent, minor to serious problems that have not been detected by the computer. These include, when engine is READY, it won't recognize Drive. When in Drive is moves in Reverse, has locked keys in the car and does not always recognize key. The Cruise Control sometimes accelerates the vehicle on its own.
The Braking option doesn't always work properly. When touching the brakes the lights turn off. Sometimes when turning the lights on or off, the radio turns off. A new problem is that the brakes almost fail to engage, then, at the last minute they do. Toyota has sent a regional rep to take a test drive with computer diagnostics and found nothing. So, they won't do anything. These problems have occurred since I purchased the vehicle.
I have suggested that they trade cars with me while someone else drives it until they experience these events (actually the very first event was seen by a service person but that doesn't count, apparently); change computers; reprogram the computer. They won't do any of these things. It seems that if it doesn't show up on the computer when they are looking at it they won't do anything. There can be a long time between events and the events sometimes occur in clusters.
