Passat (B6) :: Chrome Circle Trim Around The Interior Blinker Indicator
What this part is called? or where I could find a replacement? I just noticed my left blinker looks like the chrome ring came off at some point? def doesn't look nice and shiney like the right side, speedometer or tach chrome circle gauge trims.

I've got an '07 2.0T MT6 Sport with about 18,000 miles. The round chrome trim ring on the fan speed control knob of the Climatronic panel came loose yesterday. This is the piece between the rotating knob and the two buttons in the center. It's now sticking out a little from the knob and is rattling around.
Is there a way to pop this back on easily? It doesn't look like it's going to fall off completely, but I can't find a way to put it back either. Obviously it should be covered under warranty, but I'd like to avoid a trip to the dealer if there's an easy DIY fix.
Touareg :: Cleaning The Chrome Trim?
The trim that goes around the windows, etc. I looked at the topics on detailing in the FAQ and didn't see this mentioned in them. My trim has water marks on it from water drying on it after the detailers at the lot cleaned the car before I picked it up Friday. I am hoping to get the car all cleaned up and a good sealant and wax put on it before I start heading to Colorado for skiing in about a month.
Anyways, that trim is driving me nuts because every kind of metal polisher, cleaner, etc. I find on the detailing sites says to keep it off painted surfaces which I think would be about impossible since that strip is about 1cm wide and runs right along painted body panels.
Camry :: Blacking Out Chrome Window Trim?
My main question is since I don't like the chrome on my windows and I am getting visors what are my option. Is it common to just put the clip ins and leave the chrome or do what i have been reading which is to black out your chrome? If i put the 3m typed style visors do i go right on top of the chrome or not and if not how do i go about blacking that out? Which brand 3m stick on visors recommended for the darkest color and slickest look?

How can I take the below door chrome trim off? I started wrapping one in 5d carbon fiber and I am about to take it off and start again. It would be so much easier if i could snap these off.

Trying to find a local shop here that will wrap my chrome trim around my grill. I had one shop tell me that they would have to section the grill near the top and that it couldn't be wrapped in one piece. I was shown an example and it was terrible, the overlay line was way too visible. I went to another shop today that said they could wrap it in one piece but I would need to take the trim piece off and bring it to them first. Any close pics of grill trim I could use as a reference.

I test drove a 04 V6 passat today and it was great, except the little orange LED lights as part of the bottom/center display in the instrument cluster were "fading" at the top and bottom. eventually they came back up and were brighter, but it wasn't anything that the headlight or interior light controls had any influence over. below is NOT an example of the problem itself, but the bright orange box is what I'm talking about.

I have an issue with my rear view. It seems like the tint is fading out in certain parts of it, its like the nighttime sensor is broken or something . The chrome shift cap came off and I lost it. Accidentally threw it away somehow. Looks like crap now!
Someone had posted that they had gotten a replacement from their dealer. I went to my dealer and all he would sell me was THE WHOLE SHIFT UNIT. All I need is to pop the little cap on top of the shifter, not replace the entire unit.
What I was wondering is if you have gotten just the cap from your dealer, what might the part number be so I can get one.

It worries me that this is happening as they might come out completely during driving or whatever. It's not the chrome strips on the sides but the ones that are near the windows on the doors. It's both the chrome strips on the window/door sills and the non-chrome strips on top sides of the roof. I check them every now and then and just use my finger to pop them back in if they come out but it's just weird that this happens.
Also I have a bad rattle from the broken plastic cover thing under the steering wheel. (probably broken when changing brake thingie controller or whatever the mechanic said.
