Passat (B6) :: 2007 2.0T Sedan Will Not Start
My 2.0T Passat sedan will not start for 3 weeks now. It is at a dealer and they seem to be unsure what to do for it. I see there is alot of this issue with the 3.6 wagon, but is it a growing problem for the sedan as well? My service advisor indicated to me that there are several others at their shop with the same problem.

My 2006 passat trunk is not closing in cold weather. Even if it stays the alarm beep will not come on indicating it is not closed. If I let it sit under the sun (or warm garage), it will lock.

Car is a 2002 b5.5 1.8t sedan.
Bought the DDM Tuning HIDs, 3500k 35w for the fogs, installed with no problems. Also ordered the 5000k 35w for the low beams. Installed them, they flickered on for a second, then nothing. Let the ballasts charge for a while but still nothing. Called DDM, they said my car needs a error code eliminator kit thing later they were at my doorstep. Plugged one side in, flicked on then nothing. Thought both sides might need the code eliminators plugged in...wrong. both flickered on, and then nothing. Tried again, no flicker, both low beam fuses burned. Plugged the regular bulbs in, changed the fuses, lights working again.
I don't know much about electrical, but DDM said i def don't need a relay kit. Do I need a relay kit? Or would putting higher amperage fuses in the place of the original ones work? if so what amperage?
Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Sun Visors Falling Down
Sun visors are falling down. Question: the first step in removing the old visor is to remove the plastic trim cap that hides the phillips screws that retain the sunvisor.
What's the best way to do this (without breaking the cap - that is)? The tsb issued back in '08 says something like "use the appropriate body trim remover". Does the thing just pop off?
Passat (B6) :: 2010 Sedan 2.0T - Driver Side Headlight Flickers When Accelerate
I have a 2010 passat sedan 2.0T. I had DDM 35w 6k HID's installed and ever since this was installed I have had problems galor with my headlights. first the drivers side went out then the passenger side went out. them ballest were bad and then bulbs you get the picture. However now my drivers side headlight flickers when I accelerate and I can not figure out how to fix this.

I got a "Bulb Out" warning but all the bulbs were working...so I go inspect all the lights on the wagon and notice the taillight is melted and falling apart on the inside! Wtf?? Ugh...!! I have a 2007 Passat 2.0t Sedan. My wife broke the front engine mount this morning and now it will crank, but will not start. Put my code reader on it and it is throwing camshaft position sensor, misfire cyl. 4, fuel rail pressure low, and Mass Air Flow sensor codes. It looks like the insert of the mount is wedged against the belt. Would the engine mount being broken cause any of these codes for some reason? and would the mount against the belt cause it to not start?

The interior trim pieces that are located where the ceiling intersects with the door are falling out. I tried using Gorilla glue to hold them in place but the heat keeps melting it. If I order the new part from the dealer is the trim easy to install myself?

2006 Prius. Parked it last night and it was fine. Woke up this morning to a shredded tire, falling off the rim. (Right front tire). Question, can this possibly happen while parked? Maybe thieves tried to steal the tire but could not? Or, did our teenage son sneak out with the car and damage the tire?

The only problem I am having with this car is that the sunglass case in the overhead console behind the sunroof controls will not stay shut. It keeps falling open. I suspect it will have to be replaced. I hate to go to the dealer if I don't have to.

I have a 1998 Lexus GS300 with 178,000 miles. I feel a shimmy in the steering wheel at about 60-65 MPH. I don't feel it at slower or faster speeds than the 60-65 MPH range. It also seems it's worse at the beginning of a drive and improves with time, but never really goes away. It has been going on for a few years.
I thought a when I bought new tires few months ago and had them balanced and aligned that the shimmy would go away. It did improve, but it didn't go away completely. My mechanic said to put 500 miles on the car to break in the tires then bring it back in to re-balance them. That didn't work.
He said that it could be the struts, but that they aren't leaking. I plan to keep this car for another 60,000 miles. Have the struts gone bad? Does it need to be replaced? Is it safe to drive if I don't replace them? Any consequences if I don't replace them? Is it worth it?
Passat (B5) :: Will Sport Shocks And Struts Lower The Ride Height?
I already have sport Eibach springs and my shocks and struts are about to go, but this gives me an opportunity I can either go coilovers or all sport suspension. I want to go a little lower though than what its sitting at now, especially when I put my 18x8 wheels on. I definitely want to go static, air ride is too much. So I was wondering if I went with the blistein sport shocks and struts with the sprt eibach springs would it sit lower?

I've purchased my 2006 Sonata (LX) 2 years ago and noticed a very bouncy feeling when I drive. When I hit potholes and bumps I can feel the impact on the lower body, and when turning, hitting a bump would pull the car slightly in one direction. I've read through the forums that this might be normal (?) for 2006 Sonata's? I wanted to make sure if this is common occurrence and if changing the struts would make any difference. So I have an 06 Sonata with 56k miles on it. A few months back it started squeaking by the struts. It got worse last month and was pretty loud when going over speed bumps. Especially in the mornings
During my research on replacing them I came across a you tube video of a guy using AT-205 resealer to fix the squeak. Of course I bought some and was about to try it out but noticed that there was a lot of dirt and grime around the struts and other rubber mounts.
I decided before using the AT-205 I should clean everything first. Took some degreaser and sprayed everything I could see, including any other rubber mounts in the area. Rinsed thoroughly with water. Let it dry overnight and before applying the AT-205 decided to see if there was any change. To my surprise, there is no more squeaking. (It has only been 2 days though).
Hopefully it will not come back otherwise will use the AT-205 and failing that, will have to take the plunge and replace the struts.
