Saturn - SC2 :: Engine And Radiator Lights Starts Blinking On And Off When Driving
I have a 1995 Saturn SC2, stick shift, 58,000 miles. Occasionally when I am driving, both the engine light and radiator lights start blinking on and off, the radio goes off and the wipers do not work. When I stop the car and start it again it stops. I don't know if the lights are off then also. I was told by my mechanic that all of those are on different circuits and he is puzzled. Of course it doesn't ever happen when I can conveniently drive to the mechanic's shop. Otherwise this car drives very well except the AC just quit . . a broken pump I was told. Lots of miles left on this car but this problem is driving me crazy--I think my mechanical is skeptical.

After taking my car to 2008 Lexus GS 350 AWD for an oil change and recall fix, I noticed my iJDMToy LED Parking Lights and Xentec HID for Fog Lamps have stopped working and just blink a very low light the entire time. The parking light starts working fine when the main head lights are off, but as soon as I turn them on, they start to blink again. The fog lamps just constantly blink at a low light level while on. Ford F-150 - 1997-2003 :: 2002 - Auto Lamp Not Working / Lights Blinking - Relay?
I have a 2002 F150 FX4 Lariat, and last week while driving at night with the light switch turned to auto lamp the lights suddenly started turning on and off rapidly and there was a clicking noise, which I assume was a relay cutting out. I turned the headlamp switch to the on position and the lights stayed on. When I got home the lights would not turn off, and when I turned it to autolamp the blinking started again, but in any other position the lights stayed on. I had to unhook the battery. I then purchased a new headlamp switch and my ford mechanic buddy installed it, but now the autolamp feature will not work. Is there a relay that may have got cooked?

I have a 98 Ranger 2wd reg cab 2.3L 5sp. Recently the airbag warning light was blinking 2-7 which indicates bad lamp in passenger airbag deactivation switch. Since the lamp has no numbers or markings on it, and my repair manual has no schematic on that part, where I can find the ma, wattage or ohm rating of the lamp? Or a part number / source for a replacement lamp?

I have a 2005 Prius with 84k miles on it, I recently purchased it used w/ 82k miles.
While driving, about 15 miles into my drive the check engine light starts blinking with acceleration (I counted as many as 18 blinks in one time). The traction control light also came on a few times. With acceleration, the car shook. I was close to an advanced auto parts, so I went there hoping they could work. They were unable to have the connector sync with the car.
I ended up calling my girlfriend and asking her to look on this site for problems as I described. She found and read me info such as water leaking into the spark plugs (it did just rain allot yesterday) and bad gas. To my surprise, there was really no clear answer.
I called and got it towed to the Toyota dealer. The dealership just called and said they did a quick scan, and it "appears not to be from bad gas" but more testing will be done tomorrow. Would it be worth it to drive up and try some fuel water remover tonight? I also read on changing the spark plugs isn't too hard?
Passat (B6) :: Blinking Check Engine Light - No Power
So I am on my way to the store this morning and the check engine light starts blinking. After I get out of the store I try to start the car so I can drive the mile back home and then have it towed to the dealer. The car is only able to drive at like 1-3mph. I changed the cam follower 6k ago and the car only has 43k.
I'm thinking this seems like a fuel delivery/cam follower type of issue. At the moment my plan is to have AAA tow the car home so I can see if its a follower issue. If it is I think I'm going to have to take off my downpipe and put the stock one back on. When I put the car in neutral and step on the throttle I get no revs at all.

My check engine lights been on forever, like every VW, but now it's blinking fast, and the car isn't running right. It's messed up AGAIN, it's running really bad, like misfiring and not making power. It's shaky feeling in the throttle and power, almost like it's going to stall but it doesn't. What the problem is?

'99 Passat GLS - 79,000 miles - no mods ... Solid Check Engine Light was on for about 2 weeks...last time it was on, it was a fuel cap issue so I took my time with it. Well, all of the sudden on 4/14/03, on my way to work, (less than 5 minutes after starting the car) the car starts to ride hard (like going over grated pavement)...check engine light starts to blink! I pulled over. Eventually the light went back to solid.
Tonight (on 4th ignition sequence since picking up the car this AM) - the solid Check Engine Light came on again.
I had a friend who went through this with a 2000 Passat GLS - different dealer claimed it was the MAF, then the O2 sensors, then....she eventually took it to carmax to unload it.

2002 Passat GLS, 1.8T, 98K miles.
Was driving home tonight and nearly didn't make it. A few miles down the road I hit the gas hard going up a hill but the Passat kind of lunged a little and lost a lot of power and the engine emblem starting blinking. Coasted down a hill and it stopped and all was well again. From here on I am going careful up hills and not accelerating too fast.
I drive about 30 miles, 10 miles to go and I have to pull a tall hill. Going up this hill the light starts blinking again and I lose most of my power, engine feels like its not hitting on all cylinders and the turbo must be out. Barely make it home going about 40 mph. My check engine light has been on for quite some time, in fact I have had reset about 6-8 times with replacing sensors, air mass meters, etc. Could this be the timing belt?
Passat (B5) :: 2002 Running Rough And Yellow Engine Light Blinking Then Turned Off
Drove fairly fast (160km/hr or 100 miles/hr) then took an exit down a ramp and had to stop at a red light. Noticed all of a sudden that the engine was running bit rougher and then noticed the yellow engine light blinking. I know to turn off the engine immediately when this occurs but then all of a sudden engine light turned off and car was running smooth again.
Car has been reliable for 7 years - proper maintained, synthetic oil, 171000km, timing belt changed, burns very little oil, good torque. Should I have it checked by the dealer (fantastic fair vw dealer)?
Passat (B5) :: Bumpy Feels Like Clutch Not Catching - Engine Light Blinking Then Solid
My 2.8 v6 2000 has been acting wierd when shifting it kind of feels like the clutch is slipping its through acceleration so when the rpm's are climbing it feels like it is slipping but than above 3 rpms it accelerates with no problem, when it feels like it is slipping the check engine light blinks, obviously telling you to stop driving, but than the check engine light goes back to a solid warning and stops blinking. just had my oil changed and after that my check engine light came on solid, now it is sluggishly bumpy when accelerating and feels like the clutch is not catching,Wish i knew what it could be.

Driving on the highway today and when I started to accelerate fast I noticed my check engine light blinking yellow and also noticed loosing boost I think I can only reach maybe 10-12 psi, I am stage 1 revo and also it was 95 degrees out, what it could be, thinking misfiring? so would that mean new coil pack and spark plugs?

Yesterday (Saturday), I stopped to get gas in my 2004 Passat. I left the gas station and forgot to put the gas cap back on and close the gas cap door properly. I drove about 2 miles home and then noticed I had left it open so I closed it. I didn't drive the car anymore yesterday but then took it to church this morning and when I did, the malfunction indicator lamp (yellow light that looks like an engine) came and and remained on. I turned the car off and then restarted it and it remained on.
When I looked in the owners manual, it says this is related to the emissions system. On other cars I've owned, not having the gas cap on tight can cause the "check engine" light to come on so I'm basically assuming the equivalent happened here. Any way to turn that light off easily? I assume it would go out over time and/or the next time I get gas as has typically been the case in other cars I've owned (including a 2000 VW Eurovan). The car runs fine and doesn't seem to have any other issues or problems.
Passat (B5) :: Moisture In Driver Side Turn Signal Lamp
I noticed some moisture in my driver side turn signal lamp the other day. Any experience out there on fixing this? It looked pretty difficult to reach in there and open the lamp up to let it dry. And fixing it - finding the leak - might be more fun.
